i've had this song stuck in my head since the homegrocer commercials that people on this comment thread are talking about. i came in search of the commercial itself and instead found the original recording. had no idea at the time that the song was written by what seems like a cool altrock band from the 90s, thought it was just some catchy jingle written for the commercial. pretty neat, but i'd still like to find that original commercial, for funzies...
Homegrocer was such a good name and this song was perfect for a commercial. The first verse ends at exactly 30 seconds. I wonder who the stupid bastard was who thought webvan was a good name.
I was going crazy trying to find this for my boyfriend. My daughter's loved the commercial and got excited when they saw the truck. We used to have refrigerator magnets. I can't seem to find a picture of the truck.
Homegrocer... damn this brings back memories

God I loved and still love this album.
The twisted humor of Gen-X. I have this album on cassette! Thanks to my bud Steve who taught me of all things alt!
This was a song featured in the Home Grocer commercial.
"If you don't eat well then you might end up in Hell..." LOL! This song is so hilariously catchy!
Homegrocer swag

Thanks for posting this

@@elizabethsalvage4338 awesome! No problem haha!
Home Grocer that is.
I fancy a Mushroom Biriyani, but Billy Bragg has already brought one ;)
Been looking for the song Box Full of Bones by this band, but aside from a bunch of covers, there seems to be no evidence the song even exists :/
Wasn't homegrocer called peachtree at one time?
Best not to have songs about eating when your band is called Donner Party.
Where can you stream the rest of the album?
I don't believe you can, you might be able to on napster but you have to pay for a subscription. I gave up trying to stream it and just bought the cd
This is funny as the band’s name is The Donner Party.
This band is so hard to find on UA-cam
If you are call your band The Donner Party you best not have songs about food.
lol
Almost sounds like Gordon Gano of the violent femmes
