lookism is a great manhwa for anyone who is self-conscious about themselves and self-improvement with tons of actual arcs, drama, action, and self reflection. a comic where bad guy is not always bad guy, just a different half to the whole story. theres tons of chapters and even then binging it with skipping has more than enough to satisfy multiple prefrences at one point theres even crossovers of other manhwa comics tying into canon so youll enjoy the twists of their story that once had nothing to do with each other and was thought to be just another story. its like if you made supernatural action shows brought into a slice of life and then told you that chaos alone made a korean drama show with and then just kept adding other shows to make a multiverse traveler fanficion to fit that base world and its laws of reason.
unfortunatelyh the rest wont get animated for a long time bc the beginning is a bit corny but once the gang warfare starts then it will get more attention

I actually really like this adaptation. A big problem I had with the comic is the characters always looked too similar to me. I kept getting confused and am embarrassed to say that I though that two girls in the story were the same person for a while Edit: Some people are getting bent outta shape cuz I'm saying this BUT FROM THE COMMENTS YOU CAN SEE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD ISSUES WITH IT.
I relate so much to this show. I was bullied for being fat and ugly in middle school then i bloomed in college. I realized that people really treat you differently when you look attractive. You will have to accept this reality and fact that good looking people have an easier time interacting with people but it has additional cons along with it. Random people will tell me that I look like a celebrity and that I should go pursue it but I do not want my career nor my life be focused on HOW I LOOK because this is all temporary. I also have issues with trusting my SO that he may only love me because im pretty. I must say that I always strive to be genuine and authentic. Im not active on social media as I am not used to the attention and the attention you get is so shallow. I want someone to love me for what i do and what I look like because Ill get old and ugly. Im also very kind to women and men who i can see are insecure with the way they look and I always convince them to try to workout and eat healthy as a start. I actually spiraled up. I started losing weight, then I started looking good. I started becoming confident not only with my looks but with school work too. I graduated with honors in college. To those who are currently "ugly". Eat healthy. Workout and everything else will fall into place because you learn discipline and you will gain confidence in everything.
Exactly. People are shallow in nature and if you want to be viewed in a more positive light, you need to make yourself more attractive. It sucks, but that's reality. Skills can get you where you are, but to climb up, you need to improve yourself appearance wise.

I didn't think I would like this animated show, but two episodes in I was hooked. The story was interesting, amazing character development, and you want to know how the story concludes. It's kind of interest how teachers allow the show's extreme bullying to take place. They hardly ever notice anything.
A lot of Asian shows have extreme bullying or bullying and no support is portrayed by the plot, like in all of us are dead. America has mean girls and shoved into the lockers and stuff on TV but in these shows it's like they want to make people kill themselves.
I've read the webtoon or whatever the thing was called way back. It's great how can you not like it. Favourite character of mine was hated by most so only complaint there. Mostly girls reading and us boys have to deal with that. Watching the anime alone without any comment to give me blood pressure would be great.

I would imagine that when I fell asleep I would awake as a prince but in another dimension, and so I had these 2 lives. So it was very cool to see this play out as a cartoon. I need to watch this anime, I've never been very invested with recaps before. Maybe just a watch then find the name and plot later, but I was invested from the first to the last minute. Then finding out it ends on a cliffhanger had me shout.

I was reading this while it was still a webtoon. I absolutely LOVE when webtoons become books or animes. It shows how much talent the artist has. I will admit that when i first read this webtoon the brutality of the bullying in Korean media shocked me. It was horrible and uncomfortable but made watching the MC grow rewarding
Honestly, more manhwa needs to get animated. There's Solo Leveling coming soon but I wouldn't mind Jungle Juice, Omniscient Reader or How to Fight being animated in the future.

It's a Chinese drama, park Solomon can speak Chinese. All the episodes are also available here in UA-cam. Shit was so addictive that I read 420 chapters in just 2 days Enjoyed every single bit of it and shit heavily inspired me to start my martial arts classes one again. yeah, but jiho is one of the best written characters in lookism. it's a shame he was killed off because the younger fans didn't like him and wanted more romance.
This anime was so hard to watch at first, I almost stopped it. Just the way he was bullied for his looks and then his mom sacrificed so much so he could move and have a fresh start was sad enough. But then he tries to make friends only to get bullied for being friendly 😭. I’m glad it turned out better at the end and hopefully the second season will come out soon!
read the webtoon, it's really good and tells you what happens next. i honestly really, REALLY enjoyed reading it, it contains a whole ton of twists and everything is connected. in recent chapters it descends into gang related stuff, but it's still super enjoyable. just a reminder that if you like romance this is NOT the webtoon for you, as there is close to zero on that genre.

I need to watch this anime, I've never been very invested with recaps before. Maybe just a watch then find the name and plot later, but I was invested from the first to the last minute. Then finding out it ends on a cliffhanger had me shout.

I was reading this while it was still a webtoon. I absolutely LOVE when webtoons become books or animes. It shows how much talent the artist has. I will admit that when i first read this webtoon the brutality of the bullying in Korean media shocked me. It was horrible and uncomfortable but made watching the MC grow rewarding
They should also make the boxer as a anime

Honestly, more manhwa needs to get animated. There's Solo Leveling coming soon but I wouldn't mind Jungle Juice, Omniscient Reader or How to Fight being animated in the future.

It's a Chinese drama, park Solomon can speak Chinese. All the episodes are also available here in UA-cam. (park Solomon for those who don't know, if the same main lead of "revenge of others" he also was there in "all of us are dead" and "sweet revenge")

This anime was so hard to watch at first, I almost stopped it. Just the way he was bullied for his looks and then his mom sacrificed so much so he could move and have a fresh start was sad enough. But then he tries to make friends only to get bullied for being friendly 😭. I’m glad it turned out better at the end and hopefully the second season will come out soon!

read the webtoon, it's really good and tells you what happens next. i honestly really, REALLY enjoyed reading it, it contains a whole ton of twists and everything is connected. in recent chapters it descends into gang related stuff, but it's still super enjoyable. just a reminder that if you like romance this is NOT the webtoon for you, as there is close to zero on that genre.
