- In this video members of the chapter, I will be talking about the newly released Warhammer Horus Heresy action figures that were released by JoyToy fairly recently. Then I will move onto talking about the size creep that is slowly happening with JoyToy x Warhammer 40K action figures and what we can do to try to mitigate the size creep.

TBH, I was slightly irritated with the running size creep... especially with the Terminators as I feel like I just got those UM and BA squads and then the very next Terminators are not only quite a bit larger, but also have different proportions. Admittedly, I like the larger sizes better but now I feel like I invested in the older models only to have them upgraded within a 12 month period it seems... I don't like the idea of replacing all those figs with better ones this quickly, but it is what it is at this point. I think it may be a cautionary tale about going hog wild with lots of figs before a line settles on scale, but who knows they may never settle. The Heresy space marine figs are just as big or bigger than Primaris and that doesn't match up at all lore wise, but I suppose those "could" be considered different lines, so there's that...

I am with you in being in pick and choose mode and not being a completionist. For the "issue" about scale creep there are cases where I will segregate my figures (e.g., the DA terminators are my only DA figures, together with the Primarch and they will stay together), for Ultramarines where I have tons of older figures, I will mix and match to simulate natural height differences. Anyway, I will wait for sale before buying the new 10th edition terminators: they are cool but I can wait for sale events!

Im with you on the limiting to characters with the 30k. Only getting Fafnir and Sigi to go with Dorn. Horus, Abaddon and the Justaerin.
I wish money could grow on trees for all of us so we dont have to pick and choose what we like but sadly, that is not the case for most of us
The size of the new terminators is an issue to me. I have like 3 Ultramarine terminators, the first ones. I am not buying the new ones because they would all look silly next to each other. Also the armor seens somewhat diferent in some parts even if they are suposed to be the same.

You do you, and your reviews is still most detailed Joy Toy reviews out there. Personally, I've got myself Imperial Fists sargeant from 30k - sick figure, but it will be the only 30k figure in my collection.
Size creep is a problem, but not for me. With good poses (which I can achieve through having no more than 10 figures at my Joy Toy display at one time) the size difference is not that much noticeable.

Also, Joy Toy announced some Tyranid figures, a warrior and a gaunt to be precise. And a new Terminator Chaplain from 40k, with a shield and two croziuses!

About the topic Size Creep, I just won't buy the new Terminators. I think they will look ridiculous next to the old ones, and honestly, they are unnecessary, they are not needed in my collection. I will only buy Severus Agemman because as you said, he is a special character, and if he is a little bigger or different from the other terminators it won't make much of a difference, as he is a unique character. This is not the case with the other new common and ordinary terminators.

The other thing is there's more detail on a lot of the traditional lead miniatures than on these larger 1:18s which is bizarre. There's more space for it on 1:18.
As for 30K marines, I like this design, but as they are new, for now will proceed collecting good old figures. Except of Horus, Abaddon and Fafnir, which are gorgeous. And tyranids, of course.
As for size creep, I agree. For sure, JT is not very accurate here, but in the most cases it’s not critical, imho.
But, definitely feel a lack of space. Two shelves are full and all my xenos already occupied the space near tv, so can be exterminated by my wife soon))
I do agree with you, brother Sprues, space is at a premium. So much new releases!! For w30k yes, only the most iconic characters. Personally, the last figure i bought was a s1 infiltrator, whit nice edge highligths, for about 17 bucks.
About the size issues, not a problem as the details and quality still the same.
The only thing i wish they added in the Deathwing is the the main characters in the space hulk Deathwing video game.

There's also a 4th option, to dealing with "scale creep", which is my personal approach: just don't care about it at all really, and continue displaying figures "anywhere they'll fit" across your eclectic smattering of shelves.

i actually like the leviathan terminators better because next to primaris marines they look much more powerful and intimidating than the original kinda stubby og ultramarines terminators joytoy made
the size creep is definitely noticeable in other areas too besides just primaris getting bigger
I honestly think the size of the tyranids are a little off and they seem rather large
i could be wrong tho( i’m basing what their size should be off the leviathan promo and space marine 2 gameplay previews)
I totally agree with you. I will only buy specific characters from WH30K. I dont like the models, already have Sigismund, Horus and Abbadon are preordered. And its ALL. I Will save money for Future releases i want the Blood Ravens and characters from games like Gabriel Angelos.
I’m worried about the vehicles. If marines get any bigger they won’t fit in them.

I totally understand you. I'm a collector and I can't buy everything they come out. I just pick whats chapter I need.....not all I want anymore. For me, It's about space and my budget. Also you are UA-camr review them.....Damn it's hard. I knew what do you think about that.
Trust me, I would love to buy and review every figure that comes out but I am funded for the most part by my own wallet so I still have to pick and choose
JoyToy has announced they're releasing Tyranid action figures. Wasn't what you were asking for?
i love the JT line but I only collect ultramarines. I do have one rep armor from each chapter (mostly grunts). But space is a huge concern. The Ultras alone take up three billy bookcases AND two detolfs.
Im serious when I say, lucky for you (jealously) they are cranking out a TON of UM
En lo personal creo que el disgusto viene por parte de que, los space marine veteranos o del milenio 30k son más altos que los space marine primaris, es mi opinión en cuanto a los Terminators realmente no creo que sea extraño, creo que depende más del diseño en si, pero no me disgusta en lo absoluto, por cierto ya viste los nuevos tyranids que se lanzarán?

I would love to see Aeldari. They were my second ever army that I collected and dare I say *HERESY* that I love Elder more than than the Blood Angels

with the terminator size creep iam very split. yes they are to big eccept arjac, but they managed to delte all the failures the original termiantors got, shoulder movement, balance and so on. so its a yes and no for me.
