Okay, I am not sure why people keep saying that this song is sending a wrong message to our youth or something like that. Did you guys even watch this video and listen to the lyrics? There is nothing wrong or inappropriate in the video and the lyrics are pretty harmless, I just assumed that it was like a chilling after a hard days work or just blowing off some steam. Apparently we think that being a Christian means we lock ourselves up in our closets with our Bibles and do nothing. This is a fun, uplifting song and I am REALLY excited to see what Steven Malcolm does next!

im glad i can say this is a good song not just this is a good Christian song because this is litty.
Sometimes, it is hard to fully enjoy music by different Christians, because they believe is always added to their music and lyrics and everyone are on different levels with their walk with Christ. They might be talking about drinking, because all believers don't believe you shouldn't drink and how there are many scriptures that says it and talks about it not being wise. However, those who loves drinking... loves using only 2 scriptures in the the bible to prove why they love drinking and thinks it's alright to.
They often use the one about Jesus turning water into wine, or the one where it says it's good for the heart. They never get to the other scriptures where it talks about certain dedicated Christian's were not allow and forbidden to touch the stuff, or when a King's mother told him not to touch it, there's a scriptures that says you give it only to those in so many words who are ready to end their life, how the will be poor, how it's not wise, and etc. Each book was written by awesome leaders of God who themselves tells you apart of their beliefs outside what Jesus shared with them. However, they still was growing in Christ, while dealing with their own struggles. I believe Paul believed in being single, because he strongly felt being married hinders you and God's will for your life.
Cool song & sweet beats, although I do wish there could be more Christians who rap the word, so you can use them when you are being tested and tried like Jesus in the wilderness. Life and death is in the power of your tongue and we conquer by slaying the devil and his demons with the word. Have to create my own for warfare moments. May they have many more great experiences with God, as they be challenged and molded to grow for righteousness. Grace, mercy and favour bid unto them.

For Christians with legit questions, I'm noticing in here a bold claim that we need to make music that can get out of our bubble. Notice Andy calling it a sin to keep it to ourselves. Add to that a clear message that Christians can have fun and party without the substances.
Christ made a bad reputation for himself by partying with "tax collectors and sinners". It wasn't all fun and games, but there was deep purpose in engaging in those spaces.
Just my two cents...
freenate 04 worded perfectly. This is what I've been trying to explain to my elders in Christ. Honestly, (might get hate from this) but, we "Christians" come across as boring to non-believers IMO. I had a discussion about this with my wife today. Everytime I ask a friend or co-worker if they want to go to church on Sunday with me; they give me an excuse or just flat out tell me that don't want to sit through a couple hrs of preaching. I think we need to step outside of "our" box a little. Especially if we want to reach today's youth/adults.
Thanks YEH YEH. True life with Christ is the exact opposite of boring. It is also a ton more of an adventure than a party in the hills on the weekend (though that certainly sounds fun).
Has your church ever run an Alpha course? Highly recommend it! I'm sure the number of westerners who have found Christ through its approach to sharing the gospel number in the hundreds of thousands by now (but don't quote me on that).
In defense of people who are questioning this song.. he says "lit with no limitations" and when I was in school (07 grad) "lit" meant getting tipsy. Also references hallucinogens. Doesn't reference God one time. I'm super about Christian music branching out to draw the world in but the message still should be clear. Lecrae does the song Turnt and it's about partying and he mentions drugs and all that but he's VERY clear about his faith. This song doesn't. Anyone hearing it and not knowing these were Christian artists would have no clue it was meant to be a Christian song..
