@@WalkAboutWayne What is it with only giving one-month visa? Cos of the Scamdemic? Any chance of at least extending the visa? Good, helpful vid. I planned on Da Nang but this one-month visa has put me off. I hate packing up and moving on after only a few weeks. Cheers
Thanks Denis! It's very close to the rains now mate, everyday we getting stormy winds. The end of smokey season is in sight. I have 1 more Vietnam vlog coming and then it will be back on the Chiang Mai videos and updates.👍
Hello Wayne Another great vlog , the Robin hotel looks great and cheap, I prefer the cheaper small hotels or guest houses in Thailand and I find them better than the larger hotels, more personal service and friendly people Thanks
Amazing value Wayne. Thanks for doing one of these. I like to get a feel for the costs around SE Asian countries for accommodation. The thing is if you were to stay at these places as a long term occupant they'd likely be even cheaper if paid upfront. I remember back in 1993 paying $5.00 a day to stay at the Expat Hotel at Patong Beach Phuket for 3 months. Even back then it was a steal so this one unbelievably cheap at todays prices. There's no robbing at the Robin Hotel buddy. Cheers man 😂🤣😂
Great location & super value room Wayne . Small & family run is always a bonus . I also limit use of air con as I always pick up colds if alternating between city hotels & island life
My wife and I are going to Danang in January. Will definitely look up the Robin hotel. Hopefully there will be rooms available. Thank you so much. If you know of any other spots in Danang, please let me know.
Nothing wrong with that place at all! Hopefully there s a visa change coming end of May where you can stay a lot longer. I stayed HCMC pre 'the issue' and loved it, Da Nang is on the menu for next year and where you are ticks every single box I have - so thanks
Hi Wayne! I am Việt Kieu plan to visit Da Nang this year…and I found your channel. Is Robin Hotel a QUIET place to sleep at night. I saw you booked room 404 (in the back) for extra privacy. Is this room the highest in the building? I know that the higher you go, the quiet it gets.
Hi, Robin Hotel was a great place. I have to admit, they had construction happening outside when I was there. I'm sure it's fine now though. I had the end room, yes. I think there was another 2 floors above me.
@@WalkAboutWayne .….Agree. If there was a construction 9 months ago. It should be completed. I will check it out. I think 6th floor up and in the back should be quiet! THANKS!!
Hi mate, good to hear you like Viet Nam. how long did you stay there? Which one do you like more That land or Viet Nam? which one are you going to decide to retied at? and why?
It come to about $8.50 a night, great deal. Was some construction happening when i arrived but it calmed down after a few days. The walls are thin and i could here next door. Nothing that hampered my sleeping though.
Good one! You are doing a week to week as you say. What would the monthly rate be for a 3 month eal? If you don't know for sure an estimate would be fine. I just want an idea. Not clear if you're on the beach side or city side. I'll be checking you out. 👍🇻🇳
I don't know really, maybe find a place for $150 a month. You can only stay for 1 month at a time with the visas, so you would need to keep leaving and coming back. Yes, beach side.
Like the open shower better. Bathroom: porcelain, water, soap & me. The last thing I need to add to that equation is glass. You can have the stall. 👍🇻🇳 Sometimes I put up the wrong flag. I'm used to you in Thailand. Every so often one of the video guys/gals I'm used to seeing in Vietnam turn up in Thailand or Malaysia. I got it right this time.😊
Nice hotel Wayne. No wonder they call it the Robinhood... it's a steal at that price. I've always been impressed with the value for money you get at places in Vietnam. Always gotten awesome places in bigger cities etc. Of course you got a room with a back view.... being an arsh man 😅
Didn't know you paid weekly. Something to be said about that. Nice option if you're scouting around for another place. $56. a week ain't hard to swallow. 👍
I Payed around $8 a day to stay at Robin Hotel. I didn't really mention the daily price but i put it up on the screen.
did you see Ba Na Hills
@@mollerdk2000 I didn't go to Ba Na Hills mate, decided not to this time.
$8 a night? Robin bar-stewards.

Man, $8 and no bugs.. that’s twice the deal. Definitely going there someday. I laughed at 9:30 the dude on the motorbike carrying a ladder. Ha.
Great deal mate!! Haha i'll have to look back at the guy with the ladder.
Loving these vlogs mate. Getting away from the usual and common places and giving a feel of the real city! Brilliant!!

Yes, I loved staying at this place . I’ve heard it’s a bit more pricey nowadays , but still cheap.
Thanks for sharing this, nice to know I can find a place for cheap while I look for permanent housing. Lose the sweatpants man 🥵😄
It's probably more expensive now. Never lose the pants buddy, I'm a SE Asian local not a tourist. Hardly ever wear shorts these days 👍

Nice one mate, I been to Vietnam a few times now. Thailand still the winner for me, but Nam is a great place. I'll be going back soon.
Quite a find Wayne! at the price I see online at the link you provided ($8usd) it's unbelievable!. Was it quiet as well?

Nice vid, any English TV channels on the TV?
Cheers mate. I can't ever recall turning the TV on, but I'm sure they'll have a couple English channels.
Hi, can you please give a tour slot for Thai Bihn... Thanks
Maybe next time, I've left Vietnam now .
did you book in advance or is the availability easy to find hotel room ? thanks buddy
I booked this place but it would be easy to find something in Da Nang 👍

Only in Vietnam for just over 3 weeks buddy 👍. I think I payed for a 3 week deal. Still only 1 month visas in Vietnam .
Why CAN YOU ONLY STAY 1 MONTH . I THINK I WOULD LIKE TO GO THERE David in Ireland
Vietnam are only doing 1 month visas at the moment but that's all about to change, with the 3 month visa coming very soon.
Wow £192 per month that is amazing Wayne is it cheaper there than Thailand
Would be cheaper long term for sure. Got my Chiang Mai vs Da Nang vlog coming, so i'll save it for that.
Great! Address please!? 🙏
Location is in the video description buddy 👍
Could you tell.me the address please. Thanks

$5 for a motorbike all day? In Las Vegas NV $5 gets you a 1 day bus pass.
Yes, all day.
Good deal what 8 dollars you can have basic clean it is
Yes, this place was a great deal .
