As a UH alumni, we got the guy I wanted! Finally optimistic for the future and you nailed it on the head about Houston being a winning town. Look at TDECU when Herman was winning!
Lets Goo!! #GoCoogs and #MerryFrtizmas. Here's to a great tenure Coach Fritz. My only concern is that he hasn't utilized much of a passing offense at Tulane. I hope that changes with the talent we have at Houston. So many great receivers here.
After the Cotton Bowl, I sent Fritz a letter of gratitude for stating he would retire in New Orleans and break the unending cycle of Tulane football coaches as a stepping stone for personal financial enrichment. He responded with a very gracious letter. As a graduate of the Tulane School of Architecture in 1974, I am appalled at lack of integrity of Fritz to go back on his word. My word means a great deal to me. I am a Vietnam era, combat wounded United States Marine infantryman ( at 18 years old ) . My drill instructors ( tougher than Lee Ermey ) physically beat us to be tough, trustworthy, dependable, courageous, and never dishonor the Marine Corps. I guess Fritz never had that kind of mentoring. Flash a wad of cash is all that was needed to break his word. Tulane is better without him. It’s preposterously comical ! Tulane is appreciative but “ Slick Wille” said he wanted to retire in New Orleans…he’s full of dog shit Houston can have him couldn’t win at Home Dec 2 Record Attendance Home Field Advantage and Capitulated…you can have him…..
No he’s too old and nobody wants to play for Houston unless they are willing to pay obscene money 💰 and then reluctant to play if they not selected to be in CFP
A success on every level, Houston got exactly who they wanted here. No compromise.
looking forward to the day he leaves Houston for a better job
