The stuff you're expressing at the end is 100% normal. I go through this at least once or twice a year. So I've started to try and manage myself better day to day, week to week, and not burning myself out on both making videos and caring for the plants. It can be a lot. Keep doing you! You'll figure out what works best for you 💜
So glad to see you back and even more glad that it is on your terms and in your own time. I have only 28 plants at the moment (actually 29 but one is on her way out once I figure out where she can go) and burn out on them from time to time. Watching videos like yours motivate me and make me fall in love again. Thank you for contributing to my plant love /therapy! I love that new planter and I’ve always LOVED your style.
Hi Amanda!!!! I missed you so much!!! I’m happy you feel better. I like your decorations, your Plants, your suncatchers, your disco balls and so on. I put all in my living room inspired on them. Thank you for being here again!!! ❤️❤️❤️😘
I love 💓 your plant 🌵 room. I'm glad you're feeling better. Our mental health is very important, and I'm glad you figured everything out, and did what you needed to do to cope and get through it.😊 Please don't quit UA-cam your videos are fun and informative to watch, but do whats best for you! 🌼🌿🌼
Thank you for coming back to us.❤ Also, thank you for sharing your struggles with mental health. 😢 Not a lot of people feel comfortable talking about it. I too struggle with it, 😔 but I'm glad you got through it and your doing better 😊 I look forward to your upcoming videos 📷
Great points, one of the reasons why I’m really deliberate about the plants I bring into my collection. It’s easy for it to become a burden. thanks for sharing!!!!
First off, thank you for opening up about your mental health as I'm sure it's something that most people can relate to but not everyone is comfortable talking about it. I agree that gardening should bring peace and joy so if you need to downsize or make videos less often then I can 100% support that - self care is top priority! Hopefully once the craziness of the holidays passes (if not sooner) you're able to feel this anxiety really start to fade 💕
Thank you 🥹🥹 the season change really does play into it but it’s been getting better ❤️ it does feel weird to talk about but so many people deal with these issues that I think more people should talk and make it a normal thing.
Exactly!! I've just recently started to look into getting therapy and even approaching the idea of medication if that's what we determine would work best and it's 100% comforting to hear other people talk about their journey too!
I’ve missed you. It’s glad to see you back. I’m thinking of clearing out some of my plants. The ones that I just don’t enjoy taking care of. I’m going to my 50th high school reunion in 2025 so the money from the plant sales plus stuff from my garage and house into an account for that trip. There are no relatives to stay with so I’ll be in a hotel. I’ll need Uber to drive me around. I’ve got a few nephews to see while I’m in back in Virginia. I’m so looking to going back there. Welcome back !!
Amanda: Great to see you back! Hope to see more videos again. Due to the extreme heat and drought here, I slowly moved most of my plants indoors. 🪴 I hope to see some nursery or big box center this year. In the meantime, working with my existing plants propagating and helping them thrive. Plant chores were getting too much also! Take care, God bless! Aloha!
Love the cactus, that planter is perfect, and how the plant room looks. A hobby shouldn't cause us stress, change is always a good , glad to hear you figured out what works for you to make it a happy thing again, and nice to see you back .... Happy Thanksgiving
I honestly really like your decorate with plants mindset. That is exactly how I feel. I really don’t understand how people manage 200-300 plants and stay sane. I had maybe 20-25 plants, became pregnant and I couldn’t tolerate the smell of soil so 98% died. I recently started acquiring new ones because I really enjoyed plant care. I think if any hobby becomes overwhelming, it’s no longer a hobby. I enjoy your decor and would love to even see those sorts of videos 🤗
Love the Monstrose cactus. don't beat yourself up over not feeling up to putting out videos. I think we all burnout at one time or another and I can't image feeling obligated to film my plant upkeep. Do what you can and we'll be here when you feel up to it.
Hello Amanda!!! This is only the 2nd video I have ever watched of yours. The 1st was Airplant care. I appreciate your honesty and I am happy you are in a space to continue with UA-cam. I really wish more people would be honest about mental health We are all human and have to live our life as best we can. I look forward to your travel/ plant store videos, any plant hauls and yes the styling of plants.I look forward to using the discount code in your shop. Thanks again and be well. ❤
Amanda!!!!!!!! Girl! I have missed your videos so much!!! I watched this on my tv when it came out and kept meaning to leave a comment. I’m glad you’re doing better! Looking forward to your next video. Happy New Year!! 🎉
I love the authentic Amanda. I think its normal to get overwhelmed, especially by the things that bring us joy because it takes energy to nurture. We plant lovers love our plants but I dint know about you but my obsession caused me to over collect,so when other areas of my life needed my attention, I found myself juggling out out of control😅. Funny now but whew, what a tight rope act that was untill I found some plants dying off because Id forgotten to water a plant baby. (Since not evry plant has the same watering neeeds its a commmon mishap. we have make some adjustments here and there in order to have a sense of balance. Taking moments away from it all and downsizing was a smart moveI too have downsized and have found relief by taking mental breaks as needed from my plants , my job my children ect.as long as.you do it responsibly, it's all good in the neighborhood.😊
Beautiful cactus/planter combo! Now that it’s been like five months, did it ever root? I’m tempted to order from them, but have no experience with rooting cacti 😬

Hi I read your article on growing alocasia corms. How often do you spray or mist the substrate?Or do you just leave it?
May we see your outside plants?
Hey, did you change your mind and quit? I hope not! ❤ Hope you’re good.
