The filters have not change that much.
@bruno would a couple of 1 mm holes on 3 of the pleats significantly affect the filtering effectiveness? I purchased one with this slight defect and wondering if it's something to be concerned about.
This is obviously not a canister filter, it is the open European style filter correct. If it is new I would return it, as particles will get thru.
