The biggest problem is that they've made ot too amazing. People coming from all over the country just to eat lunch. Makes it much harder for locals to be regulars. But if that's the cost of seeing it revived, it's prolly worth it.
I went for out 15th wedding anniversary with my wife three weeks ago. She surprised me with reservations. EVERYTHING is so much better now. Like brand new. Most importantly it doesn't feel like a sauna in there now. The humidity is non existent which is impressive. I was also born and raised here and had gone to Casa Bonita countless times. As a Colorado native I'm kinda ashamed I never went to the original Casa Bonita, but I am glad to hear that Matt and Trey kept a lot of the original charm and primarily just updated the restaurant and experience to make up for the previous short coming of the restaurant. I'm also glad that Matt and Trey used their massive platform and success from said platform to save such a beloved restaurant.
Wow they really made Casa Bonita really cool. Ive lived in Colorado my whole life and grew up mostly in that side of town and spent a lot of time going to other stores in that shopping center, but Casa Bonita has been pretty run down for most of the last 20 or so years. After seeing this ill definitely make a trip over there
I'm with the crowd that had no idea that Casa Bonita was real until I saw one of your videos showcasing it! Funny part is later my girlfriend told me she had gone there as a kid. Mind was blown.
To me, having been born and raised in Colorado, hearing that Casa Bonita was closer was like losing a part of my childhood. So happy it's still here in the world
I work right behind Casa Bonita and managed to get in twice before the opening of general reservations. Once with family, once with friends. Had a blast both times. You really managed to capture the essence of the place as it is right now, so hold on to this video, because no doubt things will change with time.

We had a Casa Bonita in Tulsa Oklahoma that we loved growing up. It was this magical place that as a kid you couldn’t find anywhere else. The caves were my favorite! ❤️ I think the negative commenters who are lost at how much people love Casa Bonita must not have gone as children. They didn’t revive a restaurant just to sell food, they did it for the nostalgia. We feel it! 😊
In 1958, a restaurant was opened in El Paso, Texas, called Panchos Mexican Buffet. This restaurant featured Mexican Flags that you would raise to signal to the waitress that you needed something. It's very interesting that someone would essentially make a restaurant that is very similar to Panchos.
As a local, you got in before we did. Lol but I went in the 80s as a kid and again and again and again as adults. I like seeing that nothing was changed to the point that it no longer looked like Casa Bonita. It looks the same but upgraded. Exactly how I hoped. Matt and Trey did it right. What a fun place, glad they bought it. Too many restaurants have turned into dull generic boxes. Casa Bonita has remained a unique entertainment restaurant.
I watched the documentary at a local Indy theater tonight, I got a reservation a couple of months ago, and I ran around the restaurant as a kid on summer camp field trips as a kid in the 80s. I cannot even explain how it feels to have a moment from my childhood so fully manifested for everyone to experience. Magical!!
When i was a kid, my parents had moved to Colorado for my dads job (only lived there for 5 yrs) and every single birthday we got to pic a restaurant to go have bday dinner..and i always picked Casa Bonita!
I went to Casa Bonita in Tulsa about 30 years ago. the entertainment was no longer happening and the feed was terrible, but i loved being there any way!
I live in the DFW of Tx, and there WAS a Casa Bonita on the west side of Ft Worth, went there a couple of times AFTER visiting the Denver location while on a band trip in 1983...I'm ancient...
Back in the 70s, my family would go to Casa Bonita in Tulsa after church almost every Sunday. It was like an amusement park. My favorite was the cheese enchiladas. 😊
I went in January and had the best time. I was called on stage for the Sorsoro magic show! Honestly, I didn't love the food, but I love this place. I hope the prices come down a bit so more people/families can enjoy it. This is truly a "fun for all ages" place, and those are hard to come by.

Fun fact: West Colfax Ave is supposedly the longest city street in the world, according to my fact-loving uncle who lives in Lakewood (not far from Casa Bonita, actually).
I haven't been in Casa Bonita since I moved from Colorado in the 80's, but what an awesome experience it always was. Hey! I live here in Denver and remember going to Casa Bonita when we were kids in the 70's except back then you could go whenever you wanted and we went so often we wore out the joint, but it never got old. Your life isn't complete until you spend an evening at Casa Bonita. Great video!

I'm from Tulsa, we had a Casa Bonita until 2011. They had the best handmade sopaipillas. Endless chicken platter was my go-to order, and we loved sitting by the waterfall ❤
I had no idea this place was so famous, but since I have family in Colorado, I went to the restaurant with my dad and sister. We didn’t even need a reservation. We sat right by the divers, and it was so entertaining! I love this place! I’m glad I got to experience it so naturally, without knowing just how popular it really is.
If you watch the documentary and see just how much effort went into renovating this place it makes you appreciate it that much more.

man i just want to say whatever camera and lens your using is fantastic. prob one of clearest youtube videos i've watched. good work
Trey Parker and Matt Stone did all the loudspeaker announcements and voices of Pappy, the skeletons etc as well. that's awesome of them!
Magical!!
We used to go to Casa Bonita in Tulsa and Little Rock. I will definitely have to go to Colorado! Thanks for the fun video!
When i was a kid, my parents had moved to Colorado for my dads job (only lived there for 5 yrs) and every single birthday we got to pic a restaurant to go have bday dinner..and i always picked Casa Bonita!
"Was it worth it?!"
@@SarahNGeti every single time!
I went back and watched your Casa Bonita video from 5 years ago just to see the differences. You can tell they put a lot of money and care into it.
I went to Casa Bonita in Tulsa about 30 years ago. the entertainment was no longer happening and the feed was terrible, but i loved being there any way!
This is up there as probably your best video I’ve seen to date.
I had no clue there were others. Learned something today. Was it anywhere the size and scope of this one?
It was big but it wasn't as big nor did it have as many interactive pieces. @@BigJimDenver
Had many birthday parties here as a child. super nostalgic to watch this as I no longer live in colorado
I went in January and had the best time. I was called on stage for the Sorsoro magic show! Honestly, I didn't love the food, but I love this place. I hope the prices come down a bit so more people/families can enjoy it. This is truly a "fun for all ages" place, and those are hard to come by.
Awesome video!! I used to go there all the time on school trips. I'm so glad it's back to it's former glory!! Brought back a whole lot of wonderful memories!!❤❤
Loved seeing your Vlog, The Carpetbagger, come alive after that spicey food+Sopapillas. Proud of you for persevering 👑'clean plate club', compliments 'Casa Bonita' Teams & Chef Loca. Thank you Matt & Trey, 'Casa Bonita Mi Amor' Documentary is beautiful & touching. Future Families & Children get to experience this joy too. Flower's really are blooming in the dessert 🌵❤
They've done an excellent job bringing this place back to life, first time seeing it all finished. Bravo 👏
Pro tip: go down the street to Chicago's for some next level goodness.
TACO FLAVORED KISSSSIEEEEEES 😂 omg that is amazing Jakob!
@thecarpetbagger the tower just means that lightning is striking the chaos from your life and the bad is going to crumble. Some tarot readers don’t take all into accommodations and just see the bad side of it and not the full picture. Cheers to a good year!
I like tacos and burritos
I didn’t even know this place existed! This looks like such a FUN place to visit! Gonna have to make a reservation when I visit my Sister in Law out in CO. 😊
I was so excited for this video and Casa Bonita did not disappoint!!!! What an absolute amazing restaurant. I kept saying that it reminded me of Disney theming. Trey and Matt definitely showed this place some love. What a fun place to visit, I’ll probably never get to CO, so watching your video was an absolute treat ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Matt & Trey are awesome for saving this place. Seems to be thriving and the food looks great. I would've probably went with the Carnitas
I had no idea. This is not far away from me. I will have to see if the house wants to get on the list. Thanks.
very cool! I was there last summer and they were still taking reservations
The food looks good, especially the sopapillas! What an entertaining restaurant.
This warms my heart. Thank you to the creators of South Park.
Thank you for posting this :-)
Wow...Casa Bonita was WAY BIGGER than I first thought. Had no idea there was so much more to do there than just eat and watch performers.
Fun fact: West Colfax Ave is supposedly the longest city street in the world, according to my fact-loving uncle who lives in Lakewood (not far from Casa Bonita, actually).
There's a very long road in north Korea as well.
Facts!
I haven't been in Casa Bonita since I moved from Colorado in the 80's, but what an awesome experience it always was. Back then, as a teen, my very first job was just to the right of CB at a store called J.T. Morley. Well, so much for a blast from the past filled with information about my life nobody asked for. lol Great video. Thanks for posting this.
Totally on my bucket list! Going next year
I remember going there back in 1993 and we ordered our food from the table so it’s different from when I was there!
Hey! I live here in Denver and remember going to Casa Bonita when we were kids in the 70's except back then you could go whenever you wanted and we went so often we wore out the joint, but it never got old. The cliff diving show is amazing and if you sat at the right table you'd get splashed with the funny smelling water when the guy hit the pool. Your life isn't complete until you spend an evening at Casa Bonita. Great video!
While I enjoy all your adventures, I think this trip was truly special. I think this was one of the best places you've shown so far. I believe you covered everything there was to see ( that you could show ). Thank you for taking us with you !
Don’t worry about the tarot reader, we put our faith in Zolar!!!
😊 call Jacob you make casa Bonita look fun again haven't been in over 25 years but now that they're opening up to reservations as of the 16th of September I will take my 5-year-old granddaughter because I think she would enjoy it as my daughter did at that age🎉🎉🎉 THANK YOU Jacob 💝
I'm from Tulsa, we had a Casa Bonita until 2011. They had the best handmade sopaipillas. Endless chicken platter was my go-to order, and we loved sitting by the waterfall ❤
There used to be one of these in Tulsa Oklahoma we used to love to drive there however it's been gone for quite a few years now I sure miss it
25:00 is like the Super Funtime episode. 😂
Wish This Restaurant Casa Bonita Was All Over The Country😊Such A Great Place❤Thanks For Sharing Jacob😊Greetings From NC❤
So cool. Thanks for sharing the experience.
