Can you imagine being so hated that you stop your art and then it eventually becomes known as the best art of it’s style and time?

Anyway, I'm doing a research on ukiyo-e. I am wondering if you can suggest me some of the sources you have used in this video?

I want to know what the writing is on Ukiyo-e pieces without a Haiku? I've noticed three distinct elements that are common. Writing in no box, writing in no box with a red stamp, wringing in an white/uncoloured box and writing in a red box. The red box and no box are practically on every piece.
I'm guessing one is the artist signature and one is the title. But which is which and what about the others?
