I was very surprised that the video was THAT informative. Seriously, this is the video where I took a pen and paper and took notes. It's amazing to be able to get this information for free, because in a single video, realistic information that isn't available in many Etsy courses I've invested dollars in. Thanks a lot for your hard work!

I have been on Etsy for only 2 years. First-year did about $30,000... This year just under $100,000. I never knew that there were Alt tags for images. That is crazy. Something so simple I missed all this time until I saw your video. Learned a lot with this video... going to create a new (3rd) shop... I will be putting this to work to see what happens... and will advise. Thanks for taking the time to put out your videos. They are helping sellers new and seasoned.

@@DameHoracia I wonder the same thing! I have an Etsy shop for 2 yrs now. And I researched about SEO and use Pinterest & social media and my annual income is only $1,500! That to me is realistic for someone like who’s clueless about running a shop on Etsy. Anyone who succeeds right away have either one of the following: experience in digital marketing, has a marketing or business background, or social media savy! You must be knowledgeable one way or another! Cuz man it is hard to grow your shop! 😩

Thanks so much, I was getting a little discouraged watching videos from people telling the negatives about Etsy. How foolish of me to watch more than one of those videos as someone about to start up. You have mentioned a couple things like: video, product in use, it's normal to not sell anything in the first weeks, don't use etsy adds, don't make more than 20 of one item to begin with. These things really made some lightbulbs go off and/ or put my mind at ease. Thank you! Subscribed!

I've started publishing on January 1st every day my digital products and, as you said, it's hard work. I started to be disappointed because I don't have a lot of traffic yet, but you're right. I have to be patient and keep publishing. (I'm just brand new!!)
I have about 30 more products ready to publish, but you're right, I have to see what is working to know what to design. So I will lower a little bit on designing and keep more time on Etsy watching, observing and researching.
I found your videos logical, practical and most of all, very useful. Thanks a lot!

I follow your channel for a while now. It seems that I came across you a little bit late. I opened my photographic store in October last year. In my first phase (without any previous knowledge) I put bit over 100 item to my physical wall print shop. At the beginning I use a lot SM too. Since the moment I found you channel I change completely strategy and also store design. First I decided to split my shop into to sections physical print and digital one. Than I stopped SM and started to focus on SEO, general design and one day new listing formula. In October I had around 160 visits to my shop, next month in Noviembre i reached almost 190, in December I hit over 320 and I sold two digital files in Xmas time. January started again bit slowly, 81 visits so far, so 8 visits per day roughly. I am not in rush with my store, I know that product I sell is very personal and definitely not high demand. I will keep with one day listing strategy until I reach 220 item in my store so, few more days and than I want list one photo each second or third day to keep regular routine going. I am not sure if my statistic numbers are correct or if I do everything right, but I try follow you advice. Big thanks for sharing your experience with us.

I'd also add that you should 10000% consider growing your social media presence. I started my shop selling stickers at the beginning of this month (July 2023). I've already made 100 sales, over $500. I started a tiktok where I post videos of my stickers(not even good videos, they aren't very aesthetic, I have room to improve there), but 62% of my traffic comes from social media. I wouldn't have a fraction of the sales I got if it weren't for tiktok!

Hi! I’m coming back to this video after starting my Etsy store just over 3 months ago. Your tips are definitely so solid! I just hit 34 sales, a little under $2000 in net profit this month and I have about 110 listings in my shop right now .Can you PLEASE do a video on how to scale new stores to bringing in a full time income? My goal is to get this store to 8-10k in monthly in revenue within the next 6 months. I know it’s possible because my competition is doing that plus more. Do you suggest I keep listing ? The stores in my niche that are bringing in the big bucks have about 300 listings so that’s the goal for me . Pleas make a video about this

    Hi!
First of all great amazing videos, you cover here so much stuff I didn't see anywhere else, amazing.
Second, not sure about the turning off the offsite ads. You have to pay a cut for those ads, but if you make a sale out of them it's most likely a sale you wouldn't get otherwise, so why not leave these on?

Quick question: I want to deactivate some listings that may be confusing the algorithm. Will my score plummet? I was thinking of deactivating 3 a day. (19 total). Paying a smaller amount more in commission but getting more sales is better, no? My products are all digital so it costs me no more for each sale (which would be a factor for others), but I'm making more sales and therefore more profit by having off site ads. I don't believe those people would have necessarily then found my Etsy shop searching on Google without them @@etsyconsultant

Hi there, thanks for your comment. If you haven't already I recommend that you watch my video on selling 'one of a kind items on Etsy'. With regards to how many to make it's fine to have one item made, however, I recommend that the stock is listed as at least 20.

    Hi,
Thank you for sharing useful tips, I will follow them for sure.
I am a new etsy seller, opened up the store in beginning of November . I need to learn about shipping.
The item I am selling is handmade and each one weighs between 400-600 grams. My concern is if the buyer purchase more than one item from my store, is there an option to add dimensions and weight at the end to calculate shipping.
Each piece is so unique, so I couldn't list them together.
I feel it's not fair to charge shipping for each item separately if the destination address is one.
How can we work around this issue
    Regards 😊

    • @etsyconsultant
      @etsyconsultant  9 місяців тому

Hi, you will have to look at your shipping service to work out the charges.
Sometimes there is no exact way to do it, and you have to estimate.
