Great video! I’m currently a barber student and I just started cutting clients on October 2023. My instructor told our class during a lecture that barbering is not just about cutting good but it’s also about having a great personality and being reliable. I’m still new in my craft and I have gotten discouraged but my passion in barbering helps me strive to not giving up. Me and my friend are the only ones in the new group of barber students in the master barber program! Months back I couldn’t even hold clippers confidently much less cut a client!
Very helpful video. I'm a fairly new barber just got my license about 2 months ago. I'm 38 and been in construction 15 years and still doing it. Soon I want to make the switch to a shop but haven't yet because I'm still trying to make sure my bills covered. So I'm in a tough spot I'm worried when I make switch I won't bring in money I need at first
I would recommend if possible to do a partial transition at first. That way you can give yourself a bit of time to build some sort of clientele. Unless the shop you plan on going to has a large influx of walk in traffic than you should be good.
I apologize for the video cuts starting to glitch towards the end of the video! I’ll have to find out what was causing that.
