In 2004 I was teaching beginner English in Istanbul. I used Tom’s songs in my listening exercises because his diction was surprisingly clear. My Turkish students loved him, especially the song Wildflowers. We established an unofficial Tom Petty fan club. I emailed his “people” and a few years later he played there. Through his lyrics women understand how he championed us; his female characters were strong and undefeated. Listen to Swinging or Too Good To Be True. We overcame repression. At the end he left behind two daughters and his beloved wife Dana. Tom has been close to my heart since 1978. Thank you Tom for greatly enriching my life. And thank you dear Cash 🌟 for All you do in sharing your gift so generously. You are loved ❤❤❤

I really loved his music and the Traveling Wilburys. Musicians, like all artists, speak to us in a language that goes beyond logic or mere words. They speak to our souls. In my opinion, music is magic.
Tom wrote "I Won't Back Down," after being pressured to raise the prices of his music. He didn't want to charge his fans high prices for his music. He fought and won, and wrote this song. lara trump doesn't deserve to have Petty's words in her lying mouth. BTW when I saw him in concert 2 months before he passed, there was a rainbow over the venue.
Makes me cry with happiness that a rainbow appeared and thank you for sharing your story. I was and still am a huge fan of his. I followed him through out his musical career. I am of his generation and I still listen to all of his musical journey. Thank you again boudica.
If you listen to his song, "Learning to Fly;" I feel you will understand his spirituality. After my second divorce in 1988, I saw him perform in Austin. I don't remember what the venue was, but I was sitting on a sort of platform that put me within his line of sight. I was impressed by how engaged he was in watching our response to him. Thank you, Cash, for engaging with his beautiful soul.
Petty was best friends with George Harrison, who was very spiritual, so I’m not surprised that he understood his earthly journey’s end. I loved both of them and their music. ❤
I’ve loved Tom Petty’s music since 1978. There was something very special about him which I noted through his eyes and his beautiful smile. Perhaps it was the pain and sadness he carried from his youth that I was seeing… and able to see because of my own painful youth. His song Wildflowers is a favorite of mine… I belong among the wildflowers…in a place I feel free. I love his music. Thank you Cash for giving us the gift of a beautiful image of his transition. Peace & love…always.

I love people who love his music. I always found his music to be from a higher perspective. Free Fallin' seemed to suit Cash's description. Runnin' down a dream, workin' on a mystery-going where ever it leads.
I loved Tom Petty and his music. As a Floridian which Tom was, his music was very popular here. Rest in Peace Tom Petty. What a great transition. I wish we all could have one like his. Thanks so much Cash for sharing it with us.
His song Cassadaga is about an ACTUAL spiritual town, camp, village that is well known for its , mediums, healers, teachers that he visited. I had my mentor there and it's a magical place. Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp...Florida. Great song, great guy who GOT IT! ❤
I listened to Tom Petty singing Free Falling and Into the Great Wide Open about 1000 times when I was wandering the country after a divorce. I feel like he inspired and accompanied me along the way.
I hope Tom knows how we all loved and appreciated him for his rock and roll love letters to us. "Don't have to be ashamed of the car I drive. I'm just happy to be here, happy to be alive" he sang on "End of the Line".
“Finality for the ego, but not for the spirit” that is profound. I would imagine that having that understanding would make one’s transition an easy going experience. Fascinating. Thanks Cash ❤️🙏👵🏼
Cash, I think it's important to point out that Tom Petty was a songwriter , more than a rock star, a songwriter; with words, music, stories and feelings/thoughts to get across, much the same as a poet, or a writer of books. His "I won't Back Down" had a very important message to him. Thank you for choosing to do this reading .
As a child of the 70's seen Petty numerous times and in my adult hood, he always gave a great show; you knew he honored his fans. He is missed. His music lives on.
I am so touched by this Cash, I have no words for it. I just REALLY APPRECIATE what you are doing on this level. As I prepare to go through my second experience of cancer in one lifetime, I too have come to this understanding of our “cycle of Life”….of course it took a couple of decades of shamanic practice to arrive at this conclusion, and a lifetime of seeking the “meaning of it all”… In me you are a Shaman on shamanic journeys when you are “doing pictures”. I was lucky to see him fairly early in his career, I think at the Cow Palace in SF. That was the first "big act" my then 10-yeqr old son attended in body (his first concert was in utero - Grateful Dead New Year's Eve '71.) He was completely beautiful, we sang along with every song and it was a great start to his musical life. And what a lovely transition! I hope mine will be so easy, as I do love the life I've had and am grateful for what it's been, that "see you next time" feels exactly right to me. Thank you for sharing this.
Wow. Imagine being as fully present with your own transition. Total awe. Tom was one with his moment. Bless you, Cash, for bringing us such raw beauty, you are dearly loved! ❤
I didn't know Mr. Petty did TM until now but your description of his transition makes total sense in that light. One thing a person can experience after practicing some time is "witnessing," where they feel as though they are standing outside themselves and observing, which is extremely helpful in daily life as you might imagine. I was told by my TM teacher many years ago that even if a meditator stops meditating, the experience will help them in their next life. My late aunt, who had a rough life, learned TM in the late '60s and lapsed but remembered her mantra and meditated with me a few times before her untimely death at 59. Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience; I hope my comments are helpful.
As an aside, Cash, I live in Gainesville, Florida, where Tom was born and raised. He is very much loved and honored here still. There are murals of him and there is a big dog park named after him. I think it's in his old neighborhood even.
Very honored to be in part of the enlightened beings club. You give such great insight, and peace to the process of transitioning. This one gave me chills, The old soul, it’s good to see you again, and the peace in his transition. It’s beautiful
Thank you, Cash. This was very touching. I was driving in my car and listening to the radio on the morning of October 2nd, 2017 when the disk jockey announced that Tom Petty was in the hospital after suffering a heart attack the night before. As he was speaking, I felt Tom Petty's spirit rush through me and he said "No! I'm already gone!" He showed me a picture of himself still in a hospital bed and my interpretation of it was that he might have been on life support. Your pictures seem to confirm that. I wasn't aware that he was into meditation and yoga but he was a close friend of Garry Shandling, who was a devout Buddhist. I think Tom Petty surprised Linda Grindel with a drop-in, too. Perhaps those years of meditation and yoga made him an effective communicator from the other side!
Lost to us was this talent - the rejection from his father. His friendship with George Harrison helped him as he matured thru the early days of the Heartbreakers. Thank you for bringing him to us. Scorpio Sun, Aries Rising and Libra Moon and a North Node in Pisces--deep thinker for sure, taking charge as an adult where he was helpless as a child. Tom and I were in a secret relationship = so secret even he dint know about it! I jest because I Miss his ways - as with so many Wilburys= traveling

I couldn't help but cry when he "turned around" and said "see you next time". I can see him, though I never did, strolling along with his hands in his pockets. I can't believe it's been 7 years since he passed.
Cash, I did listen to Tom Petty over the years - really connected to his music. What you saw in your pictures matches what I found in my heart (some people call this a download; I just know some things are true, like a celestial plumb line). Nice piece.
What a beautiful transition. I saw Tom and the Heartbreaker’s in 1986 and they were so good. There’s so much learning and wisdom in his crossing. Thank you.
I really enjoyed your pictures of Tom's cross over. I remember watching the news and reading about his passing. He and his band had just returned from a big tour. He went on tour even though he needed a hip replacement. He must of been living in a lot of physical pain. He was at home, had fallen asleep on the couch with his wife beside him. She woke up and he wasn't breathing. The parametics got his heart started and he was rushed to hospital where he lay in a coma. I don't recall how long he was on life support, a day or two maybe, when his family made the decision to take him off life support. His family and his band were all there with him when he passed on. In your pictures when you saw him up floating on the ceiling that made so much sense because he died in his sleep and never regained consciousness. I watched a documentary on his life years ago and I recall how he would talk about how he wrote his songs. Some songs would just download in a stream of consciousness and when asked about it he just said he didn't know exactly what it was and he didn't want to question it because he didn't want it to go away. In my own experiences with writing in stream of consciousness, it is a direct line with the light communicating through me. I imagine Tom was very well of that but he just didn't want to talk about it. Thanks for doing his pictures. I certainly miss his presence on our plante.
I became a fan of Tom and his band when I heard a couple of their songs on a Dutch import new wave compilation album in 1977. (They became popular in Europe and the UK before the US.) It wasn't surprising to hear that Tom Petty was (is!) an old soul, because the songs he wrote and sang were so insightful and inspiring and connected so well with all kinds of people. He went through lots of stuff in his life, including losing everything in an arson-caused house fire that endangered his family as well as himself. When he was looking down from the ceiling in your pictures, I think he was looking down at his wife and beloved daughters, maybe looking down to say goodbye. From what I've read over the years, he was a devoted and loving Dad, unlike his own.
Cash, Linda G, who wasn't a huge fan, she liked him fine and liked some of his music but didn't own albums and never saw him in concert said Tom kept coming to her after he died. He just wanted her to let his wife and daughter know that it was an accident and that he was doing fine. Since then he has come to her several times but I don't think recently. She was always a little curious as to why he came to her since she wasn't like a huge fan. Maybe he was looking for an open channel & Linda fit the bill. He was a very good friend of George Harrison (Beatles) and George was very spiritual & talked a lot about the cycle of life & Eastern philosophy. Thank's Cash!!!
I followed him throughout his career. A favorite of mine. I did not know of his deep spirituality. I am so deeply pleased in his transition, that he was so aware of who he really was/is… he understood. May we all.
Just listened to his album Into the Great Wide Open on this, the 8th of April, before noon in NE Texas, where we are supposed to have 100% totality if there is clearer visibility than has been forecast. Listening to The Dark of the Sun seems to be a special message from Tom. ❤
Though I recognize the songs, I was so busy at that period in my life that I wasn't really "following" any bands in particular, but I sure loved the music!
There are so many musicians I would love for you to do transition pictures for. Hank Williams, Sr., Johnny Cash, Mother Maybelle Carter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Patsy Cline...I love them all. I'm so glad you did Janis Joplin, another that I loved. Thanks for all you do Cash. ❤
Fascinating, Cash! As I saw Tom Petty, he lived true to his songs. He wasn't a Hollywood kind of guy. One of his lyrics is "It's a long day living in Reseda, move west down Ventura Blvd". Tom lived around the corner from my sister in Woodland Hills. That house had a serious fire and my sister moved, so I don't know where he ended up. I saw him in concert several times as I was a Petty Head. I love that he was an old soul. That makes a ton of sense. Thank you 🙏
I went to his concert that year on that last tour - in San DIego. I wasn't really expecting anything and did not have any of his music. I had the best time - I have been to many many concerts over the decades and this show was the best. I was floored! Such an engaging entertainer- amazing energy - so much talent in that band. I was a Traveling Wilburys fan for sure, but I just had no idea how wonderful he and his band were. :) Thank you, Cash!
You belong among the wildflowers You belong somewhere close to me, Far away from your trouble and worry.. You belong somewhere you feel free You belong somewhere you feel free, Tom Petty. Wildflowers.
Hello Cash, thank you for the transition pictures for Tom Petty. I was never a fan of his work but I have a new profound respect for him , since you have shared your pictures with us. I do love music and maybe i will revisit his work and listen to it differently now. 😊❤❤
How beautiful. I love his music and now I see he had deep values and understanding. I've been in the music business and known a lot of abuse. I find seeing deeper important. This gives me hope. Many thanks, Cash. May all know peace. 🌹
Great video of Tom Petty, his spirituality and his crossover. What a wonderful way to go. Hope I will remember what I learned in this life so that my crossover will be like his. Thanks, Cash.
TY 👍❤️ The transitions you do are so different and unique in revealing their Soul paths. From often tumultuous childhood experiences, some almost seem to display behaviors of either being demonstrative or domineering behaviors throughout their lives, possible coping mechanisms that play out. 🤔 Very much looking forward to my own return when the day comes.😊
I remember a documentary with TP where he explained his songwriting as coming through him, like magick. He was deep and wise as a human. What a beautiful transition. He knew he was already one with the light of Truth. Thank you, Cash! I feel deeply that we can work to let go of the human construct, as you describe it (ego, attachment, shame, etc.), while we are here and enter the end of life without fear or hesitation. That's what you are teaching me.
I never really knew who Tom Petty was before. Your pictures for his transition made me feel so calm. Thank you for sharing your very special gift with us all.
If I could ask for My Most Final Wish, it would be to have you narrate my crossing…. Although I am no where near crossing, I have an eager anticipation to get back home. To feel nothing but love ❤
Thanks Cash I look forward to my transition and have a ending to my pain. I’ve had a full life and experienced life to it’s fullest. I’m 72 and I’m ready for what comes next. You have helped me to except for whatever comes next. Thanks Cash and thanks Olive. Well on with the rest of my life.
I hope everyone sees the UA-cam documentary his family released called Somewhere You Feel Free. It shows his kindness and charming self deprecating humor. Oh Tom…we miss you 🥰
Amazing as always, Cash. I love Tom's music but did not know much about him. I loved to see how a spiritually based person handles the cross -over. I was hoping it was as you described. Thank you.
Transition pics of a musician come with a soundtrack for me. As you spoke the opening chords of “You got Lucky” played for Tom; “Ain’t Talking Bout Love” for Eddie; “Box of Rain” for Gerry. Music is its own form of immortality.
"He knows there's finality for the ego but not for the Spirit." Beautiful. Clean and pure...very special transition. Thank you.
That's how we feel about you Cash, " An old soul is among us".

Thank you for these drawings. Very touching
Thank you 🙏
Old soul indeed! Thanks Cash!
I keep hearing his song, “Time To Move On” as I watch this. I still miss him, but I know he had to get going.
I fully believe Tom was an earth angel.
Thank you so much Cash for doing this reading. I really appreciate it.
TY! 🤗
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me,
Far away from your trouble and worry..
You belong somewhere you feel free
You belong somewhere you feel free, Tom Petty. Wildflowers.
Gorgeous!!❤️
Hello Cash, thank you for the transition pictures for Tom Petty. I was never a fan of his work but I have a new profound respect for him , since you have shared your pictures with us. I do love music and maybe i will revisit his work and listen to it differently now. 😊❤❤
Gen Xer here, I have always loved and connected with Tom Petty’s music, him being an old soul doesn’t surprise me one bit. Thank you, Cash ❤
Thank you Cash. I have loved Tom Petty for decades. Absolutely fascinating
Thank you, Cash, for showing us such a beautiful transition. It feels right. There's much to learn from this.
Tom Petty spent the last few months of his life touring with a broken pelvis or hip or leg.. he was in a LOT of pain. 😢❤
Bless his soul
That was incredible and beautiful, Cash. Thank you for sharing this!
Feeling tender, and goosebumps at his transition. I can hardly wait. ❤
Thank you Cash. Well done Tom Petty. This was very profound and inspiring. Enjoyed watching this very much. Sending love❤❤
I like your idea of a Sunday afternoon.
I never really knew who Tom Petty was before. Your pictures for his transition made me feel so calm. Thank you for sharing your very special gift with us all.
He was one of my favorites... Thank you Cash
I've always loved Tom Petty! Always loved his music. It's a real vibration lifter for me❤❤❤❤❤ thankyou Cash❤
Such a beautifully articulated and heartful reading, I felt every inch of it. Thank you, Cash.
Tom Petty was a beautiful soul ❤
I hope everyone sees the UA-cam documentary his family released called Somewhere You Feel Free. It shows his kindness and charming self deprecating humor. Oh Tom…we miss you 🥰
The traveling willbury’s! Saw them in a movie theater while doing what we called MDA. Totally awesome experience.
I GOT GOOSEBUMPS FROM THIS READING! THANX CASH
Amazing as always, Cash. I love Tom's music but did not know much about him. I loved to see how a spiritually based person handles the cross -over. I was hoping it was as you described. Thank you.
Beautifully executed reading, Cash. Thank you for making my day better.
What a profound reading Cash, would that we all could, carry that grace & dignity in our own transitions when the time comes. ❤
Saw Tom Petty at Red Rocks in 1981. Besides his music, I loved his black high tops…casual way.
What a beautiful soul!!! Thank you so very much, Cash ❤❤
Amazing as always Cash! Thank you 🙏🏻💜
Good morning Cash. Very interesting pictures.
Transition pics of a musician come with a soundtrack for me. As you spoke the opening chords of “You got Lucky” played for Tom; “Ain’t Talking Bout Love” for Eddie; “Box of Rain” for Gerry. Music is its own form of immortality.
