Now I'd love a season of survivor where they bring duos from past seasons and they compete one world style on a single beach.
Would be fun to put one thing to the test: Every season that Tony and Sarah have played together, one of them won. I think if one duo had the ability to beat them, it'd be Stephen and JT. Maybe not now, with the blunders JT has made in his later seasons, but it'd be amazing to see duos in the prime of their games.

Stephen was not bad in Second Chances, i think he was a little paranoid but after what happened this season, i can't say i blame him. JT was...memorable

@@anthony-le5uo What do you mean how? It’s pretty self explanatory if you watched both the other two seasons he played in. He set the hero’s up for failure when he gave Russell the idol. Then he got voted out because of it. His Game Changers season was the absolute worst though. He literally told the other alliance their plans which resulted in one of his closest allies going home with him leaving right afterwards.
They are not even competing for the million. They are literally all competing to get a seat next to JT
I love how Stephen thought they would never work together at the beginning to now still being friends to this day
Tocantins was just a magical location. Idk I really appreciate the few times they travel to South America because I feel like they were always unique looking places
It feels like the last time the location was a major character for a season.
Brazil has so many different environments with great variety of Fauna and Flora. There could be like 10 seasons in just Brazil. Btw, "Dingus" does not mean "will to overcome" in Portuguese. I don't know how Stephen came up with that =P
And btw, Chicken Hearts are absolutely delicious! If you're ever in a Brazilian STeakhouse, you should try them, even though they are actually somewhat cheap!@@OnceUponAnIsland

I really respect Taj for choosing to go to exile and allow everyone to visit with their loved ones. I know there’s the “duh it’s a night alone with her husband”, but she could have just as easily said “nah I’m gonna keep this for myself”
Fishback doesn't get the respect he deserved. He was LITERALLY behind all of the moves and JT kinda just hid in plain sight. For Sierra to say Stephen was one of the weakest players everbis just laughable coming from her and isn't even REMOTELY close to being true. This was a case of bitter jury and blind love for JT rather than you played the game the hardest.
Now I'm fine with JT winning, I probably would've voted for him myself but Stephen didn't deserve the shit he got from them

I think Sierra was projecting a lot. She was arguably the weakest player on the season and definitely the weakest player to make the merge.
I prefer Stephen over Cochran
Stephen is a forever survivor legend I have put him in high regard with JT from what they accomplished in Tocantins. A top tier season
It's honestly incredible how JT was able to seduce Timbira into basically sacrificing their games for his benefit. If he never played again, he'd be considered one of the GOATS.
Sadly, though, he did come back. And now I am just left wondering how he managed to pull this off given how he on average faired on Survivor.

@@esdeathisbae9480 agreed. not only did stephen help him with his plays, the fact they were in a partnership combined with JT's general charisma meant that every time JT lied or manipulated someone during that season everyone blamed it on stephen. therefore at the end everyone voted for JT because of his 'honesty and integrity,' even though JT himself says earlier on in the season that he was not playing an honest game and never intended to.

My favorite final 2 of all time. Both played an incredible, winning game and both were deserving of that million.
I think it's really awesome how JT stayed in an alliance with Taj even though he could've easily blindsided her and simply got her out of there. I kept thinking "Why is he still keeping her around?" And I came to the conclusion he must've actually became friends with her or really trusts her.

I loved this video, they’re my fave Survivor duo ever. I can never not be in awe of JT’s social game and he’s charming as all hell, and Stephen is like my brother from another mother ❤️❤️❤️
You got to acknowledge the first and straightest Bromance, Rudy and Richard. But like.....I'm more of a Ace and Sugar fan so 🤣🤣
Their relationship is kinda like the enemies to lovers archtype (as in platonic lovers).
I love this season so much! It was one of the first ones I watched when I got into survivor :) jt and stephen’s friendship is so sweet to this day
I’m also from Alabama, Albertville in my case, and my family all raise black angus and chickens. JT is a good representation of all the folks I grew up around. Everyone always expects us to be hateful and married to a relative but I personally believe Alabamians are some of the nicest most genuine people on the planet.
I vehemently disagree. A straight version of Colton Cumbie would be an accurate example of Alabamians.
Alabama fans have been harassing FSU fans night and day since FSU got snubbed by the College Football Invitational. They come to FSU videos just to talk trash. FSU played North Alabama and were subjected to dirty hits all night long, too. It was a disgusting display trying to injure people and ruin careers. And that's just in the past couple months. There are countless examples centered solely around college football that prove just the opposite of your OP: things as ridiculous as poisoning historic trees and rich middle-aged ladies leaping to attack opposing fans at bowl games (Michelle Pritchett at the 2014 Sugar Bowl).
Years ago I went to Dothan with my girlfriend because she needed to buy a new car. Multiple times I had to remind the salesman that I had nothing to do with the purchase and that he should be talking to my girlfriend.
I met one person from Alabama that wasn't a complete d-bag. His dad (from AL) abandoned him and he mostly grew up in Florida.
The marrying relatives part is way overblown, but it's still one of the poorest and most uneducated states (MS is the only one I'd say is worse) and it shows in its natives' lack of class and character.
JT really played this game so well just to fumble the bag miserably the next 2 times. Crazy

You never see a duo stay that loyal to each other anymore I don't count dom and Wendell because they wanted to get rid of each other near the end but couldn't

The jury was way too harsh on Stephen. I think JT played the stronger game, but both of them played very good games and helped each other a lot.

It’s honestly crazy to me how nobody voted for Stephan and the way they degraded him at the FTC is insane to me. He played such a great strategic game and didn’t get any credit for it. Guess that’s what happens when you go against one of if not the most popular players at the time to ever play🤷♀️
Coach was definitely the dark horse of tocantins. In my memory he is the only guy who went the distance, playing as honest as he can(minus the amazon story).

The show never shows us. They simply just hated her. In reality she probably had a bad personality but the show didn't want to justify coach's feelings towards her since he was portrayed as a villain.

Anyone else feel like Erinn and Tyson had non-stop sexual tension, to the point where Tyson legitimately hated her, and they refused to talk to eachother the entire time, and then Erinn voted him out.

everybody would've been pretty much screwed with JT next to them at final tribal. really, the only way stephen would've had a SHOT at winning in the final two was if he had pulled some strings to get JT out wayyyy before then and went with someone else, which is what he tried to do (too late).
even though he tried switching up on JT in the end, I can't say I blame stephen. he KNEW that if he took JT to the end, everyone would've voted for JT against him, and that's why he would've taken erin in the end.
it's funny that JT was so damn likeable that no one even tried getting him out when the numbers were bigger. it's honestly like they didn't even consider JT to be someone they were playing against, and they focused too much on picking off "weak" people, when really--the unlikable or weak people are the ones you WANT to take with you to the end.
in hindsight though, stephen should've just stuck to being loyal to JT, because that would've made his case a little better at final tribal.
I feel like the editors are good at showing bromances. And are okay at showing male/female bonds (from the male perspective). But they really seem clueless on portraying strong bonds between two or more women, like incapable of knowing how or something. Not exactly bizarre though - quite typical to be so male-centric and for them to not even notice. Must be like breathing oxygen to them.

I feel like that has less to do with the editors and more to do with the females, it’s already pretty rare for the woman to have great relationships that last long enough to become “bromance” status, but then you add the fact that they rarely will ever say or do stuff to rise to that level of friendship. For example Stephan says in the show that he would be willing to lose for jt, even to the point of saying jt winning would be similar to him winning and either outcome is great. That’s a rare sentiment for anyone but I’m not sure a woman has ever shown that feeling towards another on the show. Obviously we only have what’s been edited and shown to us as reference but you can’t tell me if they had a great relationship like Stephan and jt that they wouldn’t use it, it would make for a great story and tv, and I’m pretty sure that’s all the editors care about

Watching the Second chance season (season 31), and man, is it me or did Stephen get more annoying and villainous over time? Him getting eliminated after playing the “steal a vote” in such a cocky way is in my “top 5 eliminations that make me very happy” lol.
