Not sure if it is the best, I think it depends on the mood and what you want to get. This one is my favourite sofa crashing relaxed mix. When I want more punch to get off the sofa I switch to hard tech ua-cam.com/video/6L-J_COeB0U/v-deo.html or even dark hardcore ua-cam.com/video/vm10YkI35uc/v-deo.html
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I love any help you can give me.
This CD reflects a night of clubbing in 1 hour. the build up is perfect, the peak is mindblowing, the early morning tunes are psychedelic. Supreme set.
true, on the other hand, most young cats who are starting with digital have no concept of journey DJing, letting records ride, doing builds, transitions etc and instead we get mash up nonsense ;) i.e. they are refusing to learn the craft but letting the technology dictate their output. mmmmmm internet arguing
Senator Wax Davis so true. Genre locked mindset is not good for the future of music science or the dj art. However we who can step outside that box or have history across multi formats will always be able to stand out x
fast by todays standards but i don't think theres been a better mix than St Germain 's Deep In It to DBX Losing Control. Don't think nothing will ever come close. Always in my head......

the reason this mix never made it into my all time hall of fame 90s mixes was the insistence on making it one whole track i.e. Track 1 - 60mins, so you had to fast forward in to your favourite tracks. There was some pretentious rubbish on the cover about 'Laurent insisted you have to experience this mix as a journey so no individual tracks blah blah'. All this masterstroke succeeded in was the CD getting put to the back of the shelf.
He speaks the truth though man. It is a journey. I remember purchasing in either Abbey Discs in Abbey Mall or Music Power in Temple Bar and it has always been my favourite mix.
@@djmadwax to me it's the main point of all mix CDs bar the stitched together compilation ones. It's why I bought this CD, because I admired him as a DJ. What I objected to was being forced to listen to it in one go, 'Laurent insisted'. One of the best 'journey' mixes ever, Coldcut's JDJ, is meant to be listened to in one go but you also have the option of going to individual tracks, or easily to sections of the mix you like. For Garnier and Mixmag to decide for us it had to be listened to in one go was pretentious and arrogant. I think that should have been left up to the listener. It was a conceit of many DJs at the time, 'my set is a journey, not a collection of tracks'. HIs blends on this CD, aside from the first transition, which I still think is incredible, were generally boring and not worthy of demanding our attention with a one-track mix.
What are you talking about? You could give some people a pile of gold and they would still moan about it weighing their pockets down or some such nonsense.
Excellent Laurent ! C est a toi qu on aurait dû remettre le hot d'or !
I've been listening to this since 1995 / 96 and I think its probably the greatest mix anyone ever made.
Agree

That moment when you wake up with a 24 year old mix in your head and find it on UA-cam. Priceless.
I had this on MP3 long time ago, and listened to it uncountable times. Hehe.

Laurent shows the digital djs how it's done, genius vinyl mixing and the Davina track is on another level even today. Thanks for sharing
Laurent is a digital DJ these days too, medium itself is not that important, more important is how you use it..
St Germain track is still fresh today

what's it got to do with whether he's using vinyl or not? The editing process was digital and so was the mastering of the CD.
15.40 l'un des enchaînements les plus imprévisibles et sans doute le mieux réalisé de ma jeunesse.
I FU**IN' LOVE THAT MIX FOREVER AND EVER !!!!!!
had this mix on cassette tape all those years-back then it felt so grown up amongst the mindless rave mixes. and its still a beaut of a mix.

Audio / Sound Errors in the last 5 minutes.
Therefore the mix has become worthless to use.
Who Am I, Who Ar You hahaha really? For God sake he is a true Master

you're getting it free to listen to on youtube so don't be a prick
What about remastered version?
