My dad always took me to see the Tahitian dancers when they came to Charlotte when I was growing up back in the 60s and 70s. I loved it so much and I'm still a fan of the music and the dancing of all the Pacific Islands. I watch the Merrie Monarch Festival every chance I get
I hate people who think it’s cute to say “how come no one is talking about X” to give a compliment when literally everyone in the comments is talking about it and making the same stupid remark.
Awe the comments are adorable! This is actually one of my good friends, who is NOT Hawaiian and neither is she Tahitian! But she was one of my favorite dancers! I’ve danced alongside her at the Polynesian Culture Center and she really was a bubbly a sweet person. She’s actually petite, but she always made a big statement when she danced. I MISS YOU TINA GIRL!! LOVE KAHAIA!❤️❤️
I miss this dance class so much, my college had a wonderful woman teaching us her dances and I enjoyed it so much and then covid came and the gym closed I was crushed.
I love how she models the first steps simply, then adds on more and demonstrates how to do this in stages. Great teaching job, dancing, and everything! So adorable and awesome!!! 😊❤
Tahitian ori : Dance originating from the Tahiti or French Polynesia. Mainly central Polynesia. Hula: Hawaiian word for dance. Traditional name of dance originating from the Hawaiian archipelago in Northern Polynesia.
Absolutely beautiful, the young lady’s exuberant smile, dance and overall vibe, feels like the sun ☀️ coming out! This is not the gross 🤢 dancing of some people who act as if they are engaging in Intimacy in a public arena. This is a traditional dance of old to be passed on to generation after generation.
@Nadia I agree. It's like looking at any random Arab girl and saying, "Omg you should be Jasmine if they make a reboot." I'm sure OP meant it as a compliment and wasn't trying to be racist though.
EM Club, Kodiak, Alaska, 1969. Two beautiful Polynesian dancers left an indelible memory in this sailor! Still can't figure out how they move them hips!! Incredibly beautiful jet black flowing hair, down their backs - all the way down to the grass!!! Skin the colour of Honey! You go girl...
Dances like this shows that a woman/girl can be captivating and beautiful in an elegant and really tasteful way not having to be half naked at all cost…

What most people mistake for Hula dancing actually isn't Hula at all. It's actually Tahitian style dance. This video is an example of Tahitian dancing. If you want a good example of Hula, I recommend looking at videos of the Merrie Monarch Festival.
Jeeeeeeeessssssuuus that long fat black super curly hair is so beautiful 🤩 and the way she works with those hips got me wanna dance too cause she just makes it look so easy and fun 👑👑👑I love it 🥰🤙🤙🤙🤙😘😘😘😘

This is not Hula, this is Tahitian dance. Hula is from the islands of Hawai'i and what you're seeing is Ori Tahiti from the islands of Tahiti.
I was about to say this.

Also it is not necessary. The focus is the dance. That is probably what ought to be admired because it takes practice.
Gorgeous dancing. Her smile and the ease with which she moves, is breath-taking.
У неё прекрасная улыбка! Очень красивая и позитивная девушка! Смотреть одно удовольствие!
