- I added some code which fixes the depth of particles. Its a little laggy though so ill probably just keep it as an option.
Oh yeah and I added particle colors back :D

Would be cool if you could make the colors mix or diffuse into each other based on velocity or viscosity.

When I first saw the Nvidia flex demo I never thought I would see something on the level of it in gmod, absolutely incredible. You are one of the greatest creators in the community and I have to just say thank you for what you have done.
The fact that this is even possible on Source at all is mind-boggling and hella impressive. I definitely have to try it out sometime.

Would be cool if the colours combined slowly to an average with a setting, kind of like how mixing colours works in real life.

Like at least one other person here said, I think there should be an option for the colors to combine. If they are truly of the same density and same material type but different colors, then they should mix like paints normally do. If they are of different density, like mixing oil and water, then the oil comes on top and separates from the water.
Finally, a worthy successor to RACK 2.

this could honestly pass for a blender simulation
really makes me wonder why blender fluid sims take forever to simulate but this runs real-time and seems pretty accurate (fluid stays correctly inside of the colliders etc.)

ngl first liquid color looks like portal 1 acidic one. You should try loading that small level and fill the floor with it

You gotta add the ability for the colors to mix properly. Like pour blue and red and it slowly turns the concoction purple.

Would it be possible to have the water's color be dependent of surrounding particles, sort of like a dilution script. In my head I'm imagining something like a gaussian blur but that might not be correct.

Dude, could you tell me how you came to be such a talented programmer? Are you using Lua when it comes to gmod? What kind of books or teaching materials did you use to get to this point?
Im self-taught over the period of ~5 years (though you could probably learn in less by reading and watching tutorials). Having a friend group around the same level can help too since they can explain concepts that you may not understand. (and vise versa)
I have a question, but my effed up illiterate brain will probably not be able to sell you the idea I have but I’ll try.
Is local cube map reflections impossible? This looks different from your gallium mercury demonstration 4 months ago, but I can’t place my finger on how. As far as I can tell, the shader spheres look purely like math born spheres, where the gallium looked polygonal especially inbetween particles where they were told to stretch and connect simulating surface tension.
Is it possible to make the visual effect of stretching and combining the sphere shape towards and combing together to neighboring spheres more intense? This looks like sea foam, or orbies at some points.
Sorry if both of these questions are impossible to implement and a waste of time or a headache to achive
