One hell of a track, Progressive House at its best. The vinyls are pretty rare and go for silly money so if you cant afford a copy you can get Face 1004 on a CD called Tales From The Engine Room.
wow how cool is that, amazing wot you find on youtube :) there were only ever 20 of these vinyl's made, i still have 2 in the museum, i wanted at least 1 track that was truly "dance" on the album, funnily enough it was actually memory of water we we're trying to plug.. the band didn't really like this 1004 remix, it was only as a filler that it made it on to the B side haha glad you posted & its still being enjoyed. Marc Mitchell (aka wot was Positive light )
Marc, I know you posted this comment a long time ago but I wanted to thank you for this track. It’s such a beauty and makes me nostalgic for the late ‘90’s. As with many other people, it was Paul Oakenfold who brought this to my attention. I’m so glad it’s on UA-cam! Once again, thank you.
Endlich mal Techno der was taugt, abwechslungsreich interessant und dazu noch von Marillion. Echt super gemacht. 6 Sterne.Viele liebe Grüße, Benny aus Hilden, NRW,Germany.

Can't believe i'm leaving the first comment here. This track must not be getting the attention it deserves - in my book one of the best progressive/trance tracks ever!!!
ive collected all the tracks from oakenfolds mixs on vinyl . theres one or two i havent got ! this been one of them can you please re release it ? . cmon bring it back ! xxx
haha i dont remember that line..what time is that at ? the vocal samples i used from the original track where } i took a leap & i landed on the moon.. & man of a thousand faces.. :)
How much for one of those vinyls Marc? This is an absolute gem of a track. In amongst a lot of shite, this is one of trance's finest moments. Thank you.
According to the liner notes, the Marillion fan of the remix duo (Mark Daghorn) went home after something went wrong, so this is the one song of the remix album that Marc Mitchell did on his own, and as you can see from his comment above, the band was also rather lukewarm about it....

Thank you so much for the music! Now, you would provide a gift for the world of music if you were to repress this gem
I love the entire EP. Truly brilliant. "Memory of Water" mix leaves stirs something deep inside me. It's absolutely gorgeous.
What was your involvement with "The Silent Buddhas", who are credited for mixing the Big Beat mix of "Memory of Water"?
Wow only 20 copies? I have 2 copies myself. That means there are only 16 copies in the wild.

is it just me or is this the most epic and proggy track ever.. it outdid prog trance before its time
I’m convinced this track was from the future
@@a.swords4296 thats what happens with any music touched by Marc Mitchell.
Oakie's Sydney mix on the world tour was by far the best
Without fail, at 3:30 a shiver shoots down my spine in anticipation for what’s just around the corner 😎🕺🏼💃👹🔥

This is TIMELESS... love it today as much as I did in 99. 3:53 brings back memories!! Blessings.
Brilliant to find this on UA-cam. A true masterpiece affectionately remembered from Oakey's Essential Mix World Series of 1999.
Great tune!

Populist Oakenfold has already done everything a long time ago, even in Russia we listened to this Essential Mix many times
Sometimes(after a big joint ofc) I feel I came to this world to listen to this track. Unbelievable!
thumbs up who remembers this masterpiece even after those years ...
amazing tuuuuune
Einfach nur der absolute Oberwahnsinn!!!!!!
I just LOVE this
What a treat! Thank you for posting.
super!!!
3:53
wish I could get this in 320kbps. Top tune to play in a trance set. Really a positive and uplifiting tune.
I think if this was played in the clubs it would be a major hit!!
It was played in clubs back then, only thing that not many people had the promo 12"
20 copies and you sent one to Paul Oakenfold...? Thank you!

I first heard this track played by DJ Elusive in his Oslo Nights December 2003 set. Love it. What is that line, "What do you want to play?" from?
Wie unten _
This is Marillion's version of U2 "POP" Never quite understood it but maybe I'm not supposed to!?
So garnicht Marillion aber absolut Stark
What are the words at 5.03 pls?
But if I had to compare..this is the better of the two.
This does not sound like Marillion...
