Your hair looks beautiful. In my family the women don't gray, the men do. But guess who saw their first gray at 27...I never even considered plucking. That sounds painful. I started coloring my hair in my mid thirties. By 50 I was sick of it. Ten years later I stopped dying my hair and never looked back. Gray ladies just look boss to me and I get so many compliments. My husband loved it and was so encouraging. I waited untill I retired to take the plunge and I love it. Thank you for your inspiration and beauty.

Thanks for sharing! Just got my natural hair cut about an inch (on top) shorter than usual! The barber got a little happy with the shears and my sides and back are lay flat shaved. My kids and their friends loves it! Husband in shock since I have been growing it out mostly on top. My sides and front are the more gray areas. I am not sure of the back as I can't see it. I have been pondering about stop coloring and decided this is the perfect time to do so. So, I will be cutting the color off as my roots grows out. No more coloring as it not only damages hair bu,t penetrates into our brain. Going to be 66 in November and 40 years married in December. I have earned every single strand of gray hair on my head and not only from age. I will embrace the wisdom that it represents, personal growth and love myself even more.

I will be 63 yrs young in November, I started greying when I was 16yrs younger ☺ I bever put straight dye in my hair I was too young to have grey was my thoughts so I put Rinses in it, and it begain to be too much through the years, when I turned 25 yrs young It was coming in pretty good and I began to like what I was seeing even though all of my friend had beautiful blk hair, I embraced my grey and love it so here I am now soon to turn 63 and I am loving it and i have very, very little strings of pepper, i have cut it all off im rocking my short Silver hair.. My mom is 85 this year and I am fully whit comepared to her even my 84 yr old sister is not even grey,... Im soo glad I didnt mess my hair up with the rinses even though the rinse is not as harsh on your hair than the rinse... I love seeing the women and the men embracing their Silver hair... I love your story! I turned 70 in July and I kept saying I wasn't ready over the past few years. I am so tired of coloring... so tired, but my hair isn't pretty like my late mother's was. Her hair was evenly grayed. Unfortunately, I have grayed like my paternal grandmother...all around the top and sides with mostly black in the back. I look like a skunk, so with that said, I'm still coloring. I wonder can a professional color the back to make it look like the front and the sides? Oh, well, I'll get there soon , hopefully. Your hair is beautiful. I wear a very low natural which I love. Your story is encouraging. Thank you.

Well, you look fantastic now. Maybe it’s precisely because you’re quite young that the s&p looks so good on you. I’m in my 60s but am hoping I can rock it with a bit of red lip and style. Thanks for this!

You are so gorgeous...Everything about you!
I went nto sandwich shop yesterday to pick up a sub, and within 15 minutes got three compliments inside and outside the store on my way to car. It kind of caught me off guard for a minute because I've been covering my hair with hair peices and scarves for about a year. A little encouragement never hurts. 😊

I loved my jet black hair! I miss it dearly 😢. I’ve been wearing braids for the past 2 years because I can no longer get color due to allergies. I’m about to hop the fence to FREEDOM!

I came upon this video because Discovering Natural tagged it as interesting. She was right! I'm so glad I watched it. First of all, you are my hair twin! My hair is cut in the same style. The only difference is that you have more salt than me. Ignore my old profile picture. I have been too lazy to change it. LOL! I have been wearing my hair cut like yours since Jan 2023. I'm not dyeing mine either. I have had a love of gray hair since I was a child. I had a paternal cousin who grayed early and embraced it. It was absolutely gorgeous, especially with her cocoa brown skin and young face. Also, I love my Mom's beautiful gray hair. I don't have my Mom's hair texture, but my gray is coming in in the same pattern as hers. It's more white than gray. My grandmother also never went completely gray and neither has my Mom. Like you, I can't wait to get more salt in mine too. Yours is absolutely fabulous!! You have the same combo as my cousin--beautiful cocoa brown skin and striking white hair. Like several other commenters, I loved the way you told your story, from the music, your vibe, to the "cheers" at the end. You Rocked It!!

True. That’s what happen to me. After dying and these annoying grays peeping out. So I start going blonde cut short. I braced myself and let it grow gray. Now I don’t care anymore. Gray hair don’t care. Your hair looks great.

OMGoodness Sista. I am 52 and I am stil going through it. I started graying at the age of 32 or shall I say that's when I started seeing a few strands. At my late 40's is when it was getting very gray. I was using blue black rinses at the time and that was at the time I was using the creamy crack. I have been natural for 4 years now and I don't use the rinses anymore. I went 2 weeks without anything and my hair looked awful. I mean they gray. They are so stubborn and my gray hair tends to look a little yellow. I HATE IT I HATE IT. I can see if it grows out white white and silver but it doesn't and only the roots are gray. The rest of my hair is black. Let me stop fussing and continue to watch your video to give me the strength and boldness to stop, oh yes I use DYE NOW. 1N CLAIROL TEXTURES & TONES to dye my hair. This video was helpful like I said, but I'm gonna have to keep coming back to it cause I don't know. This gray hair is ugly on me. Especially when I don't know what to do with it. I wear my hair in a sleek back bun to work. I have 4 type hair. Fairly wavy, but that's it. But when I get it done, I go to a loctician and she does 2 strand twists and does a style and it lasts for about 2 and a half weeks until the gray starts coming in and that's when I take them down. This gray hair comes from my paternal side. My daddy head is absolutely white and his twin sister, my aunie and all of his brothers. Plus a lot of my first cousins that are younger than me are living they best gray head hair life. If my hair would grow out fast enough from the root to the ends..., I think most definitely I would consider wearing it this way.

Come on sis!!!! You tryna free me up in here! I just "stumbled" upon your video. I say stumbled in air quotes 'cuz I know it was meant to be. I just made a decision yesterday to let these gray boys have they're way! LOL! No more of that jet black color that I got to keep using for what seems like more often than 2 weeks! You look so pretty with your gray hair!! Thank you so much for this inspiring video! By the way, what do you use on your hair for moisture! It looks so moisturized and healthy! ❤😊

You are beautiful! Your salt and pepper is gorgeous. I am trying to embrace my gray. I even cut my hair short. I love the cut; however the color not so much. my gray is not white or silver, it’s almost reddish blonde. I’m wondering if that comes from years of coloring. Anyway, I’m committed to staying away from coloring. I will see what happens. Thank you for sharing your journey! It was quite entertaining lol.

I appreciate this post! Your gray, your silver looks great! I just colored my hair yesterday and I’m tired of using hair color approximately every two or three months - ugh! My grays have been coming in across my front edges and sometimes I find one or two strands within my hair which I pluck! oh no! When the Clairol starts fading out, I use the Quick Cover (mascara-like concealer) especially at work - my first stop is the ladies room mirror to cover up the gray. Although the gray, ah, the silver, looks beautiful; and the salt and pepper looks great on men, (no shame in their game huh), I’m in my 50s and I'm not quite ready to go gray - especially in patches; however I have been thinking about it though. I’ll have to revisit this post when I decide to let the gray, ah the silver, grow in. Thank you!

Speaking of skin you’re in, your skin highlights your hair or vice versa (beautiful). Of the 8 siblings I (the youngest girl) and my oldest sister grayed at the same time. Hair is valuable in my family, so no plucking ever happens. I love my gray, because some look like white clouds. I too still have some dark hair (dark brown). I love it all!!
