Liquid smoke gets a bad rep! It does have it's uses. Of all of the stuff our household has bought and thrown out over the years, we have kept the liquid smoke the longest. It is a sacred totem for our family. It is so precious that it has been used but only a very few times in the countless months of our family history!!!

While I've never even thought of the idea of BBQ turkey before this, I really like good roast turkey legs, and this got me to wondering with they would taste like with some bottled BBQ sauce sprinkled on them. I don't think I'd try it on any other part of the bird, and I wouldn't even consider cooking the bird in BBQ sauce.
Back in the day when there were lunch counters in drugstores and department stores, there was always a heated pan of barbecue as an option, and often it was the best option, along with fries.
There actually are great foods found in gas stations. There was a gas station near me growing up that had the BEST hot dog I have ever tasted. Keep it up wolfepit I would love to see more gas station tastings...

I don't know WolfePit, I'm from Pennsylvania Dutch country and I grew up on turkey bbq it's a staple in this part of the country. If you ever get up this way stop in at my Grandmother's house and she'll set you up!
I know that you understand that at 3 AM after 18 hours on the road with no food for 30+ hours and after working at a back breaking job for twelve hours before that, even a mustard sandwich tastes delicious as long as you have bread and mustard. So that bbq thing would be a REAL feast

Chicken and turkey are good with BBQ sauce on them. Not as good as beef or pork but a good way to moisten up dry, white meat.
