He comes across as a very uninformed biographer for The Queen. Just speculating on future actions based on press video and photography. Yes, Peter Phillips is wonderful. Zara has a solidly sound mind with a wonderful personality, like her mom, she wouldn’t take any garbage if the press tried to throw any her way + I’m pretty sure her hubby Mike would sort them out in no time flat - in the nicest of ways of course 😂 Lady Louise is an absolute delightful young lady. She needs her time at Uni first, to have a chance to develop more as a young adult, find her own voice whilst also pursuing her chosen interests such as carriage driving and art. Id love it if William and Catherine have the continued support of Edward and Sophie, which I can’t imagine they wouldn’t, but it would be great to have Peter and Zara step up to help them out too. Then if in time Louise took on some duties, and eventually James, so that by the time Charlotte and George and Louis step up, they’d have the support of their young second cousins - Louise and James to show them ropes and be an older support for them, in the same way that Edward and Sophie are to William and Catherine

Andrew Morton referring to the Markle's as the unofficial King and Queen of California just lost my confidence in him as a factual insider of royal activity and a book sale. The Markle's are immensely unpopular globally - even the Markle's themselves are becoming aware of this hence their attempts to back pedal on their book and documentary. They are not remotely Americanised, (or even British any more), royalty in any way, shape or form. They are just two bitter, angry, spiteful people trying to make their bitterness pay - literally - at any cost to their families.
As the son of a reigning monarch, Harry is a bloodborne Prince of the most prominent and prestigious royal families in the world. Therefore, he is indeed royal. Since Meghan is his wife, that makes her royal as well. You may not like him, but he is indeed a Prince and in the line of succession.

The sovereign grant is paid for by the crown estates not the tax payer. Moreover the British Monarchy earns untold tourist dollars for the British economy.
The distinction of the crown estates. the duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall etc, and the tax payer is a very fine line in my opinion. No monarchy then the crown estates would revert back to benefit of the tax payers. I certainly consider it public money.

As an American, the monarchy in the UK seems so very outdated and a huge waste of tax payers' money. What a waste of time and money to spend hours upon hours cutting ribbons, shaking the hands of the citizens, etc. (I'm sure I just offended a bunch of people)!

The Sovereign Grant is not taxpayer money. It is a part of the revenue of the Crown Estate (the King's property) being returned. The rest goes to the Treasury. Effectively the most taxed in England.
You can explain it thousands of times to the royal haters / republicans and they still won’t listen.

It ensures he is self-sustaining without imposition on the tax payer beyond security. The rest of the revenue is given to the general revenue with taxes essentially. He is pretty much taxed more than anyone else.

Given that in Andrew Mortons opinion they are the King and Queen of California they will not need titles and the line of succession from the British RF. Morton's remark that H and M are the King and Queen of California is ridiculous! I never heard of Meghan until she was engaged to Harry. No one that I know mentions them in conversation. Some people, like Oprah, were initially impressed by Royalty but I suspect that even she has revised her opinion by now.
I live in Los Angeles and to say those 2 are the king and Queen of California is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, the only thing these 2 are the king and queen of is the talk show circuits..they can make a quick buck that way.
Charles first biggest mistake was to choose Camilla over Diana. Rest of the mistakes he's making now which will eventually make Royal uninteresting and irrelevant.
This presenter forgot to mention that in return for the sovereign grant the elected government has control of the crown estate.
Seems they are looking for another home in Ca. Perhaps the neighbors have had enough of them too. Seems they are not California royals after all.

Like Camilla or not, one thing has stood the test of time and that is the love she and Charles has for each other. Camilla wasn't considered royal enough to bare the future generation of the monarchy, so Charles chose a wife that was. That does not change his heart's desire. Diana got the raw end of the deal by entering a marriage that was never going to be a loving one, but Charles and Camilla were forced to give up their time for the children to manifest. The monarchy has changed now where William and Harry have chosen the women they loved instead what was best for the royal offspring. Camilla will be to Charles what Philip was to Her Majesty the Queen. They just had sacrifice more for it. Long live the King and Queen Consort!

The only reason why the crown is on Charle's head now is because his great uncle gave up the crown so he can marry the love of his life. Why didn't Charles do the same? It's so unfair and cruel that he married Lady Diana knowing he didn't love her and had no intention of of stopping his liaison with the Rottweiler.
Sounds very sweet until you realize Charles had other mistresses and he and Camilla don't even like together now.

My father and I both have an abnormal obsession for nice pens. When King Charles reacted like that I totally related. I would have been furious. I also don't like getting my hands filthy when I cook so I cannot imagine how he felt.

I used to work for a company who received thousands of cheques everyday. So many that the bank had their employees on our premises. And a huge number especially in January had the wrong date on them.

Harry and Megan don't behave like Royals. All this hand holding, especially during the funeral is unacceptable for monarchy. They behave like celebrities so leave them go and live like celebrities with their young family. Royalty and celebrity do no mix. One or the other. They need to accept They can't have both. They can have a relationship with family if they want but quietly behind closed doors and never publicly
