they say Cyberbeast is not available yet. all foundation series are dual motor.
That drag coefficient (0.34 vs 0.489) and low center of gravity really makes a difference! The 400 horsepower difference here is slimmed down by that. I imagine that Foundation Cybertruck hit its top speed limiter as well, which most likely explains why the TRX pulled at the end. That specific cybertruck is limited to 112 mph while the Mammoth does a supposed 120 @ Quarter Mile line. There's absolutely no doubt that a Cyberbeast would blow it out of the water, and for a cheaper price (40,000 cheaper.. if not marked up). In the end, electric cars and electric trucks will be faster and get even quicker, but that TRX sounds good, and is for a different person. | Fun fact: the Cybertruck does not make 7-11k ft lbs torque.. they're using a different method to measure so I wouldn't even use the statistic. It's wrong in context. |

I think you might be the only "expert" commenting here that understands the implication for 112mph limiter in a drag race. Thanks for explaining that to the ICE-heads, so I didn't have to. 😂
The Ram TRX has launch control to minimize that difference, and a surprising amount of traction as well. The biggest difference with the power delivery is more of the control (i.e. traction control) that can change the throttle input almost instantly compared to changing the engine output. Didn't matter as much here... that Ram has some REALLY good launches. @@PozzaPizz

When people race the slowest version of the cybertruck atm and also don't show State of Charge which we all know is important, It just feels like somebodys trying to hide something.
We're in a day of age where everyone is smart enough, That transparency should be the number 1 priority over just biased content.

Seems like the driver of the cybertruck was sandbagging also. Of course, Hennessey posted the video to "show off" their abilities to build a truck that beats the EV that beat the Porsche while towing a Porsche in the 1/8 mile... I believe that even the dual motor should've been more of a challenge. I'm also curious to know the SOC and battery temperature of the Cybertruck for the first run....

Spot on - the fastest 1/4 mile time I can find for a Hennessey TRX is 11.4 seconds. The pre-production Cyberbeast tested by Haggerty ran consistently 11.0 on the strip and Carwow had it doing 11.2sec 1/4 mile on unprepared roads on the stock wheels and tyres
TRX is the best. You make a 1000 go just by changing the pulley on a hellcat motor! Not to mention it actually functions off road!

Know what confuses me. No one does any research with topics like this and instead fights about it in the comments section. The "cyber beast" has a supposed recorded 0-60 of 2.6 sec which is very fast! No one took into consideration (unless you did leave a comment) that the TRX without mammoth modification did a 0-60 in 4.5 sec which almost lines up with the Tesla cybertruck "AWD" variant. If you do a simple search or watch some drag videos you can see the standard "AWD" variant does a 0-60 in about 4.4-4.6 sec which isn't plausible In the video. Now the Mammoth. The Mammoth with a 1000hp kit runs a 0-60 in under 3 sec supposedly. From further research the Mammoth does 0-60 in 2.7-3.1 sec. Now what I'm getting here is that the "Mammoth" is going against the "AWD" variant in this video. This is where none of the facts line up (haters gonna hate here, if your sensitive remove yourself and don't read any further) in the video we are presented with a TRX Mammoth 1000 horsepower behemoth that does a 0-60 in let's say 3 sec flat for scientific purposes. We are also presented with a "AWD" cybertruck that does a 0-60 in 4.5 sec for scientific purposes. That doesn't add up very much now does it.........

The cybertruck presented in the video is a PRE-ALPHA and or BETA of the "beast" variant ooooooorrrrrrrrrr the Mammoth variant was tuned down for the cyber trucks "hype" and "promotion" purposes. The reason behind this is that if this was the cyberbeast version it should have won right? I mean 0-60 in "2.6 sec" as it claimed. Did it now? Not from the videos perspective. Instead the cybertruck was toe to toe with the Mammoth. Where does any of these facts line up?? The cybertruck "AWD" variant is waaaaayyy slower than the Mammoth variant. Well 0-60 wise anyway. So why was this cybertruck going toe to toe with the MAMMOTH in its AWD VARIANT!? Does it have a racing mode that they don't advertise? Did it have slicks on and that's why it kept up??? Was the TRX tuned down to make the cybertruck not look bad???????? No one will know tbh with you all. All I know is that none of this lines up. If anyone can explain further details and or questions I would love to read your comments or answer your questions.

Misleading, comparing base model cybertruck (80k) to 150k modified TRX.

Tesla is the best car company ever no gas stations no oil changes no smog check no corrupt dealerships no catalytic converter no dealer mark up above MSRP and ADM
As much as they have their unique perks they have many downfalls. Their interiors aren’t the nicest considering the price, on many models you have to look in unnatural areas to see your speed, build quality, and lengthy wait times for parts if you get in an accident.
Are these trims comparable? It’s there a higher trim than the Hennessy that’s equivalent to the cyberbeast?
Tried to do a quick price search for the mammoth looks like in the 120-150k range.
After further research(not a truck guy and apparently been under a rock since I’m not that familiar with Hennessy tunning). I’ve concluded that this race is trash and also sad.

Comparing an EV's acceleration times to gas cars are like comparing grilled meat to microwaved meat. Although the microwave is quicker nobody wants microwaved meat.
Evs are cool for like 90 days. After that the appliance effect happens and the owners start realizing they’re defending an appliance.
I know a guy who drives a Tesla but also drives a Grand Cherokee Srt. He loves both. The sound of a combustion engine is unbeatable but the fact that you can buy a car with over a 1000 hp for 85k is crazy. Though you miss that feeling of having an engine it's still an experience that never gets old.
Today is day 898 for me. I'm still extremely happy I sold my 2SS for my Model 3 Performance. More practical, saves me money, and it's quicker. Appliance - "a device or piece of equipment designed to perform a specific task." I would say any vehicle fits that definition. lol

Evs are a soundtrack played at a concert hall. An srt 4 acr neon is like going to a kiss concert. If you like it cool. I was over it after a month. Thankfully paid cash for mine used. Got a mega cab instead.

Fun fact, Tesla sent 3 Cybertrucks to the baja trails for R&D, thus having a Baja mode for the Cybertruck's tri-motor (or it's probably on all trims).

If they had raced the Mammoth against the Cyberbeast, it would have lost big time. 😂 Speed increases significantly from the AWD to the Cyberbeast. The Mammoth is still a WILD truck, but to try to claim it’s faster than a Cybertruck via this comparison isn’t accurate.

This is just a simple drag race. When the charge drops off below 50% you lose alot of torque and pulling power and the cybertruck is a joke off road. Trying this same drag race on a muddy offroad trail with ruts, deep spots and water. You will see a remarkable difference.
For the Cyber beast there's the Mammoth 1200 🤭😉
I’m debating between buying one of these two trucks. Not sure the mammoth can beat the beast spec but I like the sound but I wasn’t the speed of the cyber beast. Tough choices
I wouldn't buy the cybertruck. Tesla tends to work out the kinks after a few years and starts to manufacture better cars for cheaper.
It's not much of a choice. The cyberbeast will be 100k minus 7500 tax credit. This Hennessy is what like 150k. You can buy a cyberbeast that smokes this plus the AWD cybertruck used in this video for your wife
@@KA-x2 The cybertruck might seem practical but there are too many issues with it at the moment. If you want an electric truck get a Rivian. The reports might not be great but I know multiple people with them and not a single one of them has had an issue.
Having driven both recently they are so different and great in their own ways.. I placed an order for a cyber truck just bc it’s so unique and different from anything else on the road
