Just as a little safety note in regards to bunk beds next to windows. It might be an idea to put something over the bottom part of the windows in Flynn’s room to ensure he doesn’t trip and fall through. This type of accident happens more than you’d think. So happy to see how happy Flynn was to seeing his new bed. ❤

I am somewhat concerned as well because the slide could give the kids access to the window. Hopefully, if they haven't done so yet, they can put childproof locks on them so that the kiddos cannot open the windows themselves.

Also another safety tip, that needle pump adapter could go in one of the baby’s eyes in a heartbeat, very scary 🙈

I’m absolutely crying laughing at the fact that Colleen literally birthing 3 children didn’t make her feel like a parent, but building a bunk bed does 😅

Birth can feel extremely weird and painful, so being a parent can take much longer than birth to completely set in 😂 My mom still has moments of realization that she’s a parent, and I’m 20
i don’t think she meant she didn’t feel like a parent before.. i think it just made it really click in or hit hard that she’s doing the most generic thing as a parent
I think that she likely meant that building the bunk bed felt like a very 'parenty' thing to do. I'm pretty sure that she has felt like a parent to her kids prior to the bed building. She and Erik have discussed how sometimes it just hits them that they are parents to 3 kids!
@@LilyRoseTulipDaisy I think it’s normal to feel like “oh my god I’m a parent and I have children” because before kids you only have to worry about yourself. With kids it’s suddenly wow. I take care of these small humans

So happy for Flynn and his bunk bed. His excitement was the best. As a friendly suggestion, placing the bed along internal walls rather than by the window would be a safer option for smaller children.

Colleen! It's important to say "no" sometimes, to establish proper expectation. With birthdays, Christmas, packages, it can lead to unhealthy expectations.
I’ve heard her say no in many videos. They’re fine, don’t worry about them.

I’ve never really thought I want kids when I’m older, but watching Colleen and her kids makes me want children. The love she has for them and the memories they make together is precious!

I find it interesting when parents think that 2 boys rooming together and the 1 girl rooming alone is the only option (besides them all having separate rooms). My brother and I roomed together till I hit puberty and we loooved it; so many good memories from that time. Obviously it totally depends on the individual personalities and needs of the kids, like maybe Maisy will much prefer her own space. But it just got me thinking that I hear parents talk like a brother and sister sharing a room is inappropriate, and I don't really see why?
My brother and I shared a room our entire childhood and when it came to the point where we got separate rooms, we’d still want to be in the same room. It just depends on dynamics and dependency

She totally contradicted herself as she was yabbering on in the beginning, saying that they didn't tell him he was ever getting one.... But then two seconds later she said how he picked this one out, and how he wanted the curtains on it, and picked out new sheets... He obviously knew he was getting a new (bunk) bed. There was no surprise what so ever, besides the fact it was already built in his room when he got home.

We love bunk beds, but PSA: Bunk beds are not recommended by AAP for young children (under 6). So bunk bed use is parental choice.

Also, you need to be so careful with him next to that window with that slide. Falling through a window could kill him so quickly. The shards of glass could cut him so badly and get a vein or artery. My grandfather almost died falling through a window on the ground floor.

I'm the oldest sibling in my family but... not really. Before me, my parents got a yellow lab, Noel. She was the best dog ever. She lived to be 14 1/2. I love watching home videos that have her in it. My favorite that I've seen was a Christmas morning and I was laying against her like she was a pillow. She didn't mind. She loved the three of us to death. I will never forget her.
I hope that your kids will grow up and have the same fond memories with Moose. ❤
