Actually, they tricked Godzilla into following them across the entire planet, getting him to fight the xillians and the other monsters. Godzilla chased the Gotengo around because he wanted payback for getting buried in ice. He didn't know what was going on, and didn't really care unless it effected him.
Really hope this plays in the final monsterverse move with the final villain being destoroyah as the titans are forced to unite or face extinction. Protectors and destroyers forced to work alongside eachother to face a mass extinction incarnate

This version I imagine playing as Godzilla, battered and beaten by countless battles, marches off to face the final threat to planet earth, fighting his way through the last few waves of lesser enemy monsters. The original version I imagine playing when he finds the power to defeat the final enemy in a badass way.
I feel like i missed alot of things from this movie. like the intensity and the crowd reactions, it feels so special. this remix reminded me of the power of godzilla.
