I am not sure about Nico W and Xavi Simmons in particular. Yes Nico has been good this season but the point is can NW be world class winger that FCB wants? Not sure on that. I get that our financial situation is not great but when you think RM are signing Mbappe we have to respond. And our respond is Nico!! I mean it sounds so out of context.
I am not convinced with both of these players, imagine in a crucial La Liga game or UCL QF/SF will these perform like Vini, KDB, Musi, Rodrygo, Mbappe. We have financial issues, we cannot sign Leao's or Kvara. I get it. We need to let go of either Araujo, FDJ, or Pedri. As much as it hurts. We cannot have 2 world class players in every position. We can weaken our depth and do a trade off for Leao or any player who can hit the ground running. Spend big on 2 players rather 40m and loan on average to potential players.
Regardless of Nico, Olmo should also top the list. Olmo can play and cover 5 positons. LW/False 9/RW/Interior (left or right). Proven player. UCL experience. Goal threat, good at through balls, Intense, dribbler. None of these qualities are present in any of our current mid fielders in combination.

With who you respond with when it comes to Mbappe? Haaland? Mo Salah? You have to get playmakers and have a MANAGER that has the tactics to put them in dangerous areas in attack. Nico could be a beast in the counter, or if he comes off the bench to dribble at the defense. He might get better in different circumstances. Same with Xavi Simmons. If Xavi has the team playing more direct and not that old tiki-taka from when he played, he might find something.

Barcelona doesnt play with a wide winger on the left, thats why Raphinha is playing better there, he needs to me more central. Xavi Simmons plays the same role and he is an upgrade on Joao Felix and it will be a loan so its a good deal. Nico will cost 50mln that will be better spend on a pivot that Barcelona desperatly needs or a ST if they sell Vitor Roque. If Raphinha stays i see 50mln for Nico Williams as a luxury buy.

This sounds all good and i would like to sell frenkie and Raphinha too, however, they have contracts and they could decide to simply stay and fulfill the contract they signed. The players have to agree to a sale and I'm not so sure they will.

I would keep lewy for one season, not paying 80 million s for joao. What i mean by this is that joao should leave with possibly ferran. Joao is good, but his performance is irregular. Plus 80 is too much for the way he played this season. Then I would keep ansu. Is true ansu ended up pretty bad. But let me remind you guys that he played in the most competitive league.
