Recently got a Quroc Crossover 10′6 and couldn't be happier. In a direct comparison with a Red 10'6 Ride; its lighter while still being just as (if not more) stiff. Its nimble and agile while still being more than stable enough, and the optimised shape means it cuts through the waves better, loosing less speed and being unsettled less. Tracks great with the supplied fin, while having the option to switch to any other US box fin, if you prefer to trade some tracking for better bed/weed clearance, or more agility.
The details of the board are also a step above. So nice to be able to remove the front and/or rear bungies without untying/tying knots, bottle holders are so handy its crazy they are not standard on all boards, the multiple handles make awkward launches/landings over rocks so much easier.
The included accessories are just as high quality. 100% fibre paddle (with its own bag), solid and comfortable main bag with plenty of space and handles (although, granted, this is the one part where the Red package is even better) and even the included dry bag is good enough you'd never need to replace it unless you needed more space.
Quroc as a company also tick the boxes, easy ordering, free next day delivery, and very fast replies from support if you have any questions.
If the board was lost or stolen, I'd buy another to replace it without hesitation.

Thank you so much for leaving your comment here with your mini review of the Quroc 10'6. Sounds like you love the board and glad to hear it is working for you. We enjoy using Quroc boards and they certainly listen to customer feedback about how best to improve which is always a nice thing. Thanks, Beau

I finally bit the bullet and ordered the 10’6 Crossover last week and took her out for the first time this weekend. It was an agonising choice, especially given the value and looks of the Gladiator Pro, but I think I’ve made the right decision.
First of all, it really is light. Even fully inflated I was able to walk the 6-7 minutes from home to my launch point without difficulty. And it felt much easier carrying the paddle in its bag for the journey as well.
The bungee positioning is brilliant. I’m so glad it has a useable rear bungee section: was able to put my shoes here so they didn’t get wet when I changed sides with the paddle, while the little gear I had stashed at the front did get a bit wet. It’s also worth noting that the rucksack folds up nicely and will fit under the front bungees, so if you did want to go on a one-way paddle and get the bus/train back you could. The bottle holder was a nice touch as well: gives a bit more space for stuff under the bungees.
It was good to ride and nice being so close to the water. For comparison, I’ve previously used a Red Ride 10’6, Jobe Yarra and Blackfin XL (the last one was too big for me - I’m 5’10 and 70 kg - but was borrowed from a friend for a paddle boarding holiday). As to be expected from a 10’6 board, it would be nicer if the board tracked a bit straighter, but it was no different to the Red Ride or Jobe that I’ve both ridden several times on the same stretch of river; however, the Crossover did feel more manoeuvrable: I was able to navigate around several groups of paddle boarders and between a couple of groups in rowing boats. But I was also able to take some of the sharper turns on the river more easily. Not plucked up the courage for step-back turns yet, though. I should add that the paddle felt so nice as well - light, easy to assemble and very comfortable to hold.
Is there anything I’d improve? I think it would be nice to add a spare fin screw to the repair kit (one less thing to worry about). Also, when I briefly carried the backpack, I did notice the straps dug into my neck a little. While this could be remedied with a hip strap, that would add to the weight and bulk (and I do like that I can pack the back down). A better solution might be to just redesign the seams. But these are just minor points, and the bag does come with wheels so it will only be on my back for shortest time I suspect.
In summary, a really good board and I’m happy with my purchase. It was great being out on the water on it. Thanks, SUPboarder Mag - great review and definitely helped with my decision making.

Enjoyed this review and Quroc do seem to offer one of the best packages out there. We tried paddle boarding on Tignes lake in the Alps a few times this summer and loved it so much. After seeing this review I’ve just ordered a 10’6 Quroc for my wife and the 11’4 for myself. Where we live in Hampshire we can easily get to the Kennet & Avon canal, lakes and rivers in the New Forest and beaches/marinas on the coast from Poole to Portsmouth. Fun times ahead on our Qurocs.

Does the backpack fit in the bungees for the 10'6"? One thing I dislike with my current board is having to go back to car and put away the pump and bag! Also wish they made 4.7" versions for the longer boards for light people.

    • @SUPboardermag

Im sure it would without too much of a problem. Just remember to give it a wash with fresh water after. And good point about the thinner boards. Thanks Reuben
