In 1968, the 'GS400' was a SEPERATE model than the Skylark. GSs in '68 should NOT have any 'Skylark' emblem anywhere on it. This car has a 'Skylark' emblem on the rear (right side) trunk lid.
I drove one. My mom had it and gave it to me on my 17th birthday. Aqua blue, white vinyl top, same interior. Not the GS 400 though or those wheels/rims but nice car. Had it for a few years from 71 to 75.
Beautiful, solid ,but very underrated classic. The Buick pony cars were so strong, sharp looking and quick. Where people clamor for GTOs ,442s, Chargers 'cudas Mustangs and Fairlanes, the GS,400s And Skylarks fell through the cracks. But they were quiet monsters in the day, and collectors are growing. Save a little money and invest in a real sleeper.
I had a 68 with ram air hood and factory 4 speed. AC had a 5 speed fan. It was fast.
It had a sun tach in the console. It went up to 10,000 rpms.

probably a "replica" like some of the 69 "gsx" replicas
