We just had a set delivered this morning, waiting to see if they actually hooked up the steam hose for the dryer. Very happy to see that drawer to fill water has been removed. My last LG set lasted 13 years... then the washer lock failed and it was time for the 40000 Great video
Congratulations on your new set! Since you paid for installation, everything should be ready to go. I declined the install fee and installed everything myself and I had to go out and purchase 2 extra hoses to make it all work. The dryer only comes with the T adapter but no extra hoses. Thanks for watching!
@@trueblue6070 the outfit I went with includes all the cables, hoses, installed - as well as haul away of the old units for an extra $75 Units were $799 ea. + tax You're welcome.... very helpful
@BWUSAF that's great! I delivered and installed appliances in high school so fortunately I learned enough to avoid those installation fees lol hope you enjoy your new LG wm4000hba for yeas to come! Best of luck
Ran across your channel & new to it. I’m looking to buy a new washer/dryer. Thanks for posting - great detail & explanations. Please post more if you can. Thanks!
Hi, i think it is a vented electric dryer. have you had any problem in venting heat in the space? I will appreciate that if you share your experience. I am looking for a replacement of our ventless one.
Good video thx just ordered the washer was looking to possibly get matching dryer so but seen a lot of bad reviews and wondering how they r still holding up especially dryer? Thx
Nice overview! We ordered these. I’d like to add that the 4000 doesn’t come with a washer drum light like the 4500 higher units. I was kinda bummed about that.
Thank you very much! Yes I will agree with you on that. I was bummed about the no drum light inside the washer as well. The advertised picture on LG clearly shows a lite washer drum. Don't really understand why they couldn't of added a light? Lol thanks for watching!
I don't know if anyone's asked yet, but have you encountered any issues with the use of pods with this washer model? I keep seeing vídeos saying not to use pods or softener with these front loading washers. We prefer to use pods.
I think as long as you let the inside air dry after the wash and cleanup under the front gasket after the wash, you should be just fine. There is a magnetic tab on the bottom of the door that we use to let the door be slightly open to let the interior air dry and it works just fine.
I bought an unfinished piece of lumber they sale at lowes that I had to cut to the size I needed. This lumber is packaged in plastic when you buy it but it was alittle longer than I needed so I had it cut at lowes. I then sanded it down at home and painted it with a durable cabinet paint in the color grey you see in the video. It wasn't too bad to do and the results were definitely worth it. Our tops of our washer and dryer stays protected and now we also are able to keep our laundry stuff on top. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Thank you very much! The 2nd chime indicates an error or a reminder to clean your lint filter before starting your next cycle. There are sensors that let it know when you have removed the lint filter. Thanks for watching!
Hey, Did you have problems connecting the dryer through wifi? Also if you have load that already dried but a towel needs alittle more time but you want to do another cycle. I tried but it went to 56 mins then 1 min and stop. I thought it was weird instead doing the full cycle or counting down as normal.
Hello and thanks for watching. No the wifi connection process was and should be easy as long as your wifi router is set to 2.4gz. These appliances have to connect to a 2.4ghz frequency to function and connect properly. I have a step by step video on my chanel if you'd like to check it out. As for your dryer, the dryer has a drying sensor that detects the wetness of your clothes and will adjust the time accordingly depending on what its sensing. You can adjust the drying level on your panel to less, more or very dry. Adjust the dryer to "very" and it will continue to dry for your liking and will not stop until very dry. Hope this helps you
So am I to understand that the steam fresh just dribbles water out that nozzle in the back of the dryer. I put a flashlight in there and watched it and it just dribbled out and I guess it's supposed to heat up and turn to steam? It doesn't actually shoot out hot steam?
Yes it will drizzle out water from the nozzle but it does produce steam. It's hard to see if you have a lot of clothes in when using the steam feature but if you start the cycle without clothes, you can see the steam. I thought the same until I tried without clothes and watched and I could see the Steam.
@@trueblue6070 ua-cam.com/users/shortste3YiYdpJN0?si=qVnBNQloplVIiIaN So that is ok? I just wanted to verify seemed a little odd to me and you have 48 hours with home Depot to return it I didn't want to deal with the repair
@@tommytfaafrom what I can see from your video, it's producing more drizzle than steam. Mine drizzles as well but produces alot more steam. But steam is hard to capture on a video. You may want to do a replacement while you still have that option just to be safe. Check out the short I just uploaded and compare the difference. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@trueblue6070 thanks Even with the bright flashlight in there I can't see any steam it's just dribble and splatter so I'm contacting home Depot right now I appreciate the support you are better than LG
I just bought this set, I have a question. What kind of noise does your washer makes as its washing clothes? We are expierencing a light howling noise from the washer, is this normal?
LG front load washers with turbo wash are my favorite....they use more water in the rinses than other front loaders... way more water in the rinses than in the wash... that being said...I think they base all washers NORMAL cycle on government regulations... so anyone might want to avoid that cycle as I think it would likely be the most stingy with water... My first choice would be a speed queen front load but those are built like tanks but outrageously expensive... As for the dryer....hopefully it will last... the pairing is neat...I just hope they last... I think it might be wise to plug them into an appliance surge protector....When my whirlpool duet (now almost 20 years old) dies... I will be getting the LG with turbo wash front load in white and if I hit the lottery, maybe a speed queen front load.
Well, since you started this debate I will chime in as an Electrical Engineer. It is in fact an ALL LED "Display." Every light on both displays of the washer and dryer are all light emitting diodes. I think you are confusing the difference between a LED "display" and a LED "Screen." A screen uses smaller led pixels which can show images. These machines have LED indicators and what is called a seven segment LED display... But still ALL LED. 😊
Unplug your dryer for 30 secs, press and hold the play/pause button for 5 secs and then plug back in. This will reset the dryer and you should be able to connect with no issues
Congratulations on your new set! Hope yall enjoy for years to come. Yeah a commission would be nice but honestly I just enjoy helping others in deciding what's best for them before buying. Thanks for watching!
I second this!! I have spent the last week and a half looking at ALL sorts of washer & dryer sets. Both online and person. My brain hurts. I’ve been to Lowe’s, Home Depot and Best Buy to see different models in person. I’ve posted on Facebook. Looked at UA-cam and tiktok haha. All different brands…. Top loaders, front loaders, you name it! My husband and I bought the cheapest set possible (Hot point) 10yrs ago. Think we paid $750 total for both while they were on sale…. With extremely minimal settings/options haha. I want to make sure I get the best I can, and avoid frequent problems/negative reviews. His videos are most of the ones I’ve come across! Definitely appreciate it!!
I appreciate that. Yes its a very stressful time trying to decide what to invest your money into when it comes to washers and dryers especially in 2023. Lol technology has came along ways and it's no exception when it comes to laundry. I also spent time researching before buying this set. And after almost a year of ownership. I can confidently say, this set is definitely the sweet spot for the money and for what your getting. Thanks for watching!

You'll definitely not be disappointed with this dryer. Lots to offer and then some. Thanks for watching!

Am trying to find out if the dryer has it's own heat pump. Have read specs and cannot find this answer!
Great video! This helped me make my decision on my next set!
Good video thx just ordered the washer was looking to possibly get matching dryer so but seen a lot of bad reviews and wondering how they r still holding up especially dryer? Thx
Thanks for the vid and the good idea for the shelf
Can you please do a video on how you set the washer and dryer up with Alexa.
Yes I sure can, thanks for watching!
If you turn off the “Energy saver” on the normal cycle its gonna allow steam

Does the countertop sit right on the top of the washer and dryer?
Great job, if you don’t mind me asking what was the paint color?
I used paint brand valspar and "weather vane" color
Question, what is that you have on top of the washer and dryer? We love the top you have on your washer and dryer
Thanks for watching! I actually made that piece from a piece of lumber sold at lowes. Cut it to the size needed and sanded and painted it.
how do you move the washer out so you can get to the dyer to clean the vent pipe/
Great video, I have the same set and I thing there great, when I turn on the dryer theirs a second chime? Would you know wht that's about?
