I just searched on Google to see how it looked before, and it's shocking. There's a place called vasagat, and it looked absolutely stunning. Imagine if the city still had all the marvels it lost. It would probably be my favorite city in Europe. It looked absolutely breathtaking, honestly it would be up there in popularity with london, prague, rome, Paris and more. and apparently people chose to demolish them...
Yeah, it's ashamed what has happened to the Vasagatan. But trust me, there are still so many beautiful, historic areas in Stockholm that have retained their charm.
For anyone interested to know what has happened to Vasagatan 👇 Vasagatan is a major street in Stockholm, which has undergone significant changes over the years. Historically, Vasagatan was lined with grand, ornate buildings and beautiful architecture. However, many of these historic structures were demolished in the mid-20th century during a period of modernization and urban renewal, often referred to as the "Norrmalm redevelopment." This led to the replacement of many of the older, more ornate buildings with modernist structures, which some feel lack the aesthetic appeal of the originals.
