Nodule surgery? Never sing again? Hold my beer. In my angst filled years in the 80's, this was the vibe. 40 years later, my hat's off to her. Side note- It's a Heartache is pure magic. Rock on 80's ❤
Nothing short of sensational. Bonnie Tyler is 69 and this was filmed LIVE just last year in 2019. Stunning! Her voice can still belt this timeless song. I said this in 1983 when the song came out and I'm saying it again today - EPIC! Bonnie Tyler and Total Eclipse of the Heart are EPIC.
Igual; no pasa nada. Tranqui. Still sounds amazing after everything she's been through. What an amazing performance! I can't imagine single that song at 20. Imagine singing it at 69 after vocal surgery. I don't know many people who would even try. Damn, she can still hit those notes. Love her!

The singer that did country from USA. She blended country and pop. She got a disease on her throat and her voice changed forever. But she killed it. Forgot her name

I think she did great. I used to sing well, but after I scarred my vocal chords after thyroid surgery I can hardly sing. It is absolutely heartbreaking for me. I never knew how much joy singing brought to my life. Bonnie is truly one of a kind, her voice gives me chills.
You can tell she really misses being able to hit all of those notes, but at the same time for her age she is still better than all the shit we got on the radio now a days.
what the hell are you talking about? she hits all of them and she only transposed the song by a step and at her age, and with the constant distortion she adds, that’s insane!
she was 68 when this was taken - very amazing -- her voice is still incredible -- singing live -- no lip sync -- yes she is older but still how many people 1/2 her age can do this ? not many if any at all
Oh my God Bonnie is 71 now and she has still got it, a truly timeless song. Sung with pure emotion and conviction, a timeless song from a timeless performer. She is still as beautiful as ever, and that voice wow. Bonnie thank you beautiful angel for this truly wonderful song, and thank you for the memories of listening to this song when I was in my youth.❤️❤️❤️🌹
First off, I'm really impressed she's doing it in the original key. I came into this expecting it to be lowered. Bonnie has always had a unique sound--I just looked up that her grit comes from a nodule surgery in the 70's. As someone who is a rock singer, but also classically trained, I of course am concerned for her vocal safety, but everything she's doing here sounds exactly as I would expect for anyone after 35 years and she's doing very well knowing that and her history. I do almost wish they'd lowered it so she could make some better choices, but I will say Kudos Bonnie for keeping it up more than 35 years! PS., Whoever directed this video made some real weird choices for the audience closeups...
Yes and don't forget the 60's - i was born in 1967 but had 4 older brothers and 2 older sisters that schooled me on their era's music while I was growing up!! Thank God they did. Nothing like being a kid in the 70's and teenager and young adult in the 80's!! Wish I could go back.
@rrr ccc You can never say you weren't warned. It is written: "Be not deceived, God, is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Now, go back to worshiping the creature more than the Creator, and everything will be fine. You'll see!!! 😊 WWG1WGA
Cantou Total Eclipse of the Heart 100% ao vivo. A música e a interpretação tocam profundo em nossos corações. Impossível não se emocionar. Parabens Bonnie Tyler.
Way to go Bonnie!!!! Never ever give up!!! And never ever take no fo an answer!!!! If someone says you can't do it show them and yourself YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Verdade Ricardo , ela ta enchutona ainda , a voz rouca i poderosa dela é rara pena qui a mídia so mistra o lixo qui eles mesmos fincaran na mente dis jovens.
O tempo castigou a voz .
What a horrible thing to say , people get old , she loves what she does leave her alone..if ur not interested .. always someone like you to stick the knife in.
Bonnie. Nunca imagine volver a verte y escucharte casi 40 años mas tarde.
I LOVE HER VOICE! She is freakan amazing! Singers from her era are lip synching because they cannot manage to sound like they used to. She definitely still sounds like the power house she always sounded like!
This was a huge "I LOVE YOU" to her audience and her fans. I can see her heart, she's ripping it open on the stage. I think she was a bit emotional at the end. It was beautiful.
This made me tear up - it's so beautiful to see her performing 100% live even though she knows that she won't be able to hit every note. It is beautiful and sad at the same time. While she definitely looks like she is having a good time, I think that she is also a bit sad because she knows how she performed this song back in the days and that those times will never come back. Bonnie Tyler, you have my highest respect for this performance!
It’s almost like she’s singing about her journey from her past to present voice, her singing telling it through her voice. Each time she sings “nothing I can do….nothing I can say…” So poignant. Heartfelt.
That permormance gave me goose bumps and tears .. Bonnie can convey so much emotions in her singing voice. Male singer was super clean and powerful , I liked How he merged with the song toward end.
Such a gift to still hear Bonnie Tyler sing this timeless, emotional, and breathtaking song live and with such passion and beauty. We, your fans, are grateful! Thank you, Bonnie!! xoxo
Are you kidding me???....It may not be 1981 anymore but for Pete's sake she still has it. From what I've read in the comments she had throat surgery, told she would never sing again and still play a set is astounding. Bless this woman!!!!

Verdade, as pessoas so sabem criticar, deveria ver a idade dela e o empenho.
Everything that we are will deteriorate inevitably
Our face, our hair, our skin, our body.. everything, including our voice
Personally I think she is still amazing for her age ❤️
An Dion As Rod Stewart sang, in one of his songs (“Young Turks”), time is a thief.
As Marilyn Monroe said in the song diamonds are a girl's Best there is a line in there that says we all lose our charms in the and and yes we do she looks fantastic in for her age sounds wonderful absolutely love her!!!!
An Dion her style...suits her perfectly 👁
An Dion exactly. The cartilage in our larynx ages as well as our joints. To be able to sing as well as she does is amazing.
nobody wins against time
This really is a timeless classic. Yes, her voice isn't what is used to be... however when you're performing at this level with many songs over the years Bonnie has been, what do you expect? Keep it going Bonnie! You rock!!
Doesn t she had some throat surgeries? I think that s the reason behind her voice but it still sound awesome

Age has made that voice even raspier, she's still got it though. God how much more creative pop music was back then.
Creative? But she wasn't very creative. She didn't wrote the song....or any of her few big hits.
@@frederichorndasch9302 I didn't say she was more creative, I said pop music was much more creative.

She sang this song so beautifully, amazing women
She was 68 at the time this was recorded. Although her voice has (quite obviously) faded over the years, all the respect in the world to her for getting up there and singing her #1 hit song from nearly 40yrs ago!!! She is still incredible! You don’t see many 80s stars still getting up on stage and kicking ASS! Good for her. Absolute legend.
No one talking about that background vocals dude and his amazing voice?
He really is.
He’s name is Marco Mengato
Oh my the audience is so dry. This song rocks and Bonnie can still rock it. I would have been TURNED UP!

Te has pasado un pelín, no?
Igual; no pasa nada. Tranqui. Still sounds amazing after everything she's been through. What an amazing performance! I can't imagine single that song at 20. Imagine singing it at 69 after vocal surgery. I don't know many people who would even try. Damn, she can still hit those notes. Love her!
It still sounds amazing? Real?
@@MrTheduuuuude I think. Because I searched Voice, Got talent... So many young lady or boy sing this song, but except one Romanian girl it was so so weak compare to THIS and NOT the original... Of course her voice not like 40 years ago, but than she was about 68-69.

I think she did great. I used to sing well, but after I scarred my vocal chords after thyroid surgery I can hardly sing. It is absolutely heartbreaking for me. I never knew how much joy singing brought to my life. Bonnie is truly one of a kind, her voice gives me chills.
Thyroid surgery almost always changes the voice due to the way the surgery is done. Bonnie did great!

You can tell she really misses being able to hit all of those notes, but at the same time for her age she is still better than all the shit we got on the radio now a days.
Agree totally.
Though she fails to hit the high notes, she still manages this masterpiece passionately from the bottom of her heart
@David S. Agreed. It's always passion rather than technique that matters.
@David S. cher says hi and disagrees
She's actually straining her voice so hard at points I worried for her. Age & lack of vocal coaching re protecting your voice I'd guess.
holland If you have a chance to see her live performance of this song in the 1983 Grammys, you will realize how powerful her vocal was at that time.
what the hell are you talking about? she hits all of them and she only transposed the song by a step and at her age, and with the constant distortion she adds, that’s insane!

Beautifully stated !

She beautifully performs one of her hits from 40 years before. Not many artists are ever asked to do so. She was magnificent.
Ela também foi a cantora escolhida para gravar "If you Were a Woman and i was a man" do lendário escritor Desmond Child, que meses depois mudou a letra e entregou à Bon Jovi como "You Give Love a Bad Name"

Go Bonnie, I got chills and very emotional .......still singing this in the original key too.
That backing singer nailed this! And Bonnie, at this age singing such a powerful song!
Way to go Bonnie!!!! Never ever give up!!! And never ever take no fo an answer!!!! If someone says you can't do it show them and yourself YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
