She strikes me as the most honest human I have ever heard speak. I wonder if she even knows how to lie. I'm captivated by her. I have to add her to my bucket list, meet Marina Diamandis and talk to her for two minutes, at least.
she's so right about not having a deluxe version. I bought Paloma's deluxe edition of her most recent album which came with acoustic versions only to have a repackaged version come out later. I felt like I was conned.
I’ve noticed throughout a lot of these Froot interviews they always brought up Electra Heart and looking back I get it, but it’s a bit odd how EVERY interviewer brought it up
I can't stop looking at her lips, I wouldn't be able to resist the urge to kiss her lol. She's honestly just gorgeous though and has such a lovely personality.
wait. she contradicted herself. she claimed to like 'happy' bc it addresses a universal topic that "could be relevant 50 years into the future or 50 years back, unlike the song Savages." however she had also constantly expressed how the fundamental themes in Savages (war, rape, conflict) were to continue indefinitely through time, which in her logic would pass as universal topics. huge discrepancy!
What i believe she meant was that Savages is more of a reflection of how she sees the world for herself, so although it was written based on universal and ever lasting human themes, she thinks of it as her entitled opinion on those subjects. But Happy is a "more universal" song because it is not as specific as savages, it is a reflection of emotions most humans experience in their own lives, so more people can rely on it. people may not "buy" the argument on Savages as much as they could buy the one on Happy, simply because Savages is how she feels about humanity, and Happy is how most people feel about their lives on certain times.
chicojhj it's probably because Savages touches a very specific topic like the Boston Marathon bombing, while basically everyone has felt or will feel what Happy talks about.
I love hearing her talk about her creative process. She's so eloquent.
+Ailene E
This is what's called eloquent in English? English is my second language and I can understand everything just fine.
+Sheldon Cooper I think by "eloquent" here, they mean that she speaks clearly and communicates her thoughts well.
How can you not love her? So intelligent and intellectual. I can listen to her talk for hours.
I love how Face Culture has an interview of every phase Marina has had, TFJ, EH and finally FROOT :)

Record labels are doing it to Lana Del Rey too, so to prevent that she released Honeymoon instead.
