This is an *AMAZING* discussion on existential horror or what have you, but the confusing parts is that this is somehow: 1.) How outsiders felt only 2.) Those outsiders were self identified "nerds" as apposed to "jocks" "headbangers" and "goths" and "preps" and 3.) This was even somehow common among "nerds" "geeks" "spazzes" and "dorks" which were, by the way, different things completely and might not at all identify with this excellent soliloquy.
Actually, nerds and other high school weirdos (totally different dynamic today) aren't a "thing."
It only seems that way to "groups" who perceive it is a thing.
Most people only consider other people when it comes up. Nothing wrong with that, just how it works. I was just like this kid and felt this way, but I wasn't anything like this kid at the same time. I knew people who could say the same, the opposite, and a hundred other possible positions you could take. It's fun to think of things this way, but dangerous to make public policy on those thoughts. This goes out to all the people who think they are political and have a position. Adults are concerned and interested but non committal...not like what we have seen now. The radicals would do well to recognize what actually got results...if they really wanted what they sat they do. Sorry to be political, if it helps, Im not on any side...my issues put me in the middle, though that isn't a popular consideration, it is for some of us a stark and very real reality.
