- We had the pleasure of hosting WodeMaya and his team in our village home, in Namibia. Before we start our day, which is usually filled with hard labour and toiling the fields so it's important to have a decent breakfast. I
t's also very important in my culture to have a warm welcome for visitors into our home and there's a special way of doing that. Come a long as we show. you how all that happens.

Kenyans let's gather here.., .🤭... Is that not roasted ugali with tea?😂🤭🤭🤔 My people from western kenya can relate😅🥂
they ogeni porridge
She is calling Ugali (Semolina) porridge
The Namibian majority tribe originate from the Great Lakes area. Hint.
thats ugali and tea my older sister knows what was my favorite morning meal living back as kid love from transnzoia guys
Ugali na 'turungi' in the morning, Africa kweli we are one! I love this lady @ItsWoven and she sounds like a Luyha of Kenya. When she says you are welcome the first day and after three days you no longer is a visitor, you are part of the household, reminds me of Swahili poem 'Mgeni siku ya kwanza..', meaning the visitors first day
At night its porridge, in the morning its bread...Africans we are so intelligent! Great content😍🇿🇦
Way too intelligent and resourceful! Thank you for tuning in, Hope 🙏🏾♥️
🤣🤣🤣 I know right.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH
Let me hide before Namibians come & beat me up ⬆️ It was awesome spending time with u😍😍
Wodemaya, I’m going to join my fellow Namibians today, if I don’t see that notification at 4pm sharp 😂😂😂
As a Namibian UA-camr, I am so happy to see such great collaborations with Africa’s most influential UA-camr. Congratulations @ItsWoven for great content always. Namibia 🇳🇦 to the World!
It was really an honor to collaborate with Wodemaya, he’s doing the most for African UA-camrs man! Thank you for watching ♥️
Namibia is so beautiful.
@@ItsWoven thumb up to you guys for the great work.
I loved namibia but I only have one sad story. I have a Norwegian citizenship. In 2010 I was traveling to Windhoek for my brothers funeral with my 2 sisters who were holding a Ugandan passports, I was let in but my sister were deported to uganda and the missed the burial of our big brother. It’s sad that I still feel sad after 11 years. In Africa we still carry on our colonizers work of dividing our self. ❤️ ur work Wode Maya👋🏾
Maya can live anywhere He is down to earth and a village man.God be with him.always
Cheers to the man who has no shame of dropping in the forest, that's Kwabena AkA the annoying village boy, caption "I don't want to say it here but i will say it" lol💃🏿😂😂 Am excited to watch more ! Thank you Woven for hosting him.
Such a great human being all in all! I wish they had stayed longer 😭😭. But it was definitely a pleasure to host them.
@@ItsWoven 😍😍 now the whole of Africa knows there by Ohauwanga Woven slaughters goats for guests. I hope your ancestors are ready for this shaashi I, na kimmy and your suu will be there soon😂😍😍

This video brings back memories of rural life in Africa, particularly Kenya - there is no peaceful feeling like waking up in the village and life is just moving at its own pace.
You’re so right, there’s no feeling like waking up in the village. If it were up to me and if network reception back home wasn’t so bad, I’d actually work from the village.
Thank you for watching, Sofia 🙏🏾
am so proud of my lady for always showing were she is from ,love you lots shiveli ❤❤❤❤🔥
Thank you so much my lady ♥️♥️🙏🏾
As a Ugandan in Rwanda, this reminds me of my home village where we wake up and enjoy that spiced tea with herbs and leftovers from the night before. Wow! My Africa, My Land❤
I still find it strange that we actually do not grow tea this side of northern Namibia 🥺. But yes, I love how we have more similarities than differences as Africans and thank you for give me a glimpse of village life in Uganda 🙏🏾.
@@ItsWoven Yes, I too love the fact that we have too much in common
This is real talk. Here, Wode Maya, lost his 'village boy' status. He was lost in the village life and it showed in his face. I love this video and the host was unbelievably calm. Fan of Wode Maya.
From USA 🇺🇸
Yes 😂
he no longer village boy 🤣
Yes
The part that made me laugh was the disappointment on his face when I said, we still have to go and collect firewood 😂😂. They were such a lovey bunch to host.
Thank you so much for watching, Christopher. I appreciate this. With love, from Namibia 🇳🇦 ♥️
@@ItsWoven You are so welcome and will add you to my list.
Can we just talk about Woven and Wode’s personalities??! 🔥🔥 I have been smiling throughout. I love it here❤️.
😁😁😁
Wode Maya’s energy just brings the best out of a person 😂😂. Thank you so much Tua, I appreciate you ♥️
@@ItsWoven I appreciate you too Woven. Keep the remarkable content coming👌🏾☺️.
To be honest it is my first time to hear porridge being taken with tea. This is very beautiful, I like the fact that WodeMaya he didn’t shy to ask for assistance and he didn’t even shy to go to the forest. Woven, Omake you did a great job.
Really? No offense. Where did you grow up?
How old are you? but those of us that grew up in the village and mostly with grannies this was a norm.
But I think ama 2000s will not really know this thing😂😂😂
We did that as kids, especially if bread isn't there
Me too my first time
With coffee is the best!
Born frees would n't know that🤣
Wode Maya brought me here. I love this content. Am a new subscriber to this channel

Wow! This Namibian village is so sandy like our Western Province of Zambia (Bulozi) - There's beach sand! It's actually Desert sand!! Down-to-earth, humble, organic food! Love this - Thank you Wodamaya for showing us ALL the beauty that Africa has...
Kwahae beautiful sands n unique in its way
@@rosemcnicol2200 we from Katima Mulilo, Namibia we speak and write Lozi fluently
Zambia and Namibia are definitely one (besides the colonial borders). The same landscapes stretch throughout and even our backgrounds are similar. I had some Zambian mates back in Uni and it was interesting to see that we have so many similarities.
Thank you so much for tuning in, Martha ♥️.
This was fun to watch, village life is the best I tell you.
I really love your (village)vlogs, I actually get exited like a child when there is a new one. Just to mention on what your guest said about the sand; Prophesor Diescho ones told us that there is enough evidence that the Northern Region was completely covered by an ocean in the Biblical times
I want to do research on this.. very interesting

This is really heartwarming 🥺. Thank you so much Rosa ♥️. That’s actually an interesting finding but there’s definitely a possibility because we also have rock and really good underground water.
This is beautiful. Let’s keep trusting God for your financial breakthrough and for your ranch 🙏🏾. Thank you so much for stopping by to watch this one, I appreciate this.

No Ghanaian UA-camr is as generous as Wode Maya. This gentleman literally collaborates with most UA-camrs regardless of their subscribers count. Literally helps people to start a UA-cam and gives them a huge jump start.
This village vlog is worth watching over and over again.
Thank you so much 🙏🏾. And yes, I can attest to Maya’s generosity. He literally collaborates with no expectations and he genuinely wants to see other African UA-camrs excelling. Forever grateful!

In the village we use right-handed. Lefthand is for toilet. Cleaniness. Nice coca cola table.
Same as in Ghana. Just as wode Maya said. How we're all very similar in Africa than we know
Okay, now this makes sense that the left hand is used for toilet that’s why it can not be used to eat. Thank you for the education ♥️🙏🏾
im left handed and i understand that butttt i cannott be made uncomfortable coz of culture . im a clean person and if my left hand is the strongest at doing something then i will use it. 🙏🙏🙏.
This is the best video clip from Wode Maya. Thanks

Amazing Africa….this video is so educative, it is priceless. I can see that the scarcity of water has influenced and shaped how the people live. They make the most use of everything they have. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Philty, I appreciate this. Yes, the scarcity of water has influenced a lot of how we go about our life in the village, but a beautiful life nonetheless.

Wow, beautiful content.. On the Tea: Back then, people roasted Millet flour in a Clay pot and poured it in boiling water. It was then consumed as "Tea".
Sometimes we still do this but we fry it oil. We usually like to do it wish fresh millet flour after pounding but it’s become hard to come by bc we sometimes refuse to pound and take to the machines
I am a Nigerian in Canada, Ontario. I have a red and white water melon 🍈 🍉 in my fridge. I tend to call the white one just “melon”.
This was beautiful Woven🥺🤗 enjoyed the video✨
Thank you, Lahya. I’m really glad you enjoyed it 🥺♥️
We used to eat roasted sweet potatoes with tea...porridge is prepared as a drink in the morning and evening.
I don’t think our soil is suitable for sweet potato. Your practice is similar to ours, sometimes we do put porridge in our brew (oshikundu), during the brewing process.
Your soil is Sandy and seems you have water issues in your region...sweet potatoes require a lot of water to grow and produce potatoes.
