We just bought a 2023 Rav 4 TRD in Midnight black metalic. Loving it. Still have our 2001 Rav 4 driven daily with over 340,000 original miles only normal maintenance. They live up to their expectations.
@tracksandtrees You just can't beat the reliability of Toyotas. Before you know it you will have one. No other Suv appeals to me like the 2023 model and I really do like the body style of the 2001. Ours has the sprty package. It sure does change the look up.
I am looking at the 2023 RAV4 Trail edition. The main difference I can see other than features from other models is the towing capacity has doubled to 3500 lbs from 1500 lbs. The engine and transmission are the same, do you know what modification Toyota did to double the towing capacity? If there are modifications does the Trail edition require additional maintenance or servicing?
This one reminds me of my 2019 Rav4 Adventure........got rid of it a year later and purchase a different Rav4. Currently love my new 2023 Rav4 Xle !! Liz, wonderful job with the reviews.....and oh yah what a beauty you are! Take care and keep up the good work!

First day, I paid $500 for the reservation for 4Runner, second day, I changed it to RAV4 Trail and next day, today, product advisor called me and he said that him and others have no idea where this 4Runner came from. I laugh and I said it’s because what I needed and want it. That’s why. So, I finished the deal just the matter of 2 hours and I’ll pick my 4Runner on this coming Saturday. I am so grateful for this and the rest of the Toyota personnel. You are all such an amazing people. Thanks again for your response and all videos. I wish you all best. Take care always 🙏🙏🙏👍🌹

I couldn't be happier. 😊 Edit: We had to leave Florida and go to Alabama to buy it. We put a down payment on an Adventure in the same color in Jacksonville Florida but they sold it out from underneath us. So we called a few dealerships till we found 1 that had 1. The dealership in Mobil Alabama had an Adventure in Rudy red flare and the TRD we bought. There was 1 Adventure in Ralling NC and 1 in some other state. They are hard to come by. If u see 1 but it asap😂

The Trail has: 3,500lbs of towing, bridge style roof racks, 19”TRD black wheels, orange stitching, available in two tone, mocha interior available, 1,500watt outlet, 8.4 l/100km combined, raised fender flares VS XLE Premium: 1,500lbs towing, 8.0 l/100km combined, 19” alloys, memory seats both have similar features like sunroof, heated seats/wheel, power hatch, safety senses etc :) I’m probably missing some things - this is on Canadian models BTW 😊
@Tracks and Trees The trail doesn't have memory seat while the XLE premium does? That is sad! It should have been available on both. I wonder why it was removed and why the drivers seat doesn't have a holder behind like the passenger seat. Cheap cost cutting.
Isn’t the Woodland a better choice with the Hybrid engine. How many km do you get with the Trail model compared to the Woodland model. How long is the wait to get a Woodland model. Why isn’t the Woodland offered with Soft tex faux leather like the Trail. Isn’t the Woodland $150 more. How long is the wait to get a Woodland model
Depends if you’re towing or not! Otherwise I’d say they are about the same! Not much mechanically different, just extra air intake to help cool the engine while it works harder pulling a heavier load

From what I know it has an additional air intake to keep the engine cool while working harder!

Mainly additional transmission cooler and bigger alternator.
