Not surprised that Mr Robert John Davi was cast as Franz Sanchez : despite being a fictional character, the likes of Manuel Noriega and Pablo Escobar et al, come to mind in terms of the influence both men once had.
Davi was so convincing as Sanchez, a real life criminal praised him (he was kidnapped - allegedly) for his performance, he's so versatile as an actor, good guys like Agent Johnson in "Die Hard" and many others are part of his resumè.
I like his down to earth personality as he refers to some of his friends and colleagues by first or last names : this is someone I'd like to be in the company of in a social occasion - gets my vote.
