Knn, SG durian all came from Malaysia segamat Johor, n they go to Johor to visit the plantation n eat durian in Johor, I agree is cheaper in JB than SG, but what they have there SG also have. Please put in more effort as to go to Indonesia to try some indo durian, or go to Thailand n intro the durian there...
les knn, Do u read what I post of course people know to preserve the freshness n of course cheap durian compare to SG, what I mean in the 1st post I say again. Do make effort to at least go down to pahang where the durian there is different same goes for durian in Indonesia n Thailand, introducing all this something new durian to the public at least they can know, taste or even compare which country durian is better, n do visit the plantation in pahang, Indonesia n Thailand, it will really worth the effort to durian. Pahang durians are among the best, but sadly the number of varieties are getting less these days due to commercialization of Musang King. I hope the state govt as well farm owners will do something to preserve these unique durian varieties for future generations, and not just Musang King.
The price variance from time to time depands on supply and demand, so its hard to tell an exact price. For example, Musang King is RM70/KG last year and now its RM25/KG.
not just demand and supply but it also depends on season. u can always get fair and cheaper prices during peak season from June to August. durians including MSW are abundant during those period
hi, I am planning our drive up from Singapore. Is It advisable to do so as a family trip? I googled the address and it does not look to me it is a durian farm?
This fruit is not only bad for the stomach ( I had diarrhoea for 3 days). it is also wrongly priced. Buyers have to buy the useless husk and all. By right, seller must open the fruit, and if the fruit is good the buyer must take it ( as it done now when selling) and the durians are then put into a clean plastic container ( which weighs nothing) and then the total weight is the weight the price is based on. That way is fair.. Otherwise, it is crazy to pay for useless durian husks.
So all i hear is either each durian is bitter or sweet, creamy or “abit” creamy, yellow or pale yellow, “i like it or i dont like it”. There is more to durian than the taste which honestly, everyone already knows. Instead educate us on how to tell from each durian, how are they being loaded(timing?), picking and collecting, how to cut open, growing one. It’s a vlog not a damn taste(?) test with vague like some review my 7year old brother gives

why does it seem like those name are created by the owner themself.. seems like every farm has their own name for certain durian.
yes they do give names to their own durians in order to recognize different varieties and for marketing purposes as well.

Good breeds of MSW durian have really small seeds the ones that looks dehydrated, not sure why the one shown here have seeds comparable to a D24
