    Aside from getting comps and discounts through the MyVegas apps, don’t forget to check Groupon for Las Vegas deals. Before you purchase one, sign up for Ebates so you can get cash back. I’ve earned over $700 cash back so far. Get a $10 bonus by signing up through our link: www.rakuten.com/r/OURTAN3?eeid=28187

      If you go to Vegas quite often, or else if you're even just a little more toward "high roller" status, I recommend spending $395 on the Founder's Card. It's s discount card for everything from airfare to rental cars to 1-800-Flowers and a crap ton MORE. But the single biggest draw for me PERSONALLY, was that you get Caesar's Entertainment Diamond level rewards card automatically without having to gamble at all or spend tens of thousands in Caesar's shops and restaurants.
      So what does Diamond give you?
      Well, there's a LOT OF things really. But let's hit the big ones: 1. Free rooms up to 5 nights per stay for almost ANY TIME you wanna stay, if you book directly and in advance. Sometimes you can even get suites or if you book a regular room during a slow season and you get there, inquire with a VIP check-in (you get this automatically with Diamond and above and some properties even do it for platinum). That right there is probably worth several hundred or maybe even a thousand, depending on season. Boom, your Founders card paid for itself in one 5 night trip or possibly less. This ALSO INCLUDES NO RESORT FEES, which are usually $35-45/night. I've stayed multiple trips of 2-5 nights for ABSOLUTELY FREE on the room itself.
      2. Free valet or self parking at ANY Caesar's Entertainment property. That's usually $12-15 for any time over 4 hours and up to 24.
      3. Ever get annoyed with waiting thru long buffet lines? Notice that Diamond/Seven Stars have their own line? Same with cashing out at the cages? Yup. Skip those lines, people!
      There are many more things exclusive to Diamond and above, but suffice it to say that it's easy to pay for your Founder's Card in savings with one trip. And again, that's JUST CAESAR'S. Founder's Card deals with over 100 other businesses to give discounts. In short, they're the single biggest Vegas hack I've ever run across. And it goes other places as well, obviously. Highly, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    Great video! I go to Vegas a couple times a year and you guys covered almost everything I do. A couple add ons to this video. 1. Ebay go to vegas4locals for really cheap show tickets and restaurant deals. 2. Anything you buy Food, Drinks, or a pack of gum give them your players card for points, or charge it to your room and have your players card linked to your room when you check in. I do gamble and get comp'ed rooms, but I charge anything I can to my room. When I check out they will usually will cover some, or all of my room charges on top of my free room.

    If your going to Vegas and want to go to the nightclubs or day pool parties go on Groupon and look for a club tour, these are promoters who will take you to about 3-5 clubs usually have complimentary drink or 2 for 1 and they will provide a party bus for transportation that usually serves free drinks. Most people are insanely stupid by trying to cram a visit from Friday night to Sunday morning. You pay the highest prices, get the worst rooms stand in line and your free drinks come so slowly that you likely gamble more than the price of a drink away. (I wrote that and then the tip came up in the video). People underestimate this advice too much. Save a couple of vacation days for it. Seriously. That said, 90% will ignore this.
    If you want a better deal, go on weekdays (Sunday-Thursday). Check Vegas.Com for any large conventions that week.
    Next, keep weird hours. Casinos are dead from 2AM through 10AM. The cocktail waitresses have little to do and will want to keep the tips average up. Late night specials at restaurants are available around town as well.

    • @DFDubsports
      @DFDubsports 5 років тому

      Bruce Kingfield its not that theyre stupid, they just probably only have weekends off and live near by (LA Phoenix, etc.)I live 2 hours away by plane and always stay from Friday to monday. I do this because i like clubbing on friday and saturday night. Then sight see on sunday and have a recovery day on mondays. Also the flights are cheaper mondays. But yes i do agree that people (if possible) should save up a vacation day or 2 in order to maximize their stay.

    Another way to save is look at what the resort fees covers. For example, we booked at the Tropicana and with the resort fee came a buy one, get one free drinks from their bar and comedy tickets at their comedy club, and we get two free bottles of water. Some hotels may offers perks just for booking with them.

    If you're going to a club and don't want to deal with trying to get in for free, and want to get in faster, go to the website for the club and buy entry before going. Mgm, Ceasars and whynn clubs all offer this. No need to look the part or wait in a crazy line and then hoping you get in with a tip, you wait in line and get right in. Better yet, if you were going to buy drinks anyways, mgm offers a vip entry with 100 bar card for just over $100. It's essentially $100 for the $100 bar card and I think it was an additional 15 ($115 total) to get in to see Aoki plus super fast vip entry (completely separate entrance and line) plus the bar card. Essentially cheap to free to get in, and get in faster.

    Most I ever payed for a car rental was in Las Vegas. $212.00 for 2 days rental. First mistake was booking it on Expedia. Expedia got their money from me & the car rental company took out the biggest chunk. Both pointed fingers at the other when I complained about the bill but neither would budge. I'll never do like that again.
    Generally the more touristy of place is the more expensive it is to rent a car. Las Vegas, Phoenix, Florida, all very expensive to rent a car.
    Speaking of Florida (cheap transition--sure), I rented a car from a rental agency by Tampa Airport. I won't name it but I sure remember it. First off, they pre-charged $500 because I was using a debit card & not a credit card. Secondly, the "help" -- "associate" was hostile. Nope, I'm not making this up. Honestly if I had it back I would have cancelled on the spot, before they charged my debit card. Only problem is that in Tampa, the rental agencies aren't in the airport. You have to take a shuttle. So I would have had to take a shuttle back to the airport. (After waiting for it.) Waited for another shuttle & would have had to make a quick decision as to which company to book a rental with & hope they had a car & weren't going to charge me $500 off the top too. The facts were I had enough in my account to cover the rental but I think because I was using my own insurance they made that $500 charge. Also took a couple of days after the return to credit the account.

    You need to add in there how Caesars (Total Rewards) allows you to add a second card on your reservation thus the rates go down drastically and you have a way better chance of being comped. As long as that other persons card you are using is on the reservation. Went last week and the rates just linked to my play had a couple comped nights and a couple paid nights. When I added my girlfriends card to the reservation, were comped 4 nights at Caesars and 1 at Ballys. Made our stay nearly free minus resort fees.

The fountain show at Bellagio is free, and many other casinos have free shows. We hardly gamble at all and we wouldn't get any comps, but we still know where to find lots of freebies. Television City at the MGM will give you coupons for participating in test screenings.

      Some are open to the public for a fee, but generally no you can’t use other hotel pools because they require you to show/scan a room key.

    Is the Deuce double decker bus still operating on the strip? I found it to be a great value. It was $7 for 24 hours on the strip and to downtown Fremont experience. I think that would be cheaper than Uber/Lyft if you don't mind riding a bus.

    • @TangerineTravels
      @TangerineTravels  5 років тому +1

      We tried the Deuce and hated it! It wasted SO much of our time one day. We spent a long time waiting for it, then it took hours to get to the strip from Fremont St. Never again lol. It is cheaper than Uber/Lyft for the day but we’d personally prefer not to waste so much time

      We’ve seen a few in Vegas because we used rewards to see them free/discounted but we haven’t seen any yet in Mexico. There’s actually one pretty close to where we live in Puerto Morelos so we should look into it!

      If you want some tips for the apps like myvegas and wynn there's a wealth on information online if you google it. There are excellent Facebook groups for myvegas strategy, tips, and tricks. And there are some good forums for Wynn Slots (granted, there's not nearly as much info out there for Wynn since it's much newer).

    What about shopping? Clothing, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, swim suits, souvenirs, toys, ABC stores or liqour etc etc......
    Any tips or comps on shopping?

    • @TangerineTravels
      @TangerineTravels  5 років тому +1

      With the hotel's loyalty programs, you can sometimes get discounts at shops and convenience stores. Whenever we want snacks, water, gum, etc. though we try and find the nearest Walgreens or CVS because it's typically much cheaper there than in the hotel's stores. Unfortunately those are our only tips because neither of us are big shoppers. Hope it helps though!

    One thing you can do is play jacks or better at the bar tops, they require you to play x amount of coin in but the drinks are rapid fire, few years ago hit a royal flush downtown waiting for a morning bloody mary! $1,000 thank you very much rofl.

    Very awesome video wish I saw it before going to Vegas and of course now I find it after coming back home to Texas lol. Anyways I use to live in Vegas for 2 years and some of my family still does and has for years before I ever did lol anyways theirs a place where the buffet is $5.50 a person!!! But It’s not anywhere close to the strip in fact it’s not even in Vegas technically but about a 15 to maybe a 20 minute drive to Henderson theres a casino all by its self I think it was called something rock (not hard rock) casino and it’s on the way to Laughlin anyways $5.50 a person buffet over there. And this is currently as of the time of me posting this cause I just came back from Laughlin and we visited Vegas also and ate their on the way to and back from Vegas. anyways though if your driving your own vehicle it would probably be about an 1/8 of a tank from the strip and back yes it is a little drive and a bit out of the way but if you really want to get an all you can eat buffet for $5.50 a person and not pay the $15 a person price to stay on the strip then I’d say look into going there.

    Casinos are always being bought and sold. Also, casinos are reducing their comps. You are right that the machines don't guarantee a win. Free drinks, for many casinos your player card is tracked and you have to play a certain amount before you can get a free drink. So it's not free. There are cheaper places to eat on the strip. Casinos are expensive. Some buffets are 30 dollars or more. Strip bus passes can save you a lot of money. They are typically crowded. As you can tell , this couple really works at getting "free" things. So is it really "free". That depends. If you have free time then you can spend time earning comps. The biggest thing to remember is that every single game in Vegas has a built-in house advantage. In the long run, it is a mathematical certainty that you will loose. One casino manager told me once that they don't care how much you win. If you play long enough then you will lose it back and more. Also, remember there are a ton of scams in Las Vegas. Be careful. BTW: the shell games and three card Monty games you see on the sidewalks in Vegas are illegal and scams. These two are to be commented on the time and energy to travel and provide these videos but do your own homework.

    The MyVegas app must have really changed in the last couple of years, I hear all the vegas youtubers talking about it, and in the video you're level 165, with 400,000 reward points, i'm only a could of levels behind and only have 15,000 reward points. It seems like the speed of gaining the credits in order to get anything comp'd or cheap are much slower now
