- I pared down my pedalboard for the last round of touring we did. I’m in constant battle with having my pedalboard be easy to use and quick to change sounds. I love using a switcher for that reason but what often comes with the switcher (this is more a me thing than a switcher thing) is that I always get carried away with the programming and before I know it, I’m having the pedalboard make decisions instead of me. This board is yet another attempt to sneak back some spontaneity!
As always, it has not remained the same and I have new dreams/desires for the next pedalboard iteration. BUT, first, I have ventured into the mysterious universe of amp-building - say whaaaa?! Having fun over here in Gadget, Gadget, Gadget land. Also, if you didn’t know, Anna and I have a baby coming in the next few weeks, so while I won’t be preparing a pedalboard for tour anytime soon, I surely will be tinkering with amps in the basement 🤓.
Anna's narrations on these videos always make me smile. Joey is still responsible for the SD-9 deep dive I went on. Keep on Gadgeting.

1) Congrats on the imminent new Landreth. I'm sure Joey knows the joy that having a sibling close in age can bring.
2) I have a dual loop selector I'm not using, with the magic ingredient of order-flipper switch, for instant reconfiguration of a pedalboard without having to repatch anything. Simple, compact, and always useful. It's yours if you want it. Just let me know, and I'll pop it in a box to ya. Vibe-into-drive OR drive-into-vibe at the flick of a toggle.

Gotta love a pedalboard reset, I do this at least every 2 years, sometimes going all the way down to just my amps (Two-Rock and PRS Dumble-esque amps with overdrive channels). Then I slowly add pedals over the course of a year or two until I have too many and have to reset again. 😀 The best part is when I sell a bunch of pedals and buy some sort of high end amp or guitar, the slow upgrade treadmill.
I know that one… mine all turn into studio gear

Nice board! Like many others, I've ended up with a bunch of extra pedals with nowhere to put them. What to do? Buy another board, of course! Heck, I bought the pedals because I wanted them and they're taking up space in the cabinet that could be used for other things. The new board showed up Saturday, so now I have the pleasure of deciding what goes where and how. Joey, I hope whatever is/was ailing you is gone in short order. Find a quiet room and play through your feelings. Be well.
Another brilliant video thanks Joey and Anna, its funny how we all keep adding pedals and options trying to recapture/reignite the puure musicall fun of just plugging in a decent amp and trugint it up! I'm especially guilty of this so thanks for the reminder to keep it simple and re-focus on the guitar playing Joe! Hope all you lovely people are keeping well in Bros land.
I built a brownface deluxe with some help from Ron at Cutthroat Audio and it sounds amazing… the next video will be featuring that thing I think!

Let me put it this way.. he feels like I felt as I was on my way to cologne to see joey and the the band from Frankfurt and missed it due to traffic jam. I will allways regret it because of the special Acoustic Quartet . Ok Joey let me see the show again soon in Germany or Europe and put some more dates after your Denmark Gig in Europe. I thought this was going to be a Sad Boi pedal board (which is a pop-punk adjacent genre) and got excited. Turns out this is more of a Nashville Blues Lawyer sound (odds are you probably brew or have brewed your own beer at some point). Disappointed in that regards but enjoyed anyways. Great tones.
No home brew, but would like to get shirts made that say "Nashville Blues Lawyer".

Ever try a swart space tone tremolo? That can get pretty nasty tweed sounds. Little guy at 5 watts !! Cool new board, hopefully see ya back in calgary soon

I visited Paul at Stereobus recently and poked my head into the workshop when he was giving me a tour. I could tell at a glance that you have put a lot of work into your setup! And based on this vid and what I heard at your show at the Burt, it sounds like that hard work paid off. Your tones are always super tasty!
