  • Mazatlan cruise port. We walked the Blue Line to see where it led. Find out where we ended up and what to expect right at the cruise ship. We were aboard the Carnival Panorama Mexican Riviera Cruise in October 2023.

    We were there in December and walked the blue line. It was brilliant! I loved the walk and the scent of the various flora in the area. We had lunch at a patio cafe across from the beach and it was delicious. A really neat place to visit!!

      That’s so awesome to hear. We really enjoyed the walk too. I loved the effort they put into the blue line. Such a great idea! Thanks for sharing 😊

      We will be there in February, so how long would you calculate that it takes to walk the blue line from when you exit the port area? This seems like a nice walk to take. We visited in November of 2022 and did the Red Truck excursion; it was awesome but i was looking to do something on our own, maybe some light shopping and a nice meal. Thank you in advance.

      @@vivianorozco4128 Hello! We walked to the Mercado and Basilica, stopping along the way and enjoying the beautiful day. It was roughly an hour. Then another 30 minutes to the malecon (boardwalk area at the beach), also strolling and enjoying the day. We had a wonderful lunch across from the boardwalk and strolled back to the ship afterward. We would definitely do that again!

      @@vivianorozco4128 we took our time and took breaks along the way. I would estimate it took 30 - 45 minutes. It’s a really nice walk and once you get to the boardwalk you’ll come across shops and restaurants. I would definitely do it again.

    Loved the video. I'm trying to educate myself about Mazatlan since we will be there in November of this year. So walking the blue line and exploring on your own; I am a little bit nervous, walking by ourselves - can you get lost actually? That seems like quite far from the ship to walk, and then how do you know how to get back? Or is it pretty self explanatory? I was thinking to take cruise excursion, but also was thinking whether we should just walk around.

      We noticed that there were people in blue shirts positioned at different parts of the blue line - they are there to answer questions and provide instruction if needed. Otherwise, the blue line is fairly easy to follow, but as I mentioned in the video, there is a point where the line disappears from the ground. If you are worried, an excursion or taxi are other options. Hope that helped a bit. Have a great time 😀

    beautiful Mazatlan! A question: how many minutes did they walk to the historic center?

      We didn’t time ourselves but I estimate around 30 - 40 minutes.

    that seemed like a very long walk from the terminal, would you recommend a taxi or shuttle?

    • @TravellingKareena
      @TravellingKareena  7 місяців тому

      That would be a personal preference. The walk is fairly easy (flat) but takes a while. If you have mobility issues or prefer not to walk, a taxi would be a great alternative.

    we will be there in a couple of weeks. Is there places on the boardwalk where you can sit and drink a beer or two? Were you bothered by vendors appoarching you to buy items from them?

      Hello! We didn’t get approached by vendors while on the boardwalk. There are however many vendors and taxi drivers that will approach you at the cruise Center and just outside the gates. Once you walk a bit, that lessens. The boardwalk is beautiful. We didn’t stop in any stores or restaurants on the boardwalk (they were on the other side of the road and we ran out of time). Have a great time!
