Wow that is incredible! I have to believe Walt himself would be impressed with that layout. That man is so talented I wish I could be shrunk down an play in there.
I'm guessing that's why the heavy construction. If you think about it, it's just "decorative landscaping features" common to a lot of back yards, including ponds and falls. We have a 3.5' tall recycling "endless" waterfall in the corner of our own tiny back yard, actually - built it myself with stones, outdoor-rated circuitry and heavy duty housings for the pump and light fixtures. I suspect it's largely weather-proof and self-sustaining. Touch up the paint or do some maintenance now and again. When a storm is coming in, gather up the trains and figurines and put them away, and that's about it. It's clear there is a good drainage slope to the whole area, so everything should largely run off. When the storm is over, go out with a leaf blower and clean it up. I'd not be surprised that a professional architect would have thought all that out before starting...
recently adam the woo visited a family who have a recreation of fantasyland in their basement, but this is just incredible. on your next visit take a mini go pro and ask if it can take a full ride around on the train. that would be some amazing footage.
Absolutely amazing! What a fantastic backyard! As a kid I would dig up a corner of the backyard to make a canyon for my cars and dinosaur toys and thought "how great would it be if...". This gentleman made this now grown-up's dream a reality! Wow!
Holy cow! This makes me want to go back to Disneyland so bad! My sister works at Disney World in Orlando, so we rarely go to Disneyland. Just this summer we went and it was so fun!
Any Disney fan would be honored to purchase that home once the family is gone. That yard is spectacular, its actually gave me ideas for my own yard. Love love love.
When I was younger I was really into model trains, and I've seen a lot of set ups in people's open houses, but this is really something else, it's awesome you got to see it!
That's one heck of a garden rail train layout! In G gauge I think! Justin I seem to recall you have a basic Lionel train set! Well that's where it begins! The train set becomes a layout! Not a big thing at frist! Maybe looking more like Mr. Disney's hometown! Cool thing about a train layout is it's your world you can put anything you want in it! Just like Walt did! Disneyland maybe the best train layout ever!
Glad to see that Dave's railroad is still delighting. I was amazed when he first started posting this on the Burnsland Disneyland Railroads forum. Thank you for sharing this!
I would probably need to see this twice because the first time, I'd be sobbing from all the beauty lol. This is incredible!! Thank you for filming this! ✨💖✨
DUDE!!! Great show! Dave has really changed this!! He rocks!! Well... more of a cement that's carved.. formed and carved.. and more like a mortar mix really. With a bit of fiberglass in the mix... but I digress. So so cool!! We need to get back out there and see.
OMG, OMG and once more OMG. It never amazes me on the resourcefulness and talent some people possess. Thank you Justin for bringing this creation to light for all to appreciate. Your videos are both entertaining and educational like no one else. I live near Lincoln NM and your vid covering that area (BILLY THE KID) was accurate historically and the camera work spot on!! Hoping you and the precious Ally and son London, are doing well.
Great video, Justin. I had absolutely no idea that this place existed. What an amazing backyard! You had me at Skyway, and it only got better from there. WOW is an understatement.
1:15 Oh My Goddness! Yow-za, Yow-sa, Yow-za!!!!!! The whole video... That was so, so, so amazing!!! As a Model Railroad and Disney Park fan, I'm speechless!!! Spectacfantasticular art Sheegog Family!!! Exquisite!!!!!! Justin, I'm surprised you never mentioned the "Radiator Springs Racers" cars that were in many shots!!! Awesome Model RR!!! Awesome video of it!!!!
Wow I was so impressed with the tiny mine train through nature's wonderland model at the carolwood barn so I can't imagine how impressive the one they're building here will be!
SO. DAMN. AWESOME! Seriously this has made my day, no my week! The time, dedication, skill, etc. that guy must have to built all this without missing a detail is beyond my comprehension. We all know Walt would've been SHOOK by this haha. Thank you Justin for sharing this hidden treasure, he deserves all the attention from every Disney fan. I'm definitely going to his open house, hopefully this December right after I see the big Disneyland 😁
This is the single greatest thing you have ever shared. Words can not begin to express the joy this video gave me. Thank you, thank you , thank you. edit: Previously, I thought driving the Knott's train was as good as it got ... you proved me wrong :P
I'm speechless. Thank you for this... I just forward this video to friends. Hopefully we go here to mini Disney soon... thank you. I just check the schedule hopefully we can make it in November open houses.
DUDE THIS is the best MINI disneyland ever I have never seen some ONE work on this and I never thought they would be able to pull it off GOOD JOB TO THE PERSON WHO MADE THIS AMAZING THING
That is amazing. I know how much work must have went into that. I have set up a Xmas village that was 10 foot by 10 foot with a train running through, and this is "gargantuan" loo, compared to that. Awesone video.......again.
🤯🤯😱😱 This is exactly what I always wanted to do!! If I ever won the lottery of course. Spectacular, Magnificent, Wonderful Video! I don't know maybe someday.😁👻❣
Wow Amazing. I remember a TV show that showed someone built a miniature replica of Disneyland's Main Street USA in their backyard. Anyone know if they still have it up still?
The Matterhorn would be a great future addition. I can imagine the miniature skyway being extended to go through the mountain as it did in the early days at Disneyland - and it would be incredible to see a miniature roller-coaster-type model (The Matterhorn ride) mixed in with the backyard railroad.
Wow that is incredible! I have to believe Walt himself would be impressed with that layout. That man is so talented I wish I could be shrunk down an play in there.
I'd have to believe he would sue lol
Kid: mom can we go to Disney land
Mom: we have a Disneyland at home
Disneyland at home:
Kid: wait this is actually not that bad
Best backyard in the whole world! Disney should acknowledge this
But the important question is how does he protect the MiniDisneyland from heavy rain and strong winds?
Good question....Maybe a retractable awning that would extend to fully cover. Just a guess...
everything Dave designs is weather-resistant :)

"Seems it never rains in Southern California..." - Albert Hammond, 1972
That's what I was wondering too lol. I know it's SoCal but El Nino seasons wouldn't be fun at mini Disneyland :o
It makes me so anxious to think about wind and rain in that backyard! It’s glorious.
recently adam the woo visited a family who have a recreation of fantasyland in their basement, but this is just incredible. on your next visit take a mini go pro and ask if it can take a full ride around on the train. that would be some amazing footage.

Is it just me or is his voice kinda different
gingersnaps miles I was thinking the same. Seems like it’s a personality or character he is putting on.
Holy cow! This makes me want to go back to Disneyland so bad! My sister works at Disney World in Orlando, so we rarely go to Disneyland. Just this summer we went and it was so fun!
...the True Spirit of Uncle Walt is a alive and well in the Anaheim Hills ...
I signed up for the next open house! Well to get notified for the next open house. *I'm excited and can't wait!*
How do I sign up for the open house? Would love to see it.
