Was that by Mick Rock the famous rock photographer? Cool stuff. I'd only ever seen this once before - on the 'on-site' cable station at one of the Hemsby festivals in England in the early '90s. Rock on!
On 0:28, my brother Joey Chico, spitting..He & Freddie were the best of friends..for more than 40 yrs FARM CLOTHING STORE IN BENSONHURST 20TH AVE & 86TH ST WAS MY BRO'S & FREDDIE WORKED THERE. Can't help but get chills up & down my spine. WHAT A THRILL..ROCKIN' & ROLLIN' FOREVER!! PAX VIA MUSIC VIVA MARIA
RIP Freddy , he was awesome and is missed. I worked on a video for him at the Peppermint Lounge in NYC in the 80's. There was another act "Fats Deacon" there too but I can't seem to find anything on him.
My late Uncle John Marcoccio was a good friend of Freddy's. They even did a record, FiJi, together. He gave me a copy of Knocking At My Door. Love it. RIP to both.
Freddy if you get to read this ? I'll always cherish the many hours we shared making music , a memorable night doing this piece with the BMTS AND Ribetones. I love you and I'm sure we'll reunite up there in heaven. Love Philly Spina
GoodBye Freddy, thanks for letting me play with you and all the encouragement you gave over the years to all of us Long Island Musicians. You were, and continue to be an inspiration. Joe Z.
I saw you do this in-person so many times that I'd forgotten just how good the recording was. Freddy, you are already missed so bad. There's a big hole in the heart of rock n' roll this week and it'll take some time to heal. See you where those of us who "believe in forever" will one day find you.
R.I.P. Freddy Frog.
You will be missed by so many people that loved you and your music.
