This song may sound best when sung in French, but Irina's emoting was a masterful demonstration of her skills as a singer and artfully conveyed the mood, despite singing the English version. The Pianist, the Clarinet and the Double Bass artists are equally competent masters of their instruments and their music. An amazing performance!
At first, I thought I was mistaken in thinking that I had detected a possibly more-creative-than-usual variation from Irina during the early part of the song, which in turn, triggered a chain-reaction of spontaneous creativity from the Clarinet and Piano too. The more I have viewed this video, the more I am convinced that this is a well-adjusted group who complement each other perfectly, and create great music together. The Bass player's expressions say it all! Cheers!!!
I will propose a Russian version before the end of this year. (I have already tried English version of Latin Cantate Domino by Croce and Russian version of Jamaica Farewell by Harry Belafonte). Excuse me for my bad English. I am Chinese. :-)
