Great review! What a nice mill setup. Looks to be very solid and well worth the money. Hopefully I won't need a new mill for a while, but when I do this is certainly an option. Cheers Brian!
JB is really top shelf with brewing equipment. That unit looks like a real winner. Thanks for sharing Brian. Not sure I can justify 1300 for my home brewery but you never know. Cheers.
Yeah I hear you. I wonder how an increase in efficiency = less grain used would equate to break even point. Depends on how much and often you brew I suppose. 👍🍻
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers that’s a great point. Life cycle cost might be worth it. That thing looks like it would run forever where most mills break down in a couple years. I may have to run the math!!
Now that’s a nice looking mill, it also look like it will crush Consistently! I never did replace the SSBT mill after the second POS they sent me got sent back! That calibration tool is an extremely nice touch! Very nice video Brian thank you🍻
Great review. This mill would be a great asset for a homebrew shop, or for BrewTubers doing frequent brew vidyas. But for homebrewing, at 1200+ greenbacks? My complete Brew Easy system wasn't too much more than that. I like it, it seems super robust, the stand is a great addition. The ease of adjustment alongside the stand a industrial quality screams, peace of mind if you are moving volumes of grain, brewing commercially, or supplying cracked grains to a clientele. Blichmann goods are always well engineered. We had to take notice of their attention to quality right from the start. The question remains, how much actual crushing is required to keep me brewing at apace satisfactory to my consumption. Great Product, Great Review Brian.
Thanks for the great review! I'm curious about how this mill compares with the RMS Micromill. The Blichmann mill has about 44% more throughput capacity than the RMS Micromill, but is about 1/4 the cost. What makes RMS so much more expensive? Especially when the Blichmann mill has fluted rollers, while the RMS Micromill has knurled rollers, which are considered less ideal than fluted rollers from what I understand. I'd appreciate any input! Thanks!
Thanks for the review Brian. Obviously a solid product as always but the price point has me wondering who their target market is. This seems outside of the ballpark for most hobbyists. As always thanks and cheers!!
Hey Brian. I had to get off Facebook so i dont have access to all the fantastic mods for the robobrew. I was wondering if anybody has tried to control the robobrew with a raspberry pie?
Great for a local brewing store...seems like complete overkill for the home brewer (unless you're just a HARDCORE Blichmann fan)..really nice, though! I thought my cereal killer was too much at $99 - can't help it, i'm cheap. Cheers!
Haha. Yes you are right. It's actually not made with the homebrewer in mind. It is really from the pro brewing line. There are quite a few beer shops that have ordered one. 👍🍻
@@steventrott8714 WOuld love to see a sturdy stainless steel frame available. You would never need to buy another mill again and only maintain or replace parts that wear. Wow that is a thing of beauty. I didn’t think it was possible to continue a conversation when a grain mill is running!
Haha. And I didn't really have to raise my voice. 👍🍻
That thing is a beast! Great thorough review Brian!
Thanks!! 👍🍻

Wow! Awesome new piece of gear! Thanks Brian!

This new mill looks awesome. Thanks for the review.

Hey Brian! Was just thinking about your channel last night, thanks for the informative video.

All good points! And good observations. Thanks for commenting!! 👍🍻
hell yeah! great video brian!
Thanks Braj!! 🤘👍🍻
Did you ever report on the beer that you made using the mill like you said at the end of the video there?

I cannot speak to the difference as I've not used the RMS.
Fantastic review as usual sir. I think that will be my purchase next year.
Thanks for the feedback!! You won't be disappointed I will tell you that. 👍🍻

It's definitely targeted toward microbreweries.
Great review Brian. Thanks for this
Thanks!! I'm gonna enjoy further testingI think!! 👍🍻
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers I'm sure. Looks like a super sweet mill. I'd love one but that's not in the budget.
That´s purdy. My jealousy level is at 18. Cheers mate
Thanks man!! 👍🍻
Great video, look like a beast!
It is for sure!! Thanks Christian!! 👍🍻
Have you tried milling corn? How did it work?
I don't mill corn so I wouldn't know how it performs.
Oooo that’s pretty! What a monster!
Haha! It is for sure!! 👍🍻
Hi. Saw your review of the Blichmann Mill. Wanted to see if your opinion of it has changed since you've been using it for a few months?
More testing is underway.. stay tuned!!
Nice machine! I know you said 10 in the video but on a normal miller what gap setting do you typically use with your all-in-one system?
0.035
@@ShortCircuitedBrewers appreciate it!
Wow not cheap, but nice and quiet and lighting quick!! Cheers
Definitely!! 👍🍻
When are you brewing a batch with grain crushed with that mill?
The video will be released soon. Stay tuned! 👍🍻
can it do corn?
I am not sure
Now that’s a mill!
Haha hell yeah it is!! 👍🍻
Great Video
Thanks! 👍🍻

@@ShortCircuitedBrewers i just want you to know i got my robobrew because of your review. You have the best brewing channel on UA-cam
@@newbeginingshomestead3422 thanks man!! I appreciate the feedback! 👍🍻
What's the cost of it?
I cover it at the end. It varies by options. Base mill is $979 no stand etc.

Brian, I sent an email weeks ago to get my prize I won. I never heard back.
Blichmann is a little behind on one of the components. I got a message saying they will ship your prize soon.
The mill I have been rolling with for 6yrs, was $150 and still produces..... Over $1200 for this????
If your happy with what you have. No reason to change. 👍🍻
MDF panels?
Hate that material
You can get it without the stand.
That's true! 👍🍻

I don't doubt it's a great product but $1200 is nowhere near what I want to pay for a grain mill as a home brewer.

@@ShortCircuitedBrewers Yes, for a microbrewery it might make sense if you put several bags of malt through it every week.

its perfect for HB but too f***ing much expencive!!! Its a mill not a supercar...
