After a hectic day, who would have thought watching a craftsman resoling a pair of Chukas would be more relaxing than a glass of Scotch.
When I grow up I want to be a boot repairer just like you with all those amazing skills and the calm personality that you show. Absolutely great to watch thank you.
Nice work Sole Brother.... nice to see that you kept the old welt..... that’s how I did it when I worked in our shoe shop.... I resoled boots many times using old welts, picking the stitches, and stitching as close to the old holes as possible...... EXCELLENT WORK YOUNG MAN I like your technique for setting the stitcher and we had the same Sole press. Thanks you turn back my clock we WILL MEET SOMEDAY ❤️.....👍 Bob in Colorado
In a world where we throw everything away , this is perfect . We need more people skilled in this art ! Love your videos
You all probably dont give a shit but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Graysen Konnor instablaster =)
@Terrance Kabir thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Terrance Kabir it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
@Graysen Konnor glad I could help :)
I absolutely love your videos! Your skill level and attention to detail are phenomenal!! Thank you for sharing your artistry with us!! I look forward to seeing more!
Blessings to you Brian! Thank you for adding in some eye protection. Love the vintage touch, to match your personal style too.
Nicely done pair of boots too.
What a great video! I remember as a young boy bringing my shoes to be repaired by our local shoe cobbler, I can still remember the aroma of the leather and the talent required to do the job. What an Artist, thanks for sharing!!
Our work here on earth is done .... Brian is wearing safety glasses ... believe me Brian it is not just an old man nagging ... you are a genius and we all appreciate your videos and the work you do and long may it continue without a preventable industrial accident. Now, if I could only convince my son to do the same thing.
This is a dying art. It was a pleasure watching this young man work, proud craftsman. All the boot and saddle repair shops have closed in our area. In our small towns there were at least two of these specialized craftsman shops. As they aged out retired or died, the art died out with them. It is a labor intensive craft and nobody wanted to train and carry it on.
Always love watching. And the music goes perfect with what you do. Keep it up!
Awesome. This was one of my favorite videos of yours. Huge fan. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I just cant get enough for your work... keep them coming!
Your works makes me want to wear out my redwings so you can resolve them!
outstanding!! thank you for bringing us along
I literally can’t wait for these videos to come out. We need more!!! Lol great work.
They are soothing aren't they, I just like seeing how he can take an old shoes or boots I think they are shot and he gives them more year's to the person that is going to wear them instead of tossing them out.
جيد
Beautiful. The man is a true craftsman.
I think I speak for many when I say, we would like to see a full boot build from start to finish.
I second that request. I would absolutely love to see that as well.
First of all Brian is specialized in resoling Boots and to do Boots from the start to finish is a complete different
work. Its start with the last selection, Upper designing, Pattern making, Upper leather and lining cutting, Parts
stitching together, needs a special machine, eyelets setting, insert counter and box toe, insole preparation, upper lasting,
welt stitching, midsole and outsole glueing and stitching together, sole trimming and finishing, upper polishing.
there are so many different steps to do and to know about boots making and I think Brian is very happy with his work and business what he is born for. Brian is a wonderful Boots maker in his field. Brian keep going I love your videos, thanks.
@@gregnoll2475 I get it. Now he makes boots and books as well.
@@gregnoll2475 I think he is a newbie to this channel and not watched any of Brian's old videos to see that Brian is also a qualified boot maker.
I look forward to this shoe show on Sunday. Super filmwork. A lot goes into the shoe and the show. Thanks
Hey dig those safety glasses! Good idea. And vintage style too!
Loving those shoes, makes me want a pair of chukkas now. Mahalos!
Brian, another fantastic video. Thank you for the calm today.
Great job Brian. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Brian! A true craftsman! Enjoy relaxing watching your videos. Music is so soothing
Honestly I take naps to your videos, not because they are boring lol but because they are so damn peaceful. Keep em coming Brian!
Excellent job Brian.
I know the customer was more than happy with the results.
Keep up the great videos. Brian you are such a talented younger craftsman and there is something very relaxing about watching you work and using the old machines. The music is great that you choose for the videos.
Brian super job well done keep going the world needs good Shoemakers, thanks
Could watch these for hours Brian, thank you
So glad we still have people like you that dont let that skill be a thing of the past and hopefully you will keep passing it down ....great job!!
Awesome job as usual. They look great Brian.
Beautiful boots, excellent work as always!
Well done Brian, great job!!!, God bless you and your teacher too, saludos desde Iztapalapa CDMX 😉😉👍👍
shoemaker to his shoes
Love watching you work.
Hi Brian, first it is so cool that a platform like UA-cam exists, so you skill can be highlighted. In an era of consumerism, most people throw away old shoes as they have the income to buy new ones. Not many people take their shoes to get repaired and many people don't know the value of real leather shoes, most shoes now days are made of PU leather aka plastic . Nice to see a young man doing a honest job.
A joy to watch true craftman. Keep them coming. 😊
Great job Brian, I enjoy watching your videos.
Wonderful craftsmanship 🙌
Sundays are something to look forward to. Awesome!
My favorite boot!
The red wing chukka!
Talk about bringing it back to life!
Well done on getting some real safety goggles!
Like today's video, lovely pair of boots made better than new!
lol...safety glasses! Im glad you listened to your concerned viewers. You do great work Brian, my father did this for a long time, and I can tell you first hand, that your craft is like if you were 40 years in of experience. Keep up the good work.
Amazing craftsmanship! Be proud.
This is really special work and a lot of people take it from granted but it’s pretty cool
Wow, your skill is amazing. I actually viewed this whole video. It's...kinda memorizing to see something like this. It was soothing and the music...relaxing. Keep it up. 👍
Nice work again!! Love the safety glasses!!
You have an excellent photographer. He or she is an expert at their craft as are you. Just really fine work on both sides of the lens.
My first real job was at a shoe store, and i was the boot man for 4 years. Its cool to see some of these high end boots being brought back to life. These videos are both interesting and relaxing. Keep it up man great content
Shout to u n ur maestro
Keep up the good work brain..
You're a craftsman. A pleasure to watch.
Beautiful work. Your very talented.
My wife bought a pair of 100+ year old boots on ebay a couple of weeks ago. They're in surprisingly good shape, but the leather was very dry. I used some of the Cadillac boot conditioner that you recommend on them, and couldn't believe how much it brought the leather back. It's supple and strong again, and you'd never guess these boots were made back before the Titanic sank.
You,re a realy crafsman and See your videos can help me Tío much congratutions Brian
great job Brian... 👌👍
Outstanding!!! Reminds me of having my military shoes resoled .some 2-3 times. Nice part was they where broke in and shiny when i got them back.
Beautiful work young man. God bless you and your family 😉
You are an inspiration!
Very nice job, as always.
Love Brian's videos.

Cuanta paz transmite el verte trabajar hermano, saludos desde Tijuana 🤙🏿
I feel that's very relaxing to watch your videos.
Excelente ,esto te lleva al pasado y llena el Alma
You cool,
Love watching master at work.
Thank you
Awesome job man, as usual.
Nice to see the teach in the background.
Beautiful workmanship
Awesome job Bryan, the style of shoemaking is legendary and the young people say there is nothing else to learn all of the old skills and trades still need to be applied today's technology world if they only knew
Finally some safety glasses! And in style too
miraxell I always wonder when we see the machine with the “safety glasses required” decal. Is Brian wearing them....? Finally, an answer!
Except he left the laces in, I guess it was a trade off lol. He’s definitely an amazing talent but laces in the boot with a machine like that is a no no.
# Enjoying his JOB !
Such a beautiful and novel profession 👏🏽👏🏽
# People have to KEEP WALKING, safely ! But for such people, can't imagine .....!
in my book your the best wat a great work.
Very good work I like the new look of this old shoes
Cool build Sir !
I love the safety glasses!
Nice one Bri!
Great video as usual! Don't forget to show before shot next to the finished product at the end. I miss that 😜
Excellent!!!!
This man displays a great deal of skill and craftsmanship. I doubt there are many people today who have this ability.
You sir are a craftsman of the highest quality and level.
Lol your glasses make you like like a minion from despicable me. Good work resoling those boots!
Awesome job! and nice music :)
The boots look great! What’s the pros and cons of keeping or renewing the welt? Also the goggles are just the job!
Awesome!
very nice you look so comfy in your expertise of work
You're a talented young man, Brian. I bet your father is extremely proud of you!
What beautiful craftsmanship.
Nice to see the eye pro. If you're not wearing ear pro you should. I tell my guys that when they get old, they'll want to be able to hear their grandkids. Even low db noise will kill your ears. Plus it allows another layer of introspection while working that will surprise you.
One question, when do you determine that welt needs to be replaced. When I first watched, I figured, after watching others that replacing the welt each time was the "right way" to repair a boot/shoe.
Comment. I just resoled my WESCO Highliners and of course they have no welt. I drilled each and handstitched. So I'm looking forward to the WESCO engineer boot rebuild.
Thanks for these great videos.
You're the best!!!!👍🔝
I like the way you drive the adhesive in instead of just painting it on.
Great work
Great work 👍
I don’t own any boots and I’m not into shoes but damn do I love the videos keep up the great work!
Здравствуйте! Очень нравятся видео, красиво и интересно! Есть вопрос - что за крем наносите в конце на кожу, для ручной обработки щёткой? Просто увлажняющий жирный крем для коженной обуви?
Good job, well done, impressive.
Woohoo safety glasses!! :D
Extraordinario trabajo quedaron como nuevos. Una pregunta que tipo de crema le pones al final?
That just melted my sole 👍🇮🇪☘️
Great personnel great job.
Puff!! Good work!!
Damn had a cool pair if RW hikers. I threw them out not realizing they can be resoled. Lol
Nice work Brian
I'm also from Los Angeles. Keep on cobbling. Maybe some day I'll travel back home and have you resole my boots!😀
