- If you want to see the beauty of autumn in Korea, you must check out Asan Gingko Tree Road. It is one of korea's must visit place to enjoy the beauty of autumn. One of Korea’s most instagrammable walking roads and is located in the Asan-si countryside.
Asan Gingko Tree Road was built along Gokgyocheon Stream in Yeomchi-eup, Asan City. The ginkgo avenue was created in 1966 as part of the Hyeonchungsa sanctuary project in 1966, with a total length of 2.1km from Chungmugyo Bridge to the entrance of Hyeonchungsa Temple in Asan City. After 40 years of planting, these gingko trees, which are over 50 years old, grown into beautiful golden trees. Currently, there are a total of 350 trees growing along the road.
To avoid the teeming crowd, visit this place around 9:00 -11:00am. You can have the best picture shot, with the percfect view. Come late and you'll be stuck at the queue.
The BEST TIME TO ENJOY THE CRISP GOLDEN AUTUMN :November 5th-10th on the weekdays or early morning on the weekends
We visited the place on the 6th of November Saturday, arrived at 9:30 am and left around 11:00 am when big crowds started to teem
How to Get Here:
* Take the KTX from Seoul Station (40 minutes) or
* take Seoul Subway Line 1 to Asan Station (almost 2hours) then take a taxi to the Asan Ginko Tree Road (은행나무길).
