Oh, internal mag extension; and here I was scratching my head trying to theorize a way to integrate the back end of a red Zeus into the front end of a red Kronos.
The 'Nerferdom-Community' has made the Rival Kronos into an icon that every modder needs to have a few examples of in order to have a version for every occasion. Great work Sir.
Loved the build, was surprised you decided to shotgun a limited edition Deadpool blaster, mainly because I will probably never be able to get my hands on a pair in the UK. They're your blasters and you do as you please, and you have. Well done sir.
Dear Captain, Have you considered painting the tube with a translucent (smokey) black? This way it could tie the overall aesthetics together while keeping the functionality intact.
Love the build, but I was one that was shocked you did it to the deadpool blaster (for the exact reason you said, it’s a limited edition one). Personally, I would have waited for the normal ones to come out, but that’s me. It’s your nerf blaster, you do what you want with it! Great job!
If I had your skills I would have a spring in front of the twelve round magazine so that it constantly presses against the internal storage without leaving a nail sticking out. Yours is just amazing though.
Hey Cap. Don't know if you know this or not but the rods that hold the roof onto one of the older little tikes cars (I beleive pre 1998) actually makes a Perfect barrel for Mega darts. I made the barrel for a mega flinging Marchmallow Blaster.
I recognised your chanting song, all you need is a blank of wood to hit yourself with to pray off the plague ( the holy grail is a funny movie) Great build video!
Hey brother. I wish I could get hands on a Crimson Longshot for a Firefly Integration.! It's your freaking blaster. Mod if you want. There are a hundreds of thousands of Deadpool blasters left out there. People were buying those 10 and 20 pairs at a time from the store, let alone online sales of those blasters. And I've heard from friends that have them and said they didn't perform as well out of the box as other Kronos blasters did.
I reckon do the half-n-half magazine, or go full tactics and paint the whole thing, then drill witness holes in the mag so a ball sits on each witness hole
Captain If you do answer this question I thank you very much and I wish you a great thanksgiving if you celebrate it if not, have a great day in general. I really like this build, and it has inspired me to make a similar vision but with my total capacity at 12 rounds because having a characters, age as your ammo count is neat, at least, in my opinion. I was wondering what would be easier for a newer moder, doing it the way you did it using an eight round magazine or having a 12 round magazine instead of the base internal magazine the 12 round would be facing downward. I would like to match with a revolver style blaster in terms of length. The capacity of that one will be nine darts because it’s an ultra two with a conversion kit.
Wouldnt be easier to put a pvc pipe as a the magazine and attach a spring to the end , u can attach it to the gun internal mag same way and it would be smoother not catch on the priming handle(all though u can make some notches to push it back and fourth) , and u can get black/orange pvc and also u can make it how long u can (u can reuse the pusher thing in the original gun as the pusher in the makeshift mag. (since u are just extending the bent mag.)
Here’s what I think you should do. When the phantom corps one comes out, do the same thing as you did to this one then paint it black and orange. Maybe?
How big a Extended Barrel was used? Did this affect the Hop Up? Was the gas reg still used? Conceptually the idea design moves the hop up forward such that it has about the same amount of barrel in front of it as before I suspect, or similar, given the hopup kinematics. Some utility might come from the barrel length if the gas reg is gone, if not likely none, pure velocity cost. Is the barrel a fake shroud or a real barrel(a shroud would effect accuracy and hop up less). Hop up improves range and accuracy as a certain type of lift counteracts drop slightly(same thing that causes it to hook up when they start chono'ing at 135 hop up projectile velocity are both higher and are now exceeding projectile weight forces...(so accuracy fix for Kronos pistols with K26 and no gas reg would be to reduce the hop up a bit), Here the barrel is doing that by slowing both the projectile and its spin so not only is it going slower but it is hanging for less time(falling faster, because the combined redirected air down is going slower(due to less spin and less linear velocity...). I recommend moving the hop up forward if your gonna keep a snug barrel and maxing air flow. If you moe to shroud and get it to act like K26 unrestricted Kronos again, then softening the hop up would probably apply, I plan to test these on my Kronos pistol build and eventual shotgun build, so thought I'd see what you did barrel wise as its still a curiosity point for me.
I think it's super cool. You didn't really destroy the aesthetic. If you had painted over the whole thing or chopped it up unmerciful, then yeah... I'd be leading the band of angry villagers with pitchforks and torches.
Cap one of mine came in under the other one as well one was shooting around 100 average one shooting around 80 average. I think it's the same one as the one u were having sub par with
i was also thinking it was sort of wasteful to modify a limited edition blaster. however, it does suit you to build a shotgun out of it. so no heresy yelling from me. plus, deadpool would probably like it as well
Thanks for the step-by-step. I left this comment in the previous video of this blaster; I just thought I'd leave it here too. How about adding the stock to the bottom of the grip a la "Megatron" pistol alternate mode in Transformers G1? Add a scope to the top, you already have the muzzle break (maybe drill holes in it for aesthetics?), and voila, a Nerf Megatron Alt. Mode (but it doesn't transform) pistol/shotgun/sniper rifle. Come to think of it, the upcoming Nerf Zombie Strike Scavenger, though a lever action primer, is already sporting the grip stock and scope; but it's not a pump action, which can reduce the rate of fire. If you do decide to paint the magazine, paint it black so it won't be too distracting and broken up with your color scheme, and leave enough clear "window" that you can see three rounds if you want to off before you ran out. As for me, I'd just use a tint of orange to keep the translucency of the clear plastic to avoid over loading and the all clear to me brakes up the aesthetics too much with your color scheme. Just a thought. Awesome work as always. Thanks. -ArTchN
I lean towards the "HERESY!" camp, but mainly because you used the only available genuine Rival secondary blaster to make a lower-capacity version of the Artemis. Still appreciate it from an engineering perspective! I wonder if you could improve the accuracy by installing a hop-up device nearer the muzzle?
I tried some of the cheaper Rival ammo a few months back; turned out it was under-sized. Depending on the spring tension behind it (ie: how full the mag was), you'd get anywhere between 1 - 4 rounds out per shot! Hilarious! Seriously though, I believe deliberate double-priming is possible if you remove the Artemis' locks. It certainly happens accidentally after a dry fire.
Any chance we could get a specific parts list breakdown? Like, what size PVC you used for the barrel, coupler, screws. You screwed partially into the piping to affix the aluminum rods and the recon(?) slide for the pump handle right? Is that secure enough? I can't tell how the piping is. How'd you achieve such a good bend on the aluminum bars? If you secured spacers on the side could you avoid bending the rods? How far does the internal magazine move? Could you contain the entire movement within the space of the priming handle if you used a shorter magazine (like the 7rd-er)? Obvs you could use the priming handle to space it like you do the L bracket since the prime goes further than the magazine...but the if the difference is less than the size of the handle than maybe you could by adjusting where the priming rod is attached...hmm.... Can you tell I want to do this yet? haha.
If you have not already, watch the video on my Magnus Shotgun build. I used basically all the same materials and techniques and I think I cover them more in that video. Yes, I screwed into the Recon slide and pipe to hold the bars. They have not broken yet so...they must be pretty secure. I bent the bars using a hammer and an anvil and skill. Yes, spacers would eliminate the need for bends...but would not look as svelte. The mag moves about 1.5 inches?
How wide are the grips side by side or how much of the grip could you file away on the outside without compromising internals? Take 2 Kronos side by side and do your shotty build but instead use two 7 round mags to make a double barreled sawed of shotty build instead. So how much of the grips could be filed away? looking at stills it seems roughly 60% of the grip is deadspace or atleast everything below the trigger.
For some reason the magazine being flat-side-down bothers me, haha. I assuming it’d be no trouble to flip it to make it flat-side-up? Or is there something with the magazine that makes that not work?
+Captain Xavier I am not sure what you are asking? Do you want me to vary the music...or are you wanting me to do a musical? I have not done musical theatre since High School...
Could you build one of these with a 7 round mag, rather than the full 12? I'm envisioning a very short, compact hvz secondary, in line with a Mossberg 590
If you left the connection of the slide to internal magazine, you could avoid the external aluminum as long as the pump grip was firmly attached to the magazine
Not sure if you'll read this cause older video, but have you been able to figure out yet why the stick performance on your Kronos was so low yet? I have a pair waiting back home for me and I wanna prepare myself if I need to pop them open in about 2 weeks.
Got a PC Kronos and it had inconsistent performance. I haven't fixed it yet, but I think I found the problem. The o-ring that seals the plunger tube to the breech is extremely floppy. It's either too big or it is deformed. I don't have another to compare. Anyone know the correct size/specs for this o-ring?
I'm not sure as I haven't looked at it closely but the fact is he didn't design it that way, it's how it came. I assume Hasbro had to make it that way in order to keep it so compact? Seems to me they could have just made the blaster shorter overall and had the magazine fixed. Also, is your name a reference to the Advance Wars character?
+Captain Xavier I did it on a white Kronos. I initially took too my material at first (just wanted it to comfortably hold the 6. I had to go back in and do some grinding with a Dremel to get it working smoothly. it was hanging on the 2nd shot.
+Virginia Death I bought a set of Deadpool Kronos, and I'm kind of on the fence about it. part of me just says "buy some speed loaders, and fugg it..."
You should add deadpool-like comments on your part of the blaster( the part you have build) to make it look even deadpoolish... yeah dewdpoolish ain't a real word.
Oh, internal mag extension; and here I was scratching my head trying to theorize a way to integrate the back end of a red Zeus into the front end of a red Kronos.
The bolt at the front is so simple yet elegant! I strangely really enjoy it:)
You have a unique twist to modding. Very clear
The 'Nerferdom-Community' has made the Rival Kronos into an icon that every modder needs to have a few examples of in order to have a version for every occasion. Great work Sir.
Love it, Nice to see the Worlds first Deadpool Shotgun and very cool magazine tube slippage solution!
Loved the build, was surprised you decided to shotgun a limited edition Deadpool blaster, mainly because I will probably never be able to get my hands on a pair in the UK.
They're your blasters and you do as you please, and you have. Well done sir.
Dear Captain,
Have you considered painting the tube with a translucent (smokey) black? This way it could tie the overall aesthetics together while keeping the functionality intact.
Just picked these up, and already planning on doing this to one of them. Awesome work.
I only came for captain’s singing
Same
Really nice build. If you widen the barrels and move hopup to near the end, you should get more power and more accuracy
Love the build, but I was one that was shocked you did it to the deadpool blaster (for the exact reason you said, it’s a limited edition one). Personally, I would have waited for the normal ones to come out, but that’s me. It’s your nerf blaster, you do what you want with it!

Triple upload today Cap? Sweet!

Great build video!
i was gunna say *holy grail intenfies*
6:00 welcome to Seattle where there are sirens literately every day
"digging in shell bins for parts. the glorious life of a modder..." *Police sirens in the background*
+Tripp Miller they were never able to prove a thing!
Captain Xavier I wish i was creative... Those lines alone would be a great basis for a story of some kind.
@@CaptainXavier I know I'm late but cop sirens went by just as they did in your vid, I paused it and they kept going.
Hears you singing me its a monty python holy grail reference ,at this point i ceremonially smaked my head
Can't wait to see what you do with the Slingfire for your wild west load out. Great work on the video, thumbs up.
I can definitely see myself attempting this one when the standard versions release
Hey brother. I wish I could get hands on a Crimson Longshot for a Firefly Integration.! It's your freaking blaster. Mod if you want. I love the fact that the music of your soul is basically just Gregorian Chant.
That is a genius way of sorting out the disappointing capacity of this thing. must take an eternity to load it from empty though.
You are a nerf modding genius.
I feel that this would be a good HvZ blaster. Especially for a light weight run and gun load out. Just need a pouch of balls and maybe a side arm.
Captain could you build a mortar
He kindda did... he csn add a bypod to his bazooka and tada a mortar..
A small youtuber called shadow duelist actually made an awesome Nerf mortar
I reckon do the half-n-half magazine, or go full tactics and paint the whole thing, then drill witness holes in the mag so a ball sits on each witness hole
+Sen Kanashimi ooooh, I like the witness hole idea...I could do it by putting sticky dots on the tube before painting too.
I'm thinking I should turn the Kronos I'm working on into one of these. I'm just doing paint for now, but a shotgun would be cool.
Captain If you do answer this question I thank you very much and I wish you a great thanksgiving if you celebrate it if not, have a great day in general. So many uploads I love it
Some of them were already primed before I unbox it ,maybe that's why the reading is slower
Here’s what I think you should do. When the phantom corps one comes out, do the same thing as you did to this one then paint it black and orange. Maybe?
+Jayden Edwards that is the plan
i would've coverd the 12 round mag with the lower pvc pipe so that it can slide freely and it still looks like it isn't

Thanks for the step-by-step. I left this comment in the previous video of this blaster; I just thought I'd leave it here too. i think that that would cause great inconsistency because the ballz can bounce around in the long barrel and come out different ways.
+rude_mech the Artemis cannot fire 2 balls at once...as far as I know. And they come in pairs...so I still have one.
I tried some of the cheaper Rival ammo a few months back; turned out it was under-sized. Depending on the spring tension behind it (ie: how full the mag was), you'd get anywhere between 1 - 4 rounds out per shot! Hilarious!

Dude, that is really cool. If you sold this, and I had money, I would buy
Same.
The piece in a magazine that pushes the ammuition is referred to as a "follower" strangely enough.
+EDSKaR THATS THE WORD! Thank you! I have been trying to think of it for days! It has been driving me nuts! I KNEW pusher was wrong.
Although, given how magazines work, "pusher" would be a more appropriate word than "follower".
Any chance we could get a specific parts list breakdown? Like, what size PVC you used for the barrel, coupler, screws. Maybe make the magus fire rival balls
HOW DARE YOU DO SOMETHING TO YOUR OWN BLASTER!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHG!!!!!!!!!
That looks cool!
I still want one
Is there a detailed guide on how to do this mod? Can't really get much out of time-lapsed footage unfortunately.
I want to make this with regular Kronos with intergrated shoulder stock, brass breech and slide return mod
If you figure out the stock let me know.
love your singing voice at 6:25 Captain

I don't believe it will line up with the internals and the follower will not fit...but feel free to prove me wrong.
Orange Bolt, Black Lower Half Of Tube?
Great work. I now want one. Why you do this to me!
Can we have captain varier the musical? Please
+CRYSTAL SNIPER2000 "varier the musical"?
Yes please
+Captain Xavier I am not sure what you are asking? Do you want me to vary the music...or are you wanting me to do a musical? I have not done musical theatre since High School...
I don't know just please sing while making a Nerf mod
Is the hop up unit still in the blaster? That could be the reason it’s power is sub-par
No
Could u do a mod on the nemesis and make it your own custom tati-kool blaster?
I could...but I don't own one...
Captain Xavier, there pretty much available anywhere.
yes...but they cost $100 (give or take depending on the store)
this will be my goto guide if I mod one of these.
Could you build one of these with a 7 round mag, rather than the full 12? I'm envisioning a very short, compact hvz secondary, in line with a Mossberg 590
Probably?
Captain Xavier Fair enough. Will need to do measurements.
check the breach o-ring?
If you left the connection of the slide to internal magazine, you could avoid the external aluminum as long as the pump grip was firmly attached to the magazine
+Talk Time no you could not. The internal mag does not slide as far back as the slide so just pushing it will not prime the blaster.
also, which cobra
Not sure if you'll read this cause older video, but have you been able to figure out yet why the stick performance on your Kronos was so low yet? I have a pair waiting back home for me and I wanna prepare myself if I need to pop them open in about 2 weeks.
+thehollowlingwin I have not yet. I need to open it up again and tinker with it.
Captain Xavier Good to know and good luck on finding the culprit when you have the chance 👍
Got a PC Kronos and it had inconsistent performance. I haven't fixed it yet, but I think I found the problem.
The o-ring that seals the plunger tube to the breech is extremely floppy. It's either too big or it is deformed. I don't have another to compare.
Anyone know the correct size/specs for this o-ring?
man, i would probably commission one of this to you if i were of the USA, it looks pretty neat
This gun reminds me of the 10mm pistol from the Fallout series, could you paint/mod one
Can the Worker Prophecy take a K26?
This one of the magnus
Hello there
out of interest how much would one pay for a commission of one of these? i probably cant afford it but i would like to know
We never got to see you loading the blaster :/
in the first video on this he did
+Bastian Nyström I showed that in tue first video about it.
Captain Xavier Ohh... I think I missed that video, Thanks!
What kind of screws did you use on the pvc pipes, including the screw at the end? Thank you.
Just Nerf screws. The bolt at the end is something else entirely. It is just a lag bolt with a shaft the same length as the movement of the magazine.
soo kewl
Captain, where did you find those aluminum rods? And also what pump grip is that?
Home Depot, and it is a Recon slide.
Can I do this without a pump action
I have no idea. I do not know your skills. You can try it.
What's the diameter of the PVC pipe cap'n?
1 in
Are you going to paint that in gear-up color scheme
+Commander 760 nope. I am team Red Rival. I will paint a white one next year.
What is the point of the sliding mech?
+LightningEagle14 can you be more specific? Lots of parts of this slide...
Like why the internal mag slides
I'm not sure as I haven't looked at it closely but the fact is he didn't design it that way, it's how it came. I assume Hasbro had to make it that way in order to keep it so compact? Seems to me they could have just made the blaster shorter overall and had the magazine fixed.
Also, is your name a reference to the Advance Wars character?
Raedien I see. And no, my name is not a reference to that.
What size PVC
1in
How did you mate the 2 magazines?
With glue
hey cap, what do you think about just doin the 6th shot mod? yay or nay?
I see nothing wrong with it. I have not gotten around to doing it on mime yet.
+Virginia Death I sent you a pic of the tops of my kronoses on Facebook, that I sent Zach from naptown today.
You should add deadpool-like comments on your part of the blaster( the part you have build) to make it look even deadpoolish... yeah dewdpoolish ain't a real word.
BTW your alley is dope
+Savagemastersugwbsb 2600 there actually was dope in it...and lots of hobo trash...
Does the Kronos have slam fire?
+KJ13l no
Hi
Was he just singing the hallo theme song
That was the chant from Monty Python and the Holy Grail
+JiveBrute9 1 it is an old gregorian chant...
Tis it sounded like the Monty Python chant, sounds just like it
Will my kitten mia take a k26
+viperprin please stop asking this on every video I post.
k just wondering
6:30 - …dona eis requiem.
You should go on the voice
11-10 singing/humming🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶
Would you build me one (I have a white Kronos)
I love ur modz
Think it's cool mate like one my self
did you get the performance up?
Not yet
You typed 12rd instead of 12th at 5:01 in the text
Mario Najera he did it to indicate that it was a 12 round mag
Captain Xavier you already did this there was a video on it when it was finished
nerfing gecko 117789 Yes, and in that video he said that he would put up the build video for it
nerfing gecko 117789 it didn't have firing, this is a reupload
+nerfing gecko 117789 you know, if you actually watch the videos before commenting you might be able to avoid looking foolish...worth a try anyway. :P
I thought it was a reupload as well. thumbnail is nearly identical lol.
@hi hi - 8:48 - what was that you said?
I recently made a "rocket launcher" out of an old Rayven shell and wanted to know what you think, the videos are on my channel
if you were to sell this...
