Hardly. If you're committing a crime that's going to be quickly responded to, you want to quickly get out of the immediate area with as little as possible to identify you. Cars have license plates, and even if you remove them, it's easy to get stuck behind other cars, requiring illegal maneuvers like driving into oncoming traffic and running red lights to get distance. That then draws attention and makes escape more difficult. Motorcycles are a better option, but are still plated and are very loud. Bicycles are unplated, draw less attention, and don't draw as much attention when breaking traffic rules. A fit person can easily go half a mile in an urban environment in three minutes, one mile if they're able to go non-stop. If you're a half mile from the crime and are wearing nothing identifying, it becomes very difficult to immediately find you. There was a highly successful bank robber in the 90's who was an Olympic cycling hopeful. He would change into Lycra and zip off after every robbery. He was only caught because he got spooked and ditched his custom-built bicycle, which the police were able to track down to him. Heck, we recently had someone assassinate a healthcare CEO in the middle of Manhattan and he successfully escaped immediate arrest by bicycle.
I came across him for the Monday night game Rams vs Chiefs at the coliseum. Originally, the game was to be played in Mexico but changed to Los Angeles last minute. Took a picture with him, he recorded his social media content while we was tailgating... and that was it. Next thing you know, WANTED !!!!! for Robbery ...
I had no idea who this dude was until yesterday when I saw a headline that Amazon is making a documentary about him. I can’t believe this is a real story and that I’m just hearing about it 2 years later.
Just caught the mini movie on SportsCenter and this is absolutely insane! There’s so many “fans” out here and they just use it as a disguise to hide behind. You never really know someone.
@5o3thiago I hope it does become a documentary! So every penny he makes off the documentary, goes to the bank teller he terrorized, because he now owes her $10.7M!! Time for her to get paid!
Amazon is doing a more thorough documentary, it was just announced the other day. That’s how I found out who chiefsaholic is. I went two years not knowing any of this even happened.
@@gunner-qf9ehman she really must be scared for her life putting herself on a documentary and showing her face and name and her house…. Sucks what happened to her but she annoyed me with her horrible pitty story. I just know if you’re actually scared for your life that him or someone he’s connected with may come for her to “finish what he started” as she put it you wouldn’t do an interview on a documentary giving your full name and place of living 😂
I found out about this when MVS posted a picture of him after they beat Baltimore at the Bank 😂 CRAZY!!! I feel like there had to be a cooler name choice than Chiefsaholic though
This is just like Smiley that attends almost every single WWE Pay per view 😳 like how do you afford all of this!? Front row right in the middle wearing a bright green shirt with a smiley face on it 😂 I didn’t see him at the last 2 though 🤔
The wwe pays a few super fans to go to all the ppv events. There used to be a guy in the late 80s to early 90s who they would give free tix to after they kept seeing him at the live shows. Think he’s called vlad the super fan
Can't believe yall made a story on this... shoot, might as well put it on my channel, would have performed better..... on second thought, never mind. I wouldn't give this loser 2 seconds of fame on my channel.
Really good. One of the best pieces ever done by ESPN.
We need a guy to take the same disguised now
Ain't no way Chiefsaholic got a ESPN Doc 😂
this is everything Chiefsaholic has dreamed of. Ya'll just made his year lol

Robbing a bank on a bike that’s gotta be one of the stupidest things ever
It wouldn't be bad if there was a trail you could quickly hop on to stay out of sight, but riding down the street is stupid.

What a GREAT documentary! Well done to all involved.
this needs to be a netflix documentary
😮 no it's a UA-cam documentary

great story and well put together.
Much better than I thought
Meanwhile, ESPN partners with gambling sites. Oh the irony.
Saw him at the Cowboys game a few years ago..Crazy!
Wolf in sheep's clothing, was waiting for that line...
Even better than that, they said “A Wolf in Chiefs’ clothing” lol
@37:38 Jennifer Kunzweiler stabbed him
Just saw the mini movie on ESPN today and this is outrageous. I have a feeling he wasn’t really a chiefs fan he just needed something to hide behind
For sure.
He was robbing banks so he could go to the chiefs games. He was a chiefs fan
FallenPros ok
He is 1000% a chiefs fan
Ok sorry@@joshrandall4227
He is a legend
@EverydayImTECHnit A legend that now owes $10.7M to the bank teller he terrorized.
Don't drop the soap!
LMAO.
For a moment, I thought it was about a football mascot committing the robberies. Clearly, I misheard that it was a "superfan" in a wolf costume.
I was permanently banned on Twitter for putting a hit on him at the raiders game😂😂 It's wild to me that he was a bank robber and I'm still banned
Maybe if you become a racist fascist, Elon will put you back on
It's wild to me you aren't sitting in a prison cell next to him.
@gunner-qf9eh no I earn my money the legal way . go back to mom's bed !
When you're a Trumper the world is willing to overlook a lot
@37:38 Jennifer Kunzweiler should be too
I found out about this when MVS posted a picture of him after they beat Baltimore at the Bank 😂

He has the handwriting of a literal child
He’s not exactly the epitome of human intelligence
That's what you get when you cut education, red states.
ESPN must be down bad to be doing mini 30 for 30’s on a Chiefs superfan
Or ESPN is smart and makes money off of it before let’s say, Netflix?
Just say you hate espn and keep it moving bozo 😂

True.
@37:38 Just like Jennifer Kunzweiler should be
I played 2 roles in this. One as the guy that runs out of the bank and the other as the bail bondsman
Did they pay you well for those scenes?
@biggerduke pretty good. Plus we were only there maybe 6 hrs total. And my names in the credits which helps in the long run

the kingdom has many characters, spread across its vast expanse.
Sometimes even high-ranking subjects of a Kingdom get imprisoned and/or exiled. It's tough, but them's the breaks
We have pics with him at the chiefs kingdom a few years back super cool guy 😂😂 this was crazy 😂😳
Made the cut let’s gooooooooo
This is actually crazy
Isnt he in prison?
Yeah

Such a wild story
Billy Football did it first!
How can a innocent person get so hyped that he robs banks what a plot twist

Wow that was wild

I thought he robbed a bank in the wolf outfit one day and that made him hot
Omg, i better not be talkn to a felon🤥

He’s locked up

Man. For a while there I thought he'd split to Mexico.
With all that said do you think chiefsaholic is guilty or innocent I would say innocent you have to look at the backstory and understand why he did it

This woman interviewing not very good.
didn’t barstool do this first?
Can we please just watch one thing about the chiefs without that woman being mentioned. Fed up of her always being mentioned
Please don’t narrate anything else
ESPN has devolved into doing stories about alcoholic superfans.
A bank robber drunk on chiefs excellence. Dude was using money he stole to give away stuff to chiefs fans. That’s wild
