Please wash off your miscellar water guys, it’s not a replacement for toner. Also steps for skincare go, cleanser, toner, essence (liquid), serums, eye cream, moisturizer and last oil. Think molecule size, how can a lightweight serum molecule penetrate a thick fatty oil molecule? It can’t. Skincare always goes lightest to heaviest. Hope this helps ❤️
AlmasAli18 hey dear, why do you need to wash off the micellar water ? I thought it was just to remove the dirt, make up or sweat off your face using a cotton.
@@courtneyjefferson5522 yes you do wash it off because it has surfactants in it that basically act as soap and will eventually dry out your skin and cause more damage than good
I love how her skin care is so affordable!!! Garnier and Vaseline wow. Usually celebs are using million dollar products that we know we can’t ever afford. So refreshing to see her routine!
I've always wondered why people talk about using micellar water as a toner. I mean it is technically a surfactant (like soaps are) so shouldn't you have to wash it off?
Micellar water is suppose to be used before cleansing and cannot be used in place of a toner. Essences are used before serums and you can use oils on oily skin and acneic skin it can actually help balance your complexion. Jojoba oil is a great example as it mimics your skin's natural sebum. You can tell she has naturally good skin, and she did not use her products in the proper order. This is for anyone who is interested in taking care if their skin, be careful with these videos because some of the people do not know anything about skin and don't give the best advice

Imho using a washcloth helps a lot and does a little bit of exfoliating too. End of dissertation lol
Amy Lebeau essentially this is true. Micellar water should be used first as it needs to be washed off, however oils are best applied before or mixed in with moisturizers. Your moisturizer creates a barrier sealing things in and blocking things out.- a licensed aesthetician
oh my God yes to the washcloth, I do that too, it makes a huge difference to my face, in a very good way, never skip to washcloth with warm water after the first cleansing😊

Alessia is just so real. It's so freaking sweet that she genuinely wants to share her knowledge with the rest of us versus just treating it like a PR moment.
Nice video but; 1. Use micellar water before gel cleanser. It's not to be used as a toner, it can be irritating and should be rinsed off. The double cleanse method includes an oil cleanser, not micellar water since it's not a part of the cleansing step. 2. Put oil after moisturizer, or mix them together. Don't put it before. 3. Don't use a spray as a a last step. Go from thin to thick. The water evaporates and if you let your skin be wet without putting a semi-occlusive or occlusive over you risk transepidermal waterloss.
I agree with everything you said except for the oil part. I prefer to press oil into my skin first and then lock it in with an occlusive moisturizer. I use rosehip seed oil which is a dry oil and doesn't make my combo dehydrated skin oily.
I was about to comment that micellar water should go before the gel cleanser haha And I agree, generally the order of skincare products should go from thin to thick

I love how you see she's been using all the products because they're all half full or so, it shows she doesn't lie about the products so we buy it, I love that
I really want to try that eye cream now! I inherited the *worst* dark circles (thankfully I don't have any fat pads/bags under my eyes though!) and they drive me crazy! Especially with a college sleeping schedule that's all over the place, my dark circles can make it look like I was punched in the face! Her skincare routine seems really good, and I love that she uses products that aren't super expensive or unattainable. Gel cleansers and masks are generally really good for hydrating the skin, and you want to stay away from products with sodium lauryl sulfate (the ingredient that makes cleansers foam up and bubbly) because those can dry the skin. Take it from me, I used to think that if my skin felt dry and tight that the oil I produce wouldn't come back to haunt me. This is *not* the case, however, because when you strip your skin of it's natural oils, your body goes into overdrive to replace the oil content you took out that was *supposed* to be there, thereby blocking pores and doing more harm than good. Another thing I learned from Renee Rouleau (an esthetician/skincare brand founder who has worked with the likes of Demi Lovato, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lili Reinhart) is that you should only put skin oils on over moisturizers. This is so because of the molecular size of the moisturizer is much smaller than that of a thick oil. So if you put down an oil before moisturizer or serum, it can block out the moisturizer from penetrating the skin because the bigger molecules block the tiny ones in the moisturizer from reaching the skin, making them sit on top of the oil instead of penetrating the skin. I personally don't use oils because for me I'd only really need them if my skin is dehydrated, but just thought I'd put that out there because I noticed her doing this step before moisturizing. Don't mean to sound nit-picky or anything, whatever works for her is fine too and maybe the oil she uses is lighter and less dense so I could be wrong but I just thought I'd get this out there. Love Alessia so much, she's such an amazing person!
Thx for sharing your regular night skin care routine this was very helpful alessia looks much better without makeup she dosent need it at all she’s a natural beauty.
I like how natural you are. You don't use any fake smiles or hand moves like most UA-camrs do! .. thank you for this video, one quick tip though.. you want to put your oil last because it locks everything else into your skin. And by the way.. the way you talk reminds me of Alisha Keys for some reason. All the best to you!
Actually one of the biggest myths is that oil causes acne and pimples. Pimples usually happen when the skin is dry. Keep the skin moisturized with oil/moisturizers after exfoliation or cleansing and breakouts are reduced. At least this is what helped me.
micellar water is not a toner and its suppose to be used before cleansing with a gel cleanser. you can either use micellar water or an oil cleanser to remove your makeup or any dirt on your face. after double cleansing use a proper toner, then essence (if you do) then serums, moisturiser then oils and eye creams. remember to always apply the products from the THINNEST consistency to the THICKEST. because if you lay down the oil first, the other products cannot get properly absorbed into your skin. think about it like pouring oil onto water and then pouring more water on top. the oil acts like a barrier and it prevents the water on top from seeping through. same thing with your skin. oils are actually got for people with oily skin (if used in the right order and the right kind of oil) why? because it kind of tells your skin that it is already "oily" and itll produce less sebum . sebum is the oil that your body produce that can clog pores and cause acne/pimples. marula, jojoba, hemp seed, rose hip, squalane oils are some good oils for oily skin and will not clog your pores :) as you can tell alessia probably has really good skin already coz shes using her products in the wrong order and her skin is still clear... luv her thO ... just take note...
