Amazing! Do you have any guidelines on control wiring color codes? Here for the panel door all the cables were blue, with the earth being the exception (as it always should be green w yellow). Also, how did you cut the HMI cutout so nicely?
According to UL 508A, only grounds must be green. All other wire colors vary by region. Here is a video I did on different ways to cut square holes ua-cam.com/video/8rIHtrh4bb0/v-deo.html And another I did later about the square corners. ua-cam.com/video/_4ZsHXU_gNU/v-deo.html
Tim, could you please give me tips for the finishing of control panel door with bulk amount of cables? I have finished a panel’s door wiring. Don’t know I can share picture with you. Best regards.
Tim, I’ve drawn up my schematic for my CNC enclosure, every wire and component is laid out. I have a shrink tube wire labeler and I want to assign a number to each wire. Is there a standard I should follow? I plan on a prefix on the label to show what system it’s associated with but as far as the numbering, what tells me that this wire should be #001, 002 etc. or do I just assign them my own numbers? I do plan on keeping the final schematics in the enclosure since there is no way my brain could ever recall what goes where and I don’t want to run into my computer and get a copy.
At the bottom of the following link you will find a set of sample drawings. It will give you an idea of how I do it. The wire number lets you know what page and rung (or line) number that the wire originates on in the wiring diagram. Hope that helps. www.theautomationstore.com/rslogix-500-reading-wiring-diagrams-and-understanding-electrical-symbols/
I have been watching, great looking panels !
Thank you! 👍

This video that you are commenting in should be helpful. Just try to make the wires have the straightest lines possible.

Tim Wilborne Explains it! Thanks so much.
@@heeder777 You're welcome.
@@TimWilborne I couldn't find that URL and tried to manually find it to no avail. Is this still available?
Is there a written rule on going from Left to Right or bottom IN Top out from contacs and switches? Is it a written rule(NEC) standard practice?
No, I would say the most important thing is to stay consistent throughout your panels.
