Interesting. I’m 38 love watching your videos. The key point here is you said not to roll the wrists. I was always told to do that to keep the ball on the ground. Mind you I’m a left arm chinaman number 11. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Very insightful
Scollsy, in my game plan, I don’t play the cut, because it is my weakest shot and if I can’t drive on the front or back foot when it’s outside off, I just leave the delivery alone. I’m strong on the drive and the pull/hook shot (currently working on whipping off the pads), so I leave well and try to wait for my ball to play. Would you recommend trying to bring the cut shot into my game, or just focus on the few shots I’m strong at.
ideally you want to have at least one off side shot. try to get better at playing the cover drive. I've seen tons of club batsman score half centuries with only a good cover drive also interestingly ever single international batsman going around has a decent if not an excellent cover drive. leave the cut shot after you have tried to make the cover drive work..
Xzcvyu As I said, I’m strong at driving off the front and back foot (including the cover drive) - but it’s the off side shot I have is with a straight bat.

Could you make a video on Front foot cut shot, like Virat Kohli plays to balls on good length on 5th stump line. Thanks.
I was just trying to teach my kid today how to play cut shot and next thing this video pops up in my UA-cam recommendation. Spooky
